I dont think Mr McMahon was in that limo when it exploded on Monday after his Appreication night. Though I would haf to admit that nobody would haf survived such a violent explosion... I was quite surprised by how the WWE Draft went btw. More on that in a slightly later post...

Anyway, heres a rather detailed acount of what happened yesterday...

I finally finished that accursed and mind-draining online portfolio assignment (for the dreadful Web Design lesson) which nearly cost me my sanity for the past 2 weeks!! And yet I had to skip Mr Mansor's lesson by rushing to Bras Basah to print a document (the fictional Maroon 5 'one-night-only' poster) at good ol' Color-Doc for Mr Afiq. After which, it's back to completing the 3D assignment on the Mazda Rx-8 car that I've been doing for the past 3 weeks (with a more relaxed mindset btw; stay tuned for pics). So much for rushing to complete all assignments by the deadline (due to the fact that the school holidays start next week!!). @_@

Ater school ended at 5 pm, I took a bus to PS and waited for Zahirah... once she arrived, we both made our way to Cathay Cineplex... I really very suay, my phone battery went totally flat by the time we reached the place (DAMN!!!). We couldnt see any of the Kinship cast (they had already gone into the Grand Cathay theater by then), but I sure did see the Silver Surfer... man I cant wait to watch the film next week!! The silver dude looks too much like the T-1000 (that's Robert Patrick's breakthrough role to u, Terminator fans and Arnie fans) with his super shiny skintone btw... still, he reeks of pure awesomeness!! B-)

At around 1930 hrs, me and Ira decided to take a train to Bishan (human sandwich mayhem again!!), buy some takeaways from Mc's and take a cab to Mediacorp, where we waited for slightly over an hour... during that time, a cute little kitten (which I last saw a few mths ago when I was waiting for Rui En) came snuggling on my ankles, and I couldnt help but go "aaaawww"... also, I saw TWO Mazda RX-8 cars (one red and one black)... from head to tyre, they were exactly the same mold as the Maya model I had finished in school!! :-O

I was kicking myself in sheer regret (and still am right now) bcos I didnt even get to say hello to Eelyn or Jesseca at RG... no Sean, it's not bocs of u, neither was it bcos of u Grace, it was mostly due to my sheer lack of courage to say hello to either beauty... it also didnt help that I went to the OTHER SIDE of the car (Darren's btw). So I cant really blame Darren for driving off after less than a minute, I just blame myself all the way... so much for my wanting to tease Eelyn by emulating her bimotic role in Lifeline. Even though I know there will still be a next time to see those 2 beauties again, all I can say now is just one word... DAMN!!! :-(

But still, that first-time 'major objective failure' wasnt enough to hinder me from accomplishing my other goal (as well as Ira's) to get autographs/ take picture wif this handsome, popular and hardworking dude pictured below... now that's what I call GREAT SUCCESS!! =p

Info on the Human Torch

Yep, u know I'm gonna talk about the hot hunk of the Fantastic Four here.

The Human Torch (Johnny Storm) is a member of the Fantastic Four. First appearing in Fantastic Four #1 November 1961, he was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby.
Like the rest of the Fantastic Four, the Human Torch gained his powers on a spacecraft bombarded by cosmic rays. He can fly, control fire and safely surround himself in flames. "Flame on!", which the Torch customarily shouts when activating his full-body flame effect, has become his catchphrase.
The youngest of the group, Johnny is brash and thrill-seeking when compared to the more cautious Mr. Fantastic and Invisible Woman, his brother-in-law and sister respectively, and the grumbling Thing.

Powers

Johnny can cover his body in fire, fly at supersonic speeds, project fireballs or other fire objects, manipulate existing flame, and absorb heat with some mental strain. He can generate a nova-level burst of flame, one million degrees Fahrenheit, although this usually exhausts his powers for some time. Under normal usage, he is able to maintain his flame form for up to 17 hours.
The uppermost level of The Human Torch's power is his "Nova Flame," which is usually released omni-directionally and reaches temperatures of 1,000,000 degrees Celsius. Any level lower than this cannot burn him. This effect can occur spontaneously when he absorbs an excessive amount of heat into his body although he can momentarily suppress the release when necessary with considerable effort. The Human Torch can also direct beams of "Nova Heat" as an offensive weapon for very brief periods of time before his heat energy gives out.
The Torch was once limited by the quantity of oxygen in his environment, and has been extinguished by sufficient quantities of water, flame retardant foam, and vacuum environments. He can re-ignite instantly once oxygen is returned, with no ill effects. His protection from fire doesn't seem to apply to hellfire. Based on the distinct speech bubbles that accompany Human Torch whenever he is in his fire mode, his voice apparently changes whenever he is using his powers.

Abilities

An expert mechanic since his teens, Johnny was able to totally overhaul a car's transmission by the age of 15. Johnny also has experience as a professional race car driver and a motorcross racer.

I know today is the birthday of the hottest member (no pun intended) of the Fantastic Four, but for today, I'm going to concentrate on his character's equally hot sister... Susan Storm aka Invisible Woman.

Susan Storm-Richards is a Marvel Comics Super heroine. Under the codename of Invisible Woman, Sue Storm serves as a member of the Fantastic Four. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist/co-writer Jack Kirby, she made her first appearance in Fantastic Four #1 – November 1961. Upon developing her power to project highly durable fields of energy, Sue Storm became the Fantastic Four's most powerful member, which only helped to increase her assertiveness, assuming the team's second-in-command.
Her power and strength is overshadowed only by her caring nature and compassion for others. The emotional backbone of her team, Sue is an important figure in the life of her children; Franklin Richards and Valeria Richards and her husband Reed Richards, as well as her younger brother Johnny Storm and best friends, Ben Grimm and Alicia Masters.

Powers

Sue can render herself wholly or partially invisible at will. She can also render other people or objects invisible, affecting up to forty thousand cubic feet of volume. She achieves these feats by mentally bending all wavelengths of light in the vicinity around herself or the target in question, and she somehow does this without causing any visible distortion effects; she also somehow directs enough undistorted light to her eyes to retain her full range of vision while invisible. Man I think im getting addicted to Maya 7.0... I've been spending most of the time in the PC lab finishing up on the 3-D model of the Mazda RX-8 car (so happened I spotted one at the carpark outside school). And I'm also close to finishing a rather easy music poster for Mr Afiq's lesson, and an extremely exhausting portfolio website for Mr Wesley's lesson. I may not haf won the tickets for the Kinship screening (much to my expectations), but I can still go ahead with my 'backup plans' come this Thursday...

Oh ya, as promised earlier, I decided to upload the pictures I took of the Fantasticar at Bugis Junction, as well as the all-new 8 days magazine (with yet another dose of VENOM!!).

Before I proceed with showing the rest of the pics, I just want u (the readers AND the cover girl of the aforementioned magazine) to know that this is only for fun and not even real (in case u get the wrong idea that I may sound rather 'obsessed' or 'perverse', which I am not). But the part abt me blushing and getting weak after chatting wif sweet gals is totally true. My sincere apologies if you find the next 3 pics somewhat disturbing... rest assured i wont do that again.

Well, yesterday was rather ordinary... I went for service with my family, then we headed to Xin Yang HK cafe to have lunch. After which I went to Bugis Junction to see the all-new Fantasticar (which will be seen in the new Fan-Four 2 movie) and snap a few pics of it (stay tuned for photos in the next post). After spending some time reading certain Sentai collectible magazines at Kinokuniya, I took a bus to Orchard Road, and went to HMV (Heeren) to buy the new Maroon 5 album, and I got a cool Maroon 5 shirt as well! From 3 to 10 pm, it was work as usual... and if I haf to be honest right now, it's a lot easier to work with a few new birds than with a super PBB/MBC/SSS (all the same meaning... highlight the next few lines below for the meaning) colleague who just got transferred to another outlet. Alas, can finally breathe easy now... not that Im being mean on the poor auntie or what, but she really is quite difficult to work with (and other than her strong BO, she is way too disgusting lor).

Man, this song is really too catchy lor... I already haf Maroon 5's first album "Songs About Jane" , and having listened to this song, I'm gonna try listening to the other songs in any CD shop, and then I may consider buying their second album "It Won't Be Soon Before Long". I seriously think that Adam Levine is HAWT!!! This song I dedicate to Miss Frosty-Locks, Miss Liu, Miss Kok, Miss Chin, Miss SY and Borat, not to forget the Maroon 5 fans out there :-)

Next F4 character I want to talk abt is Benjamin "Ben" Jacob Grimm aka THE THING.

The Thing is a fictional character, a founding member of the superhero team The Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics universe. He was created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee in The Fantastic Four #1 (Nov. 1961). His trademark orange rocky appearance, sense of humor, blue eyes, and his famous battle cry, "It's clobberin' time!" makes him one of comics' most recognizable and popular characters.

Powers

The Thing's mutated physiology grants him tremendous superhuman strength and durability, the levels varying with his different forms. There have been periods where Ben could assume human form at will; however, these situations seldom last long. He also has enhanced stamina and lung capacity, and increased resistance to sensory and temperature extremes. His reflexes are above-average by human standards despite his immense mass, and he retains a reasonable level of agility and dexterity.

Abilities

Ben is an exceptionally skilled and experienced pilot, proficient with many varieties of both conventional and exotic aircraft, and was also trained as an astronaut. He is uniquely gifted in the art of hand-to-hand combat (a skill Ben honed long before he became the Thing), though his fighting style tends to be a rather loose brawling technique all his own. In his youth, Ben was a talented football player.

Paraphernalia

Like the rest of the FF, Ben wears highly durable costuming composed of unstable molecules. In a few early outings as the Thing, Ben wore a helmet that concealed his face, but he soon discarded it; he later resumed wearing a helmet when he was recovering from facial scars inflicted by Wolverine, scars which were later healed by Hyperstorm.

Today, I start on the Fantastic Four databanks, and I will start off with the leader of the quartet... Reed Richards aka MR FANTASTIC.

Mister Fantastic (Reed Richards) is a fictional character, a Marvel Comics superhero and member of the Fantastic Four. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby, he first appeared in Fantastic Four #1 (November 1961).

Possessing a mastery of mechanical and electrical engineering, chemistry, all levels of physics, and human and alien biology, Reed Richards is often considered the most intelligent human being in the Marvel Universe. He is the inventor of the spacecraft bombarded by cosmic radiation on its maiden voyage, granting the Fantastic Four their powers. Richards gained the ability to stretch his body into any shape he desires.
He is the leader of the Fantastic Four, although his methodical manner sometimes makes him seem cold and distant to his teammates, particularly best friend the Thing. Im not gonna vent any of my frustrations at a certain classmate who came to school at a SUPER-LATE TIME, or even those few classmates who had been MIA from school for rather long; such things I will take note in my OTHER diary (such irresponsible people don't even deserve any more mention here). Instead, Im gonna focus more on my rather sensitive feelings for two precious people in my life...

To the first person, I pray that all is well with you during your one-week break elsewhere. I also pray that you continue to stay positive all the way even if one of your personal belongings is being damaged/lost. Indeed I am strating to miss you a little, even though my heart is saying otherwise. Looking forward to your return here next week, and even though I may not be free on that day to welcome u back in the airport, I will not forget to say to you these unforgettable words from Chow Yun Fatt... "Welcome (back) to Singapore."

To the second person... the more I know of you, the more I can't seem to stop thinking about you. It's good that we start off as friends, but right now I seem to be reaching the point of time where I can no longer keep my feelings hidden inside. As time passes on, it seems like our fates are about to be intertwined. I may not be a very good talker or a genius, but I will do whatever it takes to win your heart. I hope to muster enough courage to ask you out when the time comes... like the old saying goes, "You'll never know until you try."

My views on Pirates 3...

First things first, I will turn into Venom once more when I upload these few pics on the HOTTEST DOND suitcase girls...!



Now, my thoughts on "Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End", which I had watched last night at Bugis... and you're hearing this from somebody who never really followed the POTC series as much as the Spider-Man series or Star Wars saga.


- It was a little dull at the start cos we dont get to see Captain Jack Sparrow in the first 30 minutes of the show. But when we do, he was dealing with multiple copies of himself in Davy Jones' locker. Captain Jack was still as bizzare as ever when he later moved around the ship in order to turn it upside down so that the crew can get back to the normal dimension when "up is down" and "sunrise comes at the flash of green". Other note-worthy mentions...
- I now understood what was in the locket that Davy Jones held in his hand... a picture of Calypso. Same goes for the locket in Calypso's possession. He and the sea goddess used to be lovers, but he was forced to carve out his heart when he was unable to bear the pain of losing Calypso, prior to teaching the Pirate Lords of the Brethren Court on how to lock her into human form out of scorned love. And just as I had guessed, Davy Jones used to be human (cos if he weren't, then he would have gone by a different name altogether)
- Calpyso, who was finally free from her human bonds halfway through the film, transformed into a giantess and later split into thousands of crabs... she creates a violent maelstrom which becomes the battlefield between the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman. Calypso, being totally neutral, refuses to intervene in the ultimate battle, instead providing both sides an even battle ground to determine the outcome. Calypso wants the pirates to feel her wrath for imprisoning her in human form, and also wants revenge on Davy Jones for betraying her years ago.
- The part where Will and Elizabeth decided to get married during the big fight was kinda interesting, with Captain Barbossa as the 'priest'. What a strange time to hold a wedding! Im glad that both Will and Elizabeth forgave each other of their doubts. And it was also good to see Captain Barbossa as a full-flegded ally to the crew of the Black Pearl.
- No surprise that Sao Feng would be killed some time before the final battle, esp when he isnt really a major player. However, he did have the honour of saying this now immortal line, "Captain Barbossa... welcome to Singapore." And yep, Chow Yun Fatt's English is indeed quite atrocious!!
- Serves Lord Beckett right for choosing the wrong path and allying himself with Davy Jones' crew... he and the representatives of the East India Trading Company certainly got what they deserved when The Endeavor gets totally pummelled by the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman.
- Lastly, Im glad that Captain Jack gave up his dreams of immortality (altho he really wanted to live forever) by selflessly allowing Will Turner stab the heart of Davy Jones in order to attain immortality and become the captain of the ship. The part on Jones' heart placed in a chest was somewhat similar to that of the Demon King Tosakanth from the fabled legend Ramakien...

I would say that the movie overall was not bad... I rate it 7 out of 10, in spite of the numerous question marks it left in my mind for a while. Do catch it while u can (only if your'e a fan of pirates), and u wont be disappointed at all.
