Channel U roadshow at IMM part 1

Happy Birthday to Jonathan Leong and Wenxiang

Had I known that the UATO contestants came onto stage at a much later time, I could have gone for early dinner. But I endured for about 3 hours at the Garden Plaza resion of IMM... taking pictures of nearly every segment before the UATO part. After which I went for dinner at Burger King right after they had left for the parking lot, and then took a super long bus journey back home.

This is how the event went... it was hosted by Jeremy Chan (now with straighter, smoother hair) and Lin Cui Fang (sporting a Posh Spice-like hairdo and wearing the color of Channel U). Dasmond Koh was also present at the place... he is seen snapping pictures of the overwelming crowd with his camera :-)

1700 to 1925 hrs- SuperBand Top 16 performance. I could have gone for dinner anytime, but I stayed behind to take pictures for self-collection. Due to the fact that I don't watch SuperBand, I ain't gonna upload a single picture of the 16 bands' performance here, in order to save time. And there was an auction session halfway through!! Yawn... -_-"

1925 to 1950 hrs- Lee Teng and Vivian Lai get on stage to promote "On The Beat" alongside Jeremy and Cui Fang. Another wasteful auction session came soon after. The guys got their butts whipped (by fly swatters, not canes) for losing a challenge!!

1950 to 2005 hrs- Julian Hee, Thomas Ong, Michelle Chia, Apple Hong and Joey Swee promoting an upcoming drama "Perfect Cut". No prizes for guessing who plays Julian's love interest... (it's a very beautiful girl, not included in roadshow). Meanwhile, Apple was talking about how Thomas got to see her 'sacred paradise' in the show (explicit term). And Mich Chia's hairstyle is getting from bad to worse.

2005 to 2015 hrs- Keely Wee and Shawn Tok sing individually.

2015 to 2030 hrs- Finally... the moment we've been waiting for. The contestants of "U Are The One", as well as Fiona and Adam (2 of 6 hosts for the show). They played some crazy game involving passing the ball, and it resulted in 4 guys geting soaked as part of forfeit. For pictures on the UATO contestants, refer to the next entry. ;-)

Some thoughts before heading off to IMM

Happy Birthday to Morgan Freeman, Liqing and Farenheit

This Saturday's New Paper is ridiculed with tons of unbelievable reports... as if the recent disasters were horrifying enough.

1. In Singapore, a woman claimed that she was allegedly beaten up by her daughter over money disputes, and yet her husband and daughter say that the wounds are self-inflicted. Tsk tsk tsk, I got no comment on this.
2. In Malaysia, a mother of four gave away her newborn son (the 4th one) to a baby-for-sale syndicate (which got busted by the police soon after) for only 84 bucks?!?! This is truly heartbreaking. I know the lady is going broke, but how can she give away her own flesh and blood??? :-(
3. In Hong Kong, a 96-yr-old man got arrested (!!!) for beating up a 54-yr old guy (who tried to take drugs at an old age?!?! Good job!!!).. who happens to be his own son!!! He so old yet so strong... I won't be surprised if he used to be a boxing/martial arts/wrestling champion in his youth. Whatever the case is, that jabroni sure made a new record for being the oldest person to be jailed (last person was 85 yrs old)... 'very good job' you did, Old Yeller!! :-)
4. I know May-December romances are quite common these days (see Celine Dion, TomKat and DouglasZetaJones), but the report on a 16-yr-old female student in Britain falling for a 45-yr old guy (twice divorced, father of 6, grandfather of 2??) sounds very absurd indeed. I got nothing more to say about this.

You can say what you want about me, but by the end of this week, I have made up my mind to leave a certain fanclub for good!! I'll leave you all to guess which fanclub I'm talking about (it's not the first FC I had left btw). That doesn't mean I will stop supporting that artiste by the way. But I seriously prefer the sweeter ones. There are a few valid reasons behind my decision to leave that fanclub...

I recently made use of some discount coupons to buy the Hulk and Abomination action figures... can't wait for "The Incredible Hulk" come June 12th. Stay tuned for biodatas on these two gamma-powered behemoths. :-)

Okay, that's about all i have to say for now. I am setting off to IMM to see Fiona as well as the UATO contestants... stay tuned for updates in the next entry ;-)

10th May, 1730 hrs- I saw 2 black cats on my way back home... one having his dinner, and the other watching nearby. So I went to the 2nd cat, "Is that you Felix? Who's that cat over there? Your twin brother?" And the 2nd cat meowed in agreement... Felix told me that his twin brother Francis (the one munching away) had come to visit him.

10th May, 1915 hrs- this cat is definitely a tomcat. How I know? Cos his balls are sticking out, and i feel like kicking them... whoops!! :-x

12th May, 1400 hrs- Felix looking for some food

12th May, 2200 hrs- look, it's Lorny again! She's feeling quite pissed about the results for "U Are The One"... it's obvious that she dislikes YS.

13th May, 1820 hrs- Bonnie's probably waiting for Clyde or someone else...

13th May, 1850 hrs- this orange cat is heading for the drain, probably trying to catch a mouse.

14th May, 1815 hrs- this cat probably got something stuck in his mouth... or maybe he's thinking of how to solve a Maths problem.

16th May, 1855 hrs- this cat probably trying to reach for his tail using his tongue... :-p

16th May, 1925 hrs- this fella's probably off to buy fish and chips for his family

18th May, 1935 hrs- these two cats making their extremely annoying mating calls at 'that time of the day' (not month)... wait a minute!! it's Visuel and Sphinx... (long pause) RIIIIIIGHT. I never knew they were the horny type.

18th May, 1935 hrs- elsewhere, Bonnie is feeling rather sulky... Clyde is probably late again.

21st May, 1840 hrs- this cat is getting increasingly frustrated over the fact that Mas Selamat is still missing!!

21st May, 1905 hrs- I've never seen this one before... looks like an ocelot.

22nd May, 1805 hrs- hey look, it's Iceberg!! But he ain't too happy that the icebox outside 7-Eleven (his fave place to rest on) is about to be sent for repairs.


26th May, 1705 hrs- the orange cat is probably gonna buy dinner, whereas the cat lying down is looking after the place.

26th May, 1805 hrs- Lorny isn't gonna make any more prediction on which 4 male contestants for "U Are The One" are gonna advance. She knows that YS is confirmed to be one of them...

27th May, 0015 hrs- this cat looked up to me and said, "Hey guess what... today is officially 3 months after that idiot's escape!! Who else but Mas Selamat!!"

27th May, 1830 hrs- Bonnie squints her eyes and says, "Arghhh, don't remind me!! I know what day it is today... the third month since that idiot's escape right??? Everyone knows about it..."

27th May, 1835 hrs- Felix (or is it Francis?) was in a big rush... he's headed for the underneath of the black van in front of him... to do what?? Make love with some randon tabby cat... EEEWWW GROSS!!!

29th May, 1800 hrs- Errr... you know for sure that this cat is definitely female. Cos I caught her licking her... you-know-what.

29th May, 1805 hrs- Iceberg eating the usual cat food at the side pillar.
