Going for 2 events on Sunday... the details

Happy Birthday to...
2nd June- Jonathan Leong
3rd June- Genecia Luo, Silver Ang

Sorry for the long delay, cause I've been rather busy for the past few days. I reached home rather late on Sunday, I went to watch a movie on Monday night, and I was uploading pictures on Facebook yesterday. This was how Sunday went...

Firstly I went for morning service with Mother, another guest speaker involved. Then we had lunch at Heartland Mall, before heading back home to rest for a while. After Mum left the house, I went to Bugis for another workout session, then headed to Toa Payoh HDB Hub to see 3 stars at some True Hearts roadshow... the 3 celebs involved are Dai Yang Tian, Alan Tern and Quan Yifeng. Well aware that adorable Hui Si aka "mei mei" was there (cos she obviously likes DYT), I carried on my "primary mission" to accompany her (as well as 'protect' her of course) to Plaza Singapura in a rather long and confusing journey... but eventually we reached Plaza Singapura at 4 something. Along the way, we saw some filming scene at a coffee shop along Whampoa Road, involving Pierre Png, Cavin Soh and Yvonne Lim. The bus was going so fast, I couldnt snap a picture of the filming location in time, but that ddidn't really matter...

Anyway, back to the story. The turnout at PS Open Plaza was pretty overwhelming, to the point that I had to stand up for a while to watch some hip-hop competition. Host for the entire event was Annabelle Francis, aka wife of Sheikh Haikel. Other than the Felicians and Elves present, there was another presence that was most disturbing... none other than that bloody retard Alvin!!! He kept yelling so much til even Annabelle had no idea how to rebuff him. His mentality is like a toddler xiah!! :-(

1735 to 1755 hrs- Sean Garnier and Elvin Ng
1755 to 1810 hrs- official launch of the event by 5 individuals (Mr Lucas Chow and Mr Khaw Boon Wan included), followed by prize-awarding to winners for the various categories
1810 to 1830 hrs- performances by winners of dance and rap categories... plus the arrival of Alvin The Hutt!! (BOOOO)
1845 to 1855 hrs- fashion parade for T-shirt designs, got some pretty babes involved (and Alvin can't seem to stop drooling)
1855 to 1905 hrs- Elvin on stage again, re-assembling a jigsaw puzzle with 3 fans (Alvin included, grrr!!)
1910 to 1930 hrs- Guitar hero finals involving 3 very talented guys with quick reflexes and good observation skills
1930 to 2000 hrs- Finally, Felicia graces the stage!! She played Guitar Hero with one of her fans, and was involved in some blindfold type of game with a Swedish guy. We tried to locate her afterwards, only to find her heading for the taxi stand at the back region of PS.

After Fel left the place, I joined Syaz and Ishardi for dinner cos we were all starving... we eventually chose to have our dinner at McDonald's since it was the only place with available seats, and boy were we in for a (very) big shock... turns out that the anti-social pig Alvin was there too, eating alone!! (WTH) And to think that he tried to bid me farewell after finishing his dinner (and leaving his tray in a big mess, proof that he is a real pig!!)... I chose to ignore him; this goes to show that even a slob like him won't affect my appetite a single bit. After finishing our dinner, the 3 of us went separate routes home, and I reached home a few minutes before 10.

Wah piang, this Alvin damn er xin can... I shudder everytime I think of his attention-seeking ways even now. Should I see him at any type of event next time round, I WILL terminate him and not show him any mercy at all!! :-(

Big Idea day 2 part 2... Ultimatum cast and aftermath

Continued from previous entry... in the minutes leading to 4 pm, the crowd at the Big Idea tent located outside Plaza Singapura had increased tremendously, and the stuffiness got worse within minutes. After a 15-minute preview, the cast of the upcoming blockbuster drama "The Ultimatum" finally graced the stage at 4.05 pm. All 12 cast members scheduled beforehand showed up, plus an additional member, Constance Song!! :-D

Line-up and group photo prior to individual interviews

Zoe plays Ye Yucheng, daughter of Songnian and Wenyu raised by Songnian's 1st wife Suzhen. Yucheng and Songqiao, half-sisters born on the same day, were swapped at birth due to the negligence of the hospital staff. Upon discovering who she really is, she goes to extreme measures to keep the secret at all costs.

Fann plays Fang Songqiao, her biological mother is Suzhen but she ended up being raised by Wenyu. She is the half-sister of Yuchen fighting to reclaim her birthright.

Ping Hui plays Sun Jie, a security manager who is best friends with Zhou Zhida (Li Nanxing) and love interest of Songqiao. Cunning and arrogant, he takes the law into his own hands and believes he is superior to all human beings, and even finds Song Qiao's upright ways unrealistic. His character goes through a drastic change when he loses his ability to steal after the right side of his body is handicapped.

Felicia plays Sun Min, the younger sister of Sun Jie who has a passion for gambling, and inspires to be the Goodess of Gamblers. She dresses herself up as a boy in order to work at the coffee shop just to get near Zhida (whom she believes to be Zhang Feng), and is determined to help him regain his lost memory. In a sad twist of fate, Sun Min is later violated by Ye Ren De, who causes her to lose her sanity. Fortunately, Song Qing does not give up on her and stands firmly by her.

Zhenhuan plays Fang Songqing, the younger son of Wenyu and actual brother of Yuchen He is a kind-hearted pastry chef who has no lack of suitors, but has eyes only for his cake creations. He has feelings for his close friend Sun Min, and is willing to stand by her even though she treats him like a punching bag.

Elvin plays Ye Renyi, second son of Fang Songnian and Suzhen. He and Renxiao (played by Benedict Goh) are the biological brothers of Songqiao. This marks Elvin's first true villanous role, a cunning and manipulative fiend in contrast to the good-willed and earnest Renxiao.

Terence Cao
plays He Chao Qun, love rival with Sun Jie competing for the affections of Songqiao.

Chen Sucheng plays Ye Songnian, patraich of the Ye family. He is the father of Yuchen, Songqiao, Renxiao, Renyi and Rende. His first wife Mei'E and eldest son Ye Ren Zhong died sometime before the timeline of the series.

Huifang plays Zheng Wenyu, a tragic woman who got raped by Songnian and bore her own child Yu Chen; her father was killed by Songnian soon after her rape. It was she who purposely let the Ye family raise her own daughter Yuchen, while she raised their daughter Songqiao. She and Fang Weiguo have a younger son Songqing. She only revealed the truth to Yuchen and Songqiao many years later.

Meijiao plays Shen Suzhen, second wife of Songnian and mother of Renxiao, Renyi and Songqiao. She is completely unaware that her biological daughter Songqiao was swapped with Yuchen.

Constance plays Jiang Ruolin, godsister-turned-3rd wife of Songnian and mother of Rende.

Cynthia plays Chen Xiaobao, wife of Zhou Zhida who is believed to be Zhang Feng, love interest of Yuchen.

Jerry plays Ye Rende, only son of Ruolin and the youngest child of Songnian. Extremely spoilt and rebellious to the core, he is often at loggerheads with his half-brothers Renxiao and Renyi.

The cast members turned around to face the camera while all the fans creamed along with them "Qing shou kan Suan Zi Xing!!". About 400 fans then started forming a queue behind the tent, stretching all the way to the detour in front of 7-Eleven. We all got up on stage to shake hands with the cast members... Jerry, Elvin and Felicia obviously knew me, I think Ping Hui did too. I did say "congrats" to Fann, who had been officially wed to Chris Lee a week prior. Naomi, Ice and myself then headed down to Radiogate. where we saw a few other fans already waiting down there. :-)

The crew returned at around 1730 hrs. Constance, Terence and Sucheng drove off without stopping. Fann did stop for a short while, but only a handful of fans approached her car; she was gone in less than 30 seconds.

But the next 3 individuals who drove out of RG soon after were willing to park their cars by the side and interact with the fans.

Finally got to take picture with Jerry. That means I had taken picture with ALL 6 of the Star Search 2007 grand finalists (including Celia Pan prior to the finals). :-)

Felicia surrounded by lots of fans. Yep haha, I actually took this opportunity to 'tou pai' a few of tha fans... :-p

Me with Felicia... 25th time taken picture with her I believe.

Me with Elvin. Obviously I will see him again at Plaza Sing in a week's time.

Elvin signing on an Elvinology poster. Hehe, some fans actually mistook Elvin's cousin (who was waiting to fetch him) for Terence Cao!! Upon realizing that, the poor guy blushed away while the 2 female passengers seated behind him started giggling :-D

Belinda Lee drove out sometime after that... the few of us fans were lucky to have stayed on a little longer, even though something very displeasing happened between the time that Elvin had left and the time that Belinda drove out. More details on that unpleasant experience can be seen in my Facebook note.

Wang Yuqing came out not long after. He showed us a picture of his older son (7 yrs of age) from his PDA. :-)

Aftermath of Star Awards 2009

Knowing that there was a post-party going on right after the ceremony, and that most of the artistes would come out only after 11 pm, I decided to head to the reception to chill out for a while with some fans of Andie Chen. Fearing that I might miss out on something great, I set off to RG, meeting Ice along the way. I noticed that the Elves were quite an innovative bunch, esp when they stood on top of a lorry and waved their posters/LED boards. :-p

Pictures taken at RG between 2300 to 2330 hrs.

2305 hrs- a van drove out and lots of young fans rushed forward... it was Zoe inside. But I chose not to take pic with her, esp when that abomination (with horrid hairstyle) was present among them. I realized that he had mellowed a lot and become rather moody as of late, so I didn't provoke him at all (even if I were close to getting into another berserker rage). No way am I gonna let one single individual ruin my mood whatsoever. At least I don't have any anger management issues for now.

A few minutes later, a white BMW drove out and parked a little further from Radiogate. It was Hanwei, 3-time Best Actor winner! Thank goodness I didn't miss out. I managed to congratulate him, get his signature and take pic with him once more.

Fast forward to 2325 hrs, Yvonne Lim drove out and took pic with her fanclub. It was at around this time that Jeanette drove out to mingle with her fanclub for quite long.

Soon after came Nat Ho, I didnt know he was present for the event too. I certainly hope that he would get into Top 20 next year.

2335 hrs- Joanne drove out, and was immediately greeted with lots of congratulatory handshakes. Obviously very happy for her. :-)

2345 hrs- Felicia drove out, and the fans gave her some cake (dunno what significance, unfortunately).

2355 hrs- Elvin finally arrived, and Jesseca was with him too! Shuai ge and mei nu... Naomi even remarked that Jess looked a bit like Rui En from afar. :-)

0020 hrs- right after Elvin and Jess left, I hailed a taxi and went back home. Lights out at 0045 hrs and got out of bed before 8 am.

P.S. I am quite aware about a certain A hiding her face away upon the arrival of B, reminds me too much of a similar scenario that happened in mid 2007. I may not know anything about the animosity between A and B, but it still saddens me greatly to learn that they are no longer in good terms since last year. Some things in life are beyond our control...

Arghhh... I not too happy with the male artistes list... I realized taht there are quite a lot veteran artistes there (those aged above 45). But I am totally cool with the female artistes list. This is who I think should be included and who should not...

SHOULD be in list: Nat Ho, Shaun Chen, Dasmond Koh
Not in list, but kinda understandable: Edmund Chen (no longer full-timer), Terence Cao, Jeff Wang
SHOULD NOT even be in list at all: Marcus Chin, Henry Thia, Gurmit Singh (sorry)

Now the "real countdown" begins... I have exactly one month to consider whether or not to request for tickets for the live show, even if the voting system may be as screwed up as always...

Tuesday outing part 1: i-weekly event at Chevron House

Happy Birthday to Vincent Kang and Alva
Earlier today, I had trouble logging in to Blogger, and since I put most of the details in the backup blog via Facebook, I will put in more emphasis on the photos rather than elaborate too much on the happenings.

Yesterday I reached Raffles Place at 12.10 pm, quite relieved to learn that the event hadnt started yet. But I was surprised by the long queue to the i-weekly magazine counter. Event was hosted by DJ Cruz Teng.

At 12.30 pm, Aileen and Andie Chen came out to promote their respective shows, "Red Thread" and "Fighting Spiders". Aileen finally waved to me and acknowledged my presence, yippee!! :-)

At 1 pm, Huajing, Lee Teng and Elvin came out to promote different programmes. Huajing doesn't look so nice anymore with her hair cut short like mushroom, but she still got very happening figure, esp with those legs. Lee Teng was probably blushing since he was standing next to Huajing, whereas Elvin looked as shuai as ever. :-)

Event ended at 1.30 pm, with the queue getting lesser. I went down to basement to have lunch, then took train out of Raffles Place to Ang Mo Kio. To be continued in Part 2...
