I can't think of what to type today. I just started work at a place where I can't reveal as of yet (somewhere in the city region). I have to learn quite a lot of stuff I have never learnt in ITE life... databases for stuff like business, finance, and even Michael Porter's Five Forces (whatever that means). Fortunately, ny first day is quite slack, so no pressue as of yet. I work from Monday to Friday, 9 to 6. Regarding my own work, I'm gonna remain as low-profile as I can. No way am i gonna be as abominable or boastful as a certain someone...
CAUTION... this blog may contain some offensive material in some of the posts (but Im not one to judge others whatsoever). Since 2010 this blog is now an archive for upcoming movies or video games. For more current affairs, do check out my Facebook page, thanks.

Rooting for Jon at a variety show
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Todd Grisham, Teck Song and Felicia Sun

Yesterday...
Another day in school... a relaxing time during Audio Post-Production lesson, followed by a rather hectic and brain-racking time during CUS lesson. If I haf to be honest abt one thing, I seriously think that the BUSINESS PLAN ASSIGNMENT TOTALLY SUCKS!!! We're not even Business students, and yet we haf to fill in everything required for the Business Plan scheme. I nearly went bonkers after having wasted a lot of brainpower on such a meaningless assignment. And I'm already thinking of seeting up a barber shop for guys wif unacceptable hairstyles. I shan't mention any names here...
I got back home right after CUS lesson, taking a short rest at home before setting off to AMK for a quick dinner. Then took bus to Mediacorp... man I tell u, there was heavy traffic along Lornie Road!! But still ok, I managed to reach Mediacorp after 10 mins of 'agonising', and get ticket for the NTUC show from Eveline... I couldn't help but blush a little when I saw Daphne (who seems to be looking prettier these days). There was also another mei nu (wif long wavy hair), but forgot her name. Throughout the show, Jonathan sang two songs, the first ("Yi Lu Shang You Ni") at the start of the show, and the second one ("Xiang Xing") somewhere at the half-way mark. Throughout the show, some of us were covering our faces with the Xi Ji Qing Qian 25 posters, myself included (heh). The rest of the show comprised of various games... the last one being the most interesting, some kind of board game which guest starred Lloyd the male winner from "Hey Gorgeous". Somehow Chor Meng didnt really seem like himself, due to obvious reasons. I hope he doesnt go bonkers like his character Kaida in "The Golden Path".
Right after the show, we headed to Radiogate to wait for Jon! At first we thought that he had left already, but nevertheless continued to wait at the shelter. Jon finally drove out at 2210 hrs in his red van. Turns out that he was involved in a rather long meeting... we were all super delighted when he came out of his van to take pic wif us, and yep here's the pic I took wif Mr 'zui chun hen xing gan'. :-)
After that, all of the Jonatics went off with big smiles on our faces. It was only when I changed bus from Hougang Ave 5... that a heavy downpour came crashing down!!
Talk about strange luck... I managed to reach home without getting soaked at all. Well, maybe a little... I think God above may have understood the pain in most people's hearts after the loss of MC King... hence the heavy downpour.

Olinda and Jonathan at Popular BookFest
Continued from last post...
Me and Karen decided to take a bus to Suntec at around 1715 hrs. We reached the Convention Hall, watching Olinda sing "Karma Chameleon" (I missed out on the first song, but I think it's "Aint Nobody"). She then had an autograph session for fans who had bought her debut album "Rewind". Response was quite good, but I couldnt see any of her fans in the place. the emcees were Nick Shen Weijun and someone I dont really know.
Then at 6 pm, JONATHAN GOT ON STAGE!!! The way he spoke to the hosts in Chinese was quite funny, but got some improvement. First song he sang was "Qing Qian 25". After that, he sang Chen Hanwei's song "Xiang Xing". But before the second song, there was some quiz for fans to answer. There were 4 questions, and i answered the second one. First one was answered by Kaileng, third by a teenage gal, and last one by a very young gal!! This was how the conversation went after i got on stage... my Chinese still CMI btw. For those who cant speak or read Chinese, I haf provided translations for better understanding. :-)
Nick: Hi, ni jiao se me ming zhi? (Hi there, what's your name?)
Me: Wo jiao Tanat. (my name is Tanat)
Nick: Tanat? Shi bu shi t-u-n-n-e-l?
Me: Bu shi, shi...(no, it's spelt like this)
Jon + me: T-A-N-A-T
Me (surprised): wah, ni hai ji de? xie xie! (wow, you know how to spell my name? Thanks!)
Nick: Ni shi Jonathan de fan ma? (are u a fan of Jonathan?)

Me: Ying wei ta hen shuai! (Bcos he is very handsome!)
Jon (smiling): Xie xie! (Thank you!!)
Nick: Hao you ne? (anything else?)
Me: Ta chang ge hen bang. (his singing is superb.)
Nick: Rang hou ne? (and then?)
Me: Wo jue de ta de zui chun hen xing gan (I think his lips are sexy)
Other emcee: Se me? Zai suo yi ci. (what? Pls say it again)
Me (tongue in cheek): Ta de zui chun hen xing gan (He got sexy lips)
Nick: Ni shi bu shi yao KISS ta? (is it you want to kiss him?)
Me: ah, bu yao!! Wo shi STRAIGHT de. (ah, no no no no!! I am straight.)
Other emcee: Ha ha ha, kai wan xiao er yi. (haha, just kidding only)
Nick: Ni yao gen Jonathan liu chang tou fa ma? (Do u want to grow your hair long like Jonathan?)
Me: Errr... bu yong la. Wo bi jiao xi huan duan tou fa. (er no thanks. I prefer my hair to be short as it is)
Jon: Wo jue de ru guo ta you chang tou fa, ta hui hen hao kan de (I feel that if Tanat were to keep his hair long, he would look really good)
Me: zhen de ah? Xie xie (U really think so? Thanks!)
Nick: ok ok, wo yao wen ni... Jonathan de chong wen ming zhi si se me? (ok ok, let me ask you... what is Jonathan's Chinese name?)
Me: Liang Wei Kuang.
Nick: Ni ken ding ma? (U sure or not?)
Me: Ken ding! (confirm!)
Nick: Zai lai yi ci. (say it again)
Me: Liang Wei Kuang.
Nick: Kuang!
Me: Kuang!
Nick: Kuang!
Me: Kuang!
Jon: hao la, gei ta na ge poster la, ta da dui le (aiyah, give him the poster already, he answered correctly)
Of course I went up on stage to get the Qing Qian 25 album autographed, and i took pic wif Jon for the third time (but the person got poor timing). The queue for this one was much longer than the one for Olinda. Then Jon was escorted out of the place very very fast, much like last time.
For dinner, the 12 of us went for dinner at Marina Square, eating Thai food. But before that, I was surprised to see three very familiar faces performing at the 2nd level...

CATSINECRADLE??? :-O
And even more shocking... we found out that Jon will be involved in a New year's Countdown party at Punggol East, and it involves the Asian Idol Hady, as well as... RUI EN??? @_@ Im still gonna give it a miss...
Stay tuned to the next entry for pictures at the Popular Bookfest ;-)

Crazy weekend part 2: Courts Megastore 1st Anniversary
Continued from part 1... me and Ishardi took a taxi to Tampines North Drive 2, where Courts Megastore was located. Once there, I saw a few Rui En fans, including pouty-lipped Steph whom I hadnt seen for some time. I still think she got a crush on Mr Leong (much like Rachel Lin who was present as well). I also saw Seth and Anthony from the HapyHady club.

The event started at exactly 1830 hrs... the emcee being Hype Records singer-actor Cavin Soh (last seen as a schizophrenic in "Metamorphosis").
First artiste to peform was Vasantham Star 2007 winner Ebi Shankara. That's really his name, as in Ebi Rice Burger. He sang a Tamil song and an upbeat English song. He looks a bit like someone though...
Next to come out was... JONATHAN!!! He damn shuai lor... he sang "Qing Qian 25", a Jacky Cheung song (drats forgot the song title) and a 'remashed-n-remixed' version of Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time". He's the only artiste to sing 3 songs, all the others sang 2. Here in the photos wif Cavin, he's telling the former Dreamz FM member to 'better buy his album' when it comes out. Haha, just kidding! :-p
3rd artiste was Olinda Cho. She still so chubby, but at least she still looks healthy. She sang Chaka Khan's "Aint Nobody" and a remashed-n-remixed version of Culture Club's "Karma Chameleon"... a rather sad rendition without the upbeat tones.
4th artiste was the Singapore Idol season 2 winner, Hady Mirza! Come 15th and 16th December, he would be performing wif 5 other Idol winners from all over Asia to compete for the title of "Asian Idol". He sang "Merpati" and "You Give Me Wings"... he was very sweet, he actually wished one of the HapyHadys (a gal named Siti) "Happy Birthday".
The moment Cavin said, "Before the next handsome guy, must come a pretty girl", we knew straightaway that the 5th artiste to perform had gotta be RUI EN!!! I tell u, we all screamed like mad when the pretty and adorable Rui En came out to sing "Jie Dong" (theme song for "Love @ 0 Degrees C") and "Kuai Le Fang Shi" (theme song for "Beautiful Connection"). I even waved the posters in the air as I snapped pictures of her... but I felt a bit guilty cos I realised that I took more pics of Fel (whom I last saw earlier) than of Rui En (whom I had not seen for 6 mths).
Last artiste to perform was the very first Singapore Idol winner, Taufik Batisah! I didnt take frontal shots of him cos I was waiting outside the tent located backstage wif the Rui En fans. I can't even remember the names of the songs he sang. And please, don't ever ask abt that certified Mr Sim, he's a certified has-been already. Let's just say Olinda is the runner-up for the 1st season of SI.
The few fans (50 I think) who had bought $30 worth of items from Courts got to go into the tent to take pictures wif the artistes as well as get autographs from them. Rui En came out at abt 2030 hrs, and I had managed to pass to her the letter I wrote to her... mission accomplished!! Soon after, Jonathan was escorted into the same van very quickly (less than 5 seconds I think). As the van drove off, I cheekily shouted out, "Rui En, Jonathan loves you!!" I never thought that both of my faves would end up taking the same van back to Hype :-p
Next to go was Taufik and Hady... Olinda and Ebi took the last bus back. I went to Ikea to haf dinner wif Carol, Valerie, Elle and the mum-n-daughter pair (so sorry, forgot their names). Man I tell u, the restaurant was HUGE, but what surprised me even more was the HUGE furniture section at the 2nd level!! We took a shuttle bus back to Bedok Interchange, and then took separate buses back.
I reached home at 2330 hrs... feeling happy abt the event that had just ended, and excited for the flea market the next day!
