Phantom of The Esplanade!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JASON TAN AND GOLDUST
19 more days...!!

Yesterday was my very first time inside the domes of the Esplanade... what can I say, the theatres are truly MAGNIFICENT. And what better way than to watch the musical I haf waited so long (13 years in fact) to watch... THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA!! Indeed it helped that I had watched the film version of the muscial (by Andrew Lloyd Webber) on Channel 5 just weeks prior to get a sneak peek on how the musical would go.

Everything was five-star quality... the high octave range, the acting, the feelings of romance and fear, the costumes, the chereography, the setting. Nobody in the theater had the slightest idea that the Phantom was hiding within the central angel structure that floated in midair when Christine and Roul sang "All I Ask Of You". And the chandelier falling into the middle of the stage to mark the intermission really gripped into our hearts. Breathtaking to say the least.
By the end of the show, there was thunderous applause for the entire cast... and huge standing ovations for the wonderful actors who played Raoul (drats, forgot the guy's name), Christine (Rebecca Pitcher) and the Phantom himself (Brad Little). Not forgetting the music conductor and the orchestra located at the basement :-)

On a sidenote, I took pleasure in acting cutesy plus pouty as 6 slim bimbos (in different colored dresses) walked past me. That should at least help 'give a boost' to my ever-growing Venom power... while I wait for the 'right time to strike'.

Here are a few pics I took of the theater during the 20-minute intermission... altho I know that photography isnt even allowed inside (but hey at least I refrained from photography during the show right?)

TOO HOT TO HANDLE!!! Venom power rising...!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MANDY MOORE, HALEY JOEL OSMENT AND ADRIENNE

Last night, I couldnt sleep well at all... I saw who's on the cover of a weekly Chinese magazine, and I was very close to turning into a MONSTER. My tongue went really long, claws grow out of my fingertips, my skin was starting to turn dark blue, and my mind was about to be consumed by this black goo around my body. Yes, I was also drooling, my eyes popped out, my nose was close to bursting, and my whole body went WEAK. At one point, the alien parasite choked up my lungs, and I started breathing very heavily like a famous Sith Lord. I haf to do something to overcome these thoughts of lust, or I might destroy the ones I love dearly. Especially the sweet and beautiful girl featured on the cover of that magazine.
And Im damn pissed to know that I haf to work very early today (some old frail lady fell sick at the very last minute)... THAT DOES IT!! I am really going to quit next month, and Im freaking serious about it!! >:-(

I dedicate this song to Miss F, Miss J and Miss S

HEY WHATEVER- WESTLIFE

Well I can't control the universe cause I'm only a man
And I've been reading the papers
But they won't tell me who I am
If you really need a new philosophy
Well there's one that makes sense
The one I profess but I say

Chorus:
Hey whatever
Let your beauty come alive
Let your colour fill the sky
And say hey, whatever...
Why don't you liberate your mind
Let your colour fill the sky

All the world's a waiting room
And we're standing in line
For the answers to the question "What makes this fine?"
Oh, don't let them change your story
Don't let them change your song
Don't let the gurus and philosophers lead you on
Ahhhhhh...

Chorus
Hey whatever
Let your beauty come alive
Let your colour fill the sky
And say whatever
Why don't you liberate your mind
Let your colour fill the sky

Wooo! It's like taking a seat at the roulette table
Just spinning the wheel
Good or bad just take what comes
Don't change how you feel
You're a champion of science
Or are y'just some freak show's fool?
What can not be proved, no no
Can still be true, and I say

Chorus x 2
Hey whatever (no no baby)
Let your beauty come alive
Let your colour fill the sky
And say hey, whatever
Why don't you liberate your mind (liberate your mind)
Let your colour fill the sky

Ahhhhhhhh... heeey whatever

Random talk on SK, SM 3 spoilers and more 'rage'

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ROMEO, KARENN AND STEPH
21 more days...!

Insane stuff going on... yes, another customer had gotten me hopping mad wif a very huge insane order yesterday... I was so pissed I ripped off part of a ball-point pen and cut my thumb in my brief moment of fury. And i had to endure the rest of the day with a bandage over my sore thumb, lest the blood continues to flow. Well, at least I got to show a bit of my Venom rage to a balding male customer by behaving very aggressively (I swore he ordered TWO drinks, when he claimed he had ordered only ONE!! DON'T LIE TO ME). And upon seeing that jabroni looking really scared soon after, that definitely made me feel a lot better (and I guess I will haf to resign come mid May).
Earlier on, I enjoyed a two-hour break between 2 to 4 pm by going to Ngee Ann City Kinokuniya to read some books... one of them being the novelization of Spider-Man 3... now I know roughly how the story goes (and no, I won't be providing any spoilers regarding Harry Osborn, Flint Marko or Eddie Brock). On the way back to Shaw House, I decided to go ahead and buy a 3-pack set of Spider-Man cars... modelled for Spider-Man, Symbiote Spidey and Venom.
Jeff arrived upon recovery from high fever at around 9 pm, and dismissed me for late dinner (as promised by Iskandar earlier). At least I don't need to starve all the way til 10 (seeing that there were very few customers on a Sunday night).
I will talk about another thing... oh yes, I had absolutely no idea that there was an SK event at Vivo City on Sat afternoon, when my main objective was to buy a Masked Rider figure at Toys R Us... Stefanie Sun arrived at around 3 pm, and it sure was crowded... wif a lot of Yanzi fans at the ground floor and second floor. The only other celeb I could spot among the overwhelming crowd was Jean Danker (emcee for the event, equally stick-thin like Yanzi). That all happened before I rushed to work on Sat... if this is any indication to what's in store on May 1st, then I guess I'd better reach Vivo City earlier... before the gala premiere of the long-awaited film on everyone's favorite web-slinger officially begins...

Gal you got what you deserved

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO CASSIE AND DUNCAN JAMES
22 more days...

Now i finally see your true colors, Miss GN... altho u may seem 'sweet, nice and pretty' on TV, the same cannot be said abt you off-screen. Miss B and Mr K were right abt u all along: you are indeed no different from a few of my classmates who don't take their studies seriously...
Procrastinate most of the time? No surprise here.
Skip lessons very often? I've heard that many times.
Fail to hand in projects and assignments on time? Very common flaw.
Do very poorly in exams? That's your problem.

No wonder you got kicked out from your school. Your bright future ruined, thanks not to your crappy attitude and horrendous conduct. Good thing I'm not your biggest supporter in first place. Good luck in whatever you so after your ultimate dismissal. So now I dedicate a song to you... wonder how your folks are going to react when they hear abt it.

WHAT GOES AROUND (COMES AROUND)- Justin Timberlake

Hey girl, is he everything you wanted in a man?
You know I gave you the world
You had me in the palm of your hand
So why your love went away
I just can't seem to understand
Thought it was me and you babe
Me and you until the end, but I guess I was wrong

Don't want to think about it
Don't want to talk about it
I'm just so sick about it
Can't believe it's ending this way
Just so confused about it
Feeling the blues about it
I just can't do without ya
Tell me is this fair?

Is this the way it's really going down?
Is this how we say goodbye?
Should've known better when you came around
That you were gonna make me cry
It's breaking my heart to watch you run around
'Cause I know that you're living a lie
That's okay baby 'cause in time you will find...

What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around

Now girl, I remember everything that you claimed
You said that you were moving on now
And maybe I should do the same (maybe I should do the same)
Funny thing about that isI was ready to give you my name
Thought it was me and you, babe
And now, it's all just a shame, and I guess I was wrong

Don't want to think about it
Don't want to talk about it
I'm just so sick about it
Can't believe it's ending this way
Just so confused about it
Feeling the blues about it
I just can't do without ya
Can you tell me is this fair?

Is this the way it's really going down? Is this how we say goodbye?
Should've known better when you came around
(should've known better that you were gonna make me cry)
That you were going to make me cry
Now it's breaking my heart to watch you run around
'Cause I know that you're living a lie
That's okay baby 'cause in time you will find

What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around

What goes around comes around (yeah)
What goes around comes around (You should know that)
What goes around comes around (yeah)
What goes around comes around (you should know that)

Don't want to think about it (no)
Don't want to talk about it
I'm just so sick about it
Can't believe it's ending this way
Just so confused about it
Feeling the blues about it (yeah)
I just can't do without ya
Tell me is this fair?

Is this the way it's really going down? Is this how we say goodbye?
Should've known better when you came around
(should've known better that you were gonna make me cry)
That you were going to make me cry
Now it's breaking my heart to watch you run around
'Cause I know that you're living a lie
That's okay baby 'cause in time you will find

What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around

[Comes Around interlude:]
Yo, yo... let me paint this picture for you, baby
You spend your nights alone, and he never comes home
And every time you call him, all you get's a busy tone
I heard you found out, that he's doing to you
What you did to me ain't that the way it goes
When you cheated girl, my heart bleeded girl
So it goes without saying that you left me feeling hurt
Just a classic case, a scenario
Tale as old as time, girl you got what you deserved
And now you want somebody to cure the lonely nights
You wish you had somebody that could come and make it right

But girl I ain't somebody with a lot of sympathy
You'll see, see, see (What goes around comes back around)
I thought I told ya, hey (What goes around comes back around)
I thought I told ya, hey (What goes around comes back around)
I thought I told ya, hey (What goes around comes back around)
I thought I told ya, hey [laughs]

See? You should've listened to me, baby
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Because (What goes around comes back around) [laughs]

New template, new viewpoint on inner conflicts

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MD NOH AND AMANDA
23 more days...

I just changed the template of my blog... just in case you didn't notice.

The sacrifices we make in life... skipping friends' birthday parties due to work commitments and other stuff... I still wonder if it's worth it. I had to miss TWO parties due to night work (even while Im still contemplating on quitting sometime in June). Countless of apologies to Md Noh and Joshua for not being able to make it for both parties :-(

But the main thing is, I'm more concerned abt a friend's well-being... he nearly sucuumbed to his darker emotions when he pushed his 'obsession' to limits never thought possible (well, it happened to someone else, and this guy's much younger than the both of us). And now he's attempting to make up for his mistakes and avoiding anything that may re-trigger his dark psyche. I understand his situation because I myself had been through it before. To me, getting too emotionally attached to a certain fave celebrity (mostly female) is somewhat like a parasite... you have to learn to control your inner self and resist the parasite before it takes full control of you. It becomes a struggle between the feeling of power and the lust for those kinds of (negative) emotions versus the good, selfless and moral side of oneself. Negative emotions like pride, lust, greed, fear, anger, hate, aggression, arrogance... and suffering. Think Anakin Skywalker renouncing his humanity in a desperate attempt to save the ones he loved, but ending up as a slave to the dark side and doing the Emperor's biddings as Darth Vader. It's like a never-ending battle between the light side (God) and the dark side (Satan).

And the same theme on the battle between good and evil is depicted in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 film... Peter Parker has to fight his way out of the alien suit before it transforms him into something ugly. I see myself no different from Peter or Anakin... while it's natural to get angry over something or show concern over a dear friend, I realize the importance of letting my anger go, forgetting the past, learn from life's mistakes and moving on to better things in life. And also to not be too obsessed over certain people, as well as give up some dreams (no matter how much pain it may cause at times). But most important, I have learnt to love myself and love everyone around me, just like how Jesus showed His love to all of us by giving up His life on the cross so that we may be saved from eternal damnation.

I hope everyone of you enjoyed your Good Friday ytd. May God's grace be with you always.
I wish you well, Mr S... I hope u can get over this trauma soon and let go of your despair. To everyone else out there (Mediacorp fans, schoolmates, old friends and colleagues), I love you all very much. Esp the gal whose birthday is approaching :-)

Dance Floor performance round 4: Modern comtemporary dance

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO AZURA (from SFB) AND JADE SEAH!!
25 more days...

Unfortunately, I had to work at night time due to lack of manpower at work (4 people are quitting this month!!), so I can't attend the recordings... also, it doesn't help that Im going to watch a musical next Wed... very sorry, Haphiz! :-(
But I was totally unprepared for the eventual outcome... Soul Fusion ended up at the Bottom 3 AGAIN, Platinum got their first taste at the bottom... and the group going home is... STYLES FROM BEYOND?!?! :-O And to think that SFB were one of the stronger teams!! Still, a new journey had begun for them... so we bid a sad farewell to the 'SFB Ninjas': Khairul, Amsyar, Zaihar, Haphiz, Hanif and Azura. Haphiz, see u in school in 2 weeks' time!

My thoughts on the Final 7... I am in a bit of loss for words with the elimination of my fave group... now for certain, Im not going for the live recordings anymore :-(

Platinum- The gals are looking cute and HAWT in pyjamas (esp Aishah and Andrea). Lots of flexibility and creativity (lol, that portrait of Bill!!)
Styles From Beyond- ELIMINATED!! :-(
J.D.I.- A bit of a safe performance here, but outstanding nevertheless. Although they show a lot of expression, they need to work on flexibility.
Melvin and Sharon- Their performance lacked oomph and passion, but their efforts were commendable.
E Squared- Surprisingly, they didnt go cutesy, but their take on friendship was quite intense yet amazing. Esther outshone her partner Evelyn in this one. But that's still not going to change my mind abt them.
Vas and Pris- Looking as hot as ever, VnP are like the modern Romeo and Juliet. Vasily looking more handsome each week, now wif some resemblance to Topher "Venom" Grace. Priscilla shone very brightly here. Very powerful performance going to Justin Timberlake's "What Goes Around Comes Around".
Soul Fusion- In spite of bad luck going their way, the foursome still got plenty of fighting spirit, and in terms of technical ability, they are still the TEAM TO BEAT. Not sure what their mascot looked like this time.
Fantastic Four- The quartet had lost a member days prior (Hafeez had to drop out due to NS commitments, when his SISPEC unit refused to grant him leave every Wed night), and indeed their take on modern dance just didn't quite make the cut (they lost a lot fo focus halfway). In great danger of getting the boot next week.

Through the last 3 weeks, it's become too much of a mere coincidence that almost all of the groups (save for Batucadas) that ended up in the Bottom 3 so far are judges' choices. Click on the link to find out more on talent vs the public...

Less than pleasant views on American Idol season 6

Just when you thought that Joakim Gomez's singing in season 2 of Singapore Idol was terrible, there comes another Idol hopeful whose singing is A LOT worse... and that person is 17-year-old Sanjaya Malakar. Long hair, cute smile, scrawny figure, with a very girlish voice that sounds like Wacko Jacko's... I mean come on, how on earth did he manage to get this far in American Idol season 6??? Altho I haf watched only a handful of episodes for this season (Im still pissed by the fact that Chris Daughtry was denied his chance to win AI 5 when he was third last to be eliminated), I can tell that Sanjaya's weak vocals is already starting to irritate people and make them wanna kill him for destroying their eardrums and killing their appetites. And more unbelievable is the fact that this Indian-Italian teenager can survive 3 weeks of Spectaculars based on trillions of votes in a country populated by over 300 million people??? That is like many times more than the votes cast on Joakim and the other finalists of Singapore Idol... what is this world coming to??? I sense another rich expat trick here again... oh wait, there really is one!! In the form of the VTFW (Vote For The Worst) website... I seriously hope that site gets closed down and the onwer of that site locked up for his sheer manipulation...
Whatever the case is, I just pray and hope that Melinda Doolittle survives all the way and goes to the Finals, not some weak-vocalled teen who can give the Malaysian Idol season 2 winner (another fool who has good looks but no singing talent) a run of his money... and I don't know if any of you are aware of this, but the reason why I'm not following the whole of AI 6 is due to Taylor Hicks winning the crown. No offence to Hicks' fans, but while I appreciate his singing talent, he looks much older than his age, and with his big-body build, he is in danger of fading from the spotlight much like Reuben Studdard (a Mark Henry lookalike who's had to deal with health problems and disputes with record companies). Well at least runner-up Katharine McPhee is currently making headlines with her unforgettable appearance at Tyra Banks' talk show...

Yet another unpleasant encounter!

Fucking hell... just when I haf barely gotten over that very frustrating experience with that idiotic Jap customer who hadn't paid for the food he'd ordered before going shopping on Sunday, there must yet come another jabroni... only this time, the experience had left me rather confused and speechless. You see, this female customer in her 30s actually remembered me serving her 2 WEEKS AGO (come on, how can you expect me to remember something that happened soooo long ago?!? It would be ok if it was two days ago, but TWO WEEKS?!?! Dude, u seriously need to get a life!) and saying that I actually forgot to pack large fries the last time she came. COME ON LAH PLEASE... ur coming here just to kick a fuss on that?!? Why the hell won't you even bother to come earlier?!? It's not even my fault for forgetting to pack the fries... in fact, I dont even know if I was doing controller that day!! And yet u must push the blame to ME?!? And thinking abt how u came to our place and wanted to make noise on the 'owed fries', was as if Mos Burger Isetan is the ONLY OUTLET in the whole of Singapore!! Dude (and I do mean DUDE), u failed to realise that u can go to 19 other outlets...!! I dare say that ur one freaking stupid, crazy lady... you dare to sue me??? Well I dare you to come back again and say that I owe you something else, and I'll tell you this, "Oh ma'am, certainly you're not going to remember such small details and come back one year from now and say that I forgot to pack something again??". Whatever the case, I must thank you (idiotic lady) for having such a 'good memory', for helping me learn from my mistakes, and also for doing a very good job in PISSING ME OFF. And I will make sure you never, ever come back again... you know how I'm going to do that? I will first give you a chokeslam, and then i will give you the finishing move used by the wrestler who has an amazing undefeated Wretlemania record, and had won the World Heavyweight Championship last night... that's right, I'm talking about the Undertaker's TOMBSTONE!!!

Speaking abt work, it is indeed quite clear that it is indeed not worth staying at work beyond May... esp since it's been taking up way too much of my freedom at night.

Wrestle Mania 23 results

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ZAIHAR (SFB), LYDIA AND AVRIL

Im not too pleased with the match arrangements on Wrestle Mania 23... I mean, the WWE people put the most important match in the MIDDLE of the PPV instead of making it the second last or very last match on the card!! What are they driving to?!? >:-(
Warning to those reading this entry... if you dont want to read the results on Wrestle Mania 23, then I strongly urge you to go to another website!!

Money In The Bank- Edge vs Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton vs CM Punk vs Mr Kennedy vs Matt Hardy vs Finlay vs King Booker
The birthday boy Randy Orton didnt win (DAMN!!), and neither did the former MITB winner Edge. A Smackdown wrestler did (one who is full of pride and has a VERY LOUD VOICE).

Kane vs The Great Khali
The giant who can't speak good English, appeared in "The Longest Yard", and holds a better winning streak than anyone else, won this one. No surprise here.

United States Championship match- Chris Benoit vs MVP
Not even a promising newcomer dressed up like a Power Ranger can escape the deadly clutches of the Rabid Wolverine, who was clearly the more experienced of the two.

World Heavyweight Championship Match- Batista vs The Undertaker
Oh for the love of God, why put the most important match in the middle of the PPV?!?! This horrendous match arrangement just kills the anticipation of the PPV, and with that, Im not going to reveal the outcome (then again, it's quite obvious, isn't it? The one with the undefeated streak will still prevail in the end)

ECW Originals (Sandman, Tommy dreamer, Rob Van Dam and Sabu) vs The New Breed (Elijah Burke, Kevin Thorn, Marcus Cor Von and Matt Striker)
The team consisting of a action film star lookalike, a Singapore cane-swinging hardcore wrestling veteran, a madman named after a Spider-Man villain (who also swings a Singapore cane), and a genocidal-homicidal-suicidal highflyer from Arabia wins this one. Need i say more?

Battle of the Billionaires- ECW Champion Bobby Lashley (representing Donald Trump) vs Intercontinental Champion Umaga w/ Armando Alejandro Estrada (representing Vincent K McMahon)... special guest referee is Stone Cold Steve Austin
The billionaire whose representative loses the match will get his head shaved BALD.
The bald wrestler (and the more popular of the two) wins this one of course (and it wasnt without controversy), and Vinny Mac does indeed lose his crowning glory. Who would want to see The Donald bald in the next season of The Apprentice anyway? Indeed, the Texas Rattlesnake does raise hell, and gets to stun THREE people!!

WWE Women's Championship, Lumberjill stipulation- Ashley vs Melina
From what we know, the latest Playboy model won't need to jump to RAW or take the title along to Smackdown, esp since it was a no-contest. "Oooooh Im very surprised". Yeah right... the women's division just isn't the same without established ring veterans Trish Stratus and Lita (since they both retired last year). But I have to admit that some of the Divas are indeed improving on their in-ring talents. The same can't quite be said for Ashley and Melina though.

WWE Championship- John Cena vs Shawn Michaels
I really hate the fact that this match had to be the last one, when it's not even as highly anticipated as the World Heavyweight Title match. To make things worse, the two bitter enemies are still World Tag Team Champions as of this posting. Just like years before, Shawn Michaels (wearing the DX colors at Wrestle Mania for the first time in 9 years) bleeds profusely yet again (no, his blood is not green), and Cena's WrestleMania winning streak is still intact with 4 wins to 0 losses. At least this time, there weren't many boos like last year's horrendous showdown between Triple H and Cena. Things could have worked differently if The Game hadn't been taken out of his game (no pun intended) early this year.

Close to unleashing VENOM RAGE

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO WATI AND MELISSA

Thanks not to a bloody-fucking stupid Japanese customer, I actually tore the zipper of my uniform yesterday!! You see, this Jap fella (a tall guy in his 30s) ordered 4 burgers, some fries and family prawns... altogether the cost was 34 dollars. I told him to wait, and what did he do?!? He took the number tag and went off shopping... without even paying first!!! Trying to play an April Fool's trick on me, is it?!?! Obviously I was damn fucking pissed off, for I knew all too well that if he didnt come back, that means I would have to cancel the whole order and risk getting scolded by Iskandar for 'swiping the card' yet again. Eventually, the ass-clown did return half an hour later, and I managed to make him pay for the food. Seriously, i was very close to punching that guy's face, but I knew that if i were to do that, I might get terminated, or worse, thrown into jail... still, I went super-ballistic inside the kitchen, and in a moment of foolishness, TORE the zipper of my uniform!! I was so humilated, I quickly rushed to the office and changed to a new uniform. So much for trying to be like Hulk Hogan. To think that I brought this April Fool's trick upon myself. Still, I could have launched my full Venom fury and given him either a chokeslam or a Pedigree or even an FU outside if I had a choice (but truth be told, I am a person of certain tolerance, and will get real psychotic only when someone tries to get into my nerves). I could have done the same thing to that bloody mutant who kept going around begging for money while covering his eyes (antisocial, messed up freak), but so far he had not made a comeback. And when he does, I'll be ready!!
On the bright side of things, I knocked off early from work (due to lack of customers on a Sunday night) and had earlier bought some minature Ninja Turtles, as well as a PVC Masked Rider Blade figure. Aiming for the other 3 BOARD Rider figures and a few more Spider-Man movie toys to add to my collection... :-)
