Pure luck for Actors' Session at Marina Square

I can't believe my luck lor... had I not gone to Marina Square earlier on, I could have missed on something great!! Other than Gurmit interviewing Adrian Pang and Aileen Tan, there were 2 more artistes being interviewed... Julian Hee and Tracy Tan!! :-D

At the time when I reached the place, 987 FM deejays Daniel Ong and Young were interviewing the top 3 SingTel Grid Gals, all fine-looking and very happening I saw them before on TV obviously. I like the girl in the middle the best, her name is Casey and she looked very cute.

Then at 7 pm sharp came Actors' session, hosted by the funnyman Gurmit. The guests for the session were from the upcoming Channel 5 drama "Red Thread"... Adrian, Aileen, Julian and Tracy. Tracy waved to me upon noticing me... so cute xiah. :-)

After the talk session ended, me and Terence got to take picture with Tracy, Julian and Gurmit.

Couldnt catch up with Aileen cos she was escorted rather quickly, but that's ok. I know I will still see her again at the same place in 2 days time...

And to kick off the show with a BANG, we have the first of 5 specials... and what better way than to kick off with the Popstar Charity Special, starting off with 3 of the best-known Singapore Idol alumni... SI season 1 winner Taufik Batisah, SI season 2 finalist Jonathan Leong, and SI season 2-cum-Asian Idol Hady Mirza! You certainly can't miss out on this! ;-)

"Don't Forget The Lyrics" Popstar Special Recording

Happy Birthday to Elena

Yesterday was totally INSANE!! Not only were the Jonatics present for the final recording of "Don't Forget The Lyrics", but also the fanclubs for 2 more Singapore Idols (hint: TB and HM). There were also abt teachers and kids (abt 50 in total) from the Chasworth International School or something like that. I believe the total number of people present for the recording was about 100 or slightly more.

I reached good ol' MediaCorp at 6 pm, and more fans started coming at from 6.30 pm. Lo and behold, New Yi Qing arrived, escorting us to Studio 1. I shan't dwell too much into detail... the recording started at abt 8 pm and lasted for abt 3 hrs, the setting for DFTL looked smaller than I had anticipated (see rough diagram), and there was some 'major revamp thing' in the middle of the studio sets. The musicians who performed throughout the 3 hrs were an awesome bunch... I kinda like the female backup singer named Huimin, she looks really cute (and looks a bit like Jade Seah). Gurmit was indeed a really funny and quirky host, and it was truly an Idol Reunion of sorts among Gurms, Jonathan and the other 2 guys. If you wanna find out who, do catch "Don't Forget The Lyrics" on 27th November to find out ;-)

As we were heading out of the studio at 11.20 pm, I went on to take picture with Yi Qing :-) Then I managed to catch the last of Bus 165 and 854 to head back home... no need to take taxi, muahaha! ;-p

Ok lah, no need to guess the names of the other 2 guys already... do refer to the labels at the bottom of this post. ;-)

Be Savvy With Your $ seminar

Happy Birthday to Usher, Stacy Keibler and Edmund Twohill

My sincere apologies that this entry took rather long to be published... I had been overwhelmed with so much joy in regards to ytd's gathering, I simply lost some 'motivation' to type out my thoughts on the seminar; basicaly I had used up most of my energy during the gathering (in a good way that is). And as always, I have to choose the best pics to upload for this entry. But anyway, here goes...

Last Saturday, I left the house rather early to have lunch at Raffles City, then I went up to register for the seminar. I never thought I was among the first few in the queue... and I wasnt too pleased that the seminar would start at 2 pm (thank goodness I had eaten lunch prior to registering). Still, I was amazed by how huge the Stamford Ballroom was... and there were still some empty seats in the place. Everyone got a goody bag with a laptop cover, 2 notebooks, a folder containing print-outs for the seminar and a mousepad-cum-calculator.

The hosts for the event were Gurmit and Michelle Chong. Hey, it's the one-time reunion of Roy Terse and Adrianna Wow!! :-D

First part was the welcoming address by Mr Heng Swee Keat, Managing Director of Monetary Authority Singapore (MAS). Next was the Opening message by Mr Lim Swee Say, Secretary-General of NTUC. 4 personnel went forth to turn on the 'gigantic cellphone' and activate the Internet function to mark the offical start of the seminar.

Followed by a talk on "Being Savvy with Finances" by Mr Shannon Wong, Moneysense Speaker, CFP Certified Planner, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), FCCA.

Refreshment time from 3.15 to 4 pm... machiam long queue!! I only ate a bit, having eaten proper lunch prior to registartion. I was surprised to see Khai (assistant director of "Calefare") there... and even more surprised to see him with short hair!! I have to admit that it was kinda easy to recognize him, given his lanky frame and sexy lips... :-p

Next topic was on "Being Savvy with CPF Savings" by Ms Fiona Chan, Deputy Director (Membership Education Department) of the CPF Board.

Forum talk involving Mr Shannon Wong, Miss Fiona Chan, Mdm Halimah, 2 more guys whose names I forgot, Edmund Chen and Huang Biren. I totally forgot what they were saying, simply cos I was busy snapping pics away. But I do remember a bit on Gurms, Edmund and Biren relating on how they saved their money during the times prior to joining showbiz.

After the event ended at 5.25 pm, the fans went forward to get autographs from Edmund and Biren, as well as take picture with them.

Upon leaving the Swissotel region, I went to buy takeaways for Tris and myself, headed back home and had a well-deserved rest. I ended the night by watching some Iron Man extras. :-)
