Felicia at Bugis Junction (plus a personal message to MKP)

Happy Birthday to Thomas Haden Church, Crystal and Zax Hui
On Saturday, I went to Chinatown for a while, to look through some old toys at China Square Central. After much consideration, I decided to buy 2 WWE toys at a cheaper price (see last paragraph). Then I took a bus to Bugis and reached the place super early, at abt 3.45 pm. I soon realized I wasn't the only early bird (Ice and Delphine had arrived way earlier than me). I felt tempted to watch "The Incredible Hulk" again, but decided not to. Watching this incredible film once is good enough, can always wait for the DVD to be out. :-)
There were some dancing rehearsals between 5 to 5.30 pm, and i immediately recognized one of the dancers to be Kay, one of the members from Platinum. This is due to her distinguishable facial features and star tattoos on her back. I managed to chat with her after the show, yippee!! :-P
Most of the fans had gathered near the stage at about 6.30 pm, fans like Rachel, Li Juan, Jerena, Vincent, etc. And to our horror, the Abominable Mr Kiam Pa did show up for the event. BLOODY FUCKER, KNNBCCB!!! Yes, I was very close to turning into The Hulk almost immediately after I found out about this. Refer to 2nd last paragraph of this entry to read my message to him.
Fel the ambassador for Tweety! brand arrived sometime before 7 pm. I felt like kicking myself for not seizing the chance to take pic wif her at the Tweety Bird shop. I did manage to talk to her for a while, and she said I don't need to get her anything from Thailand.
Then we headed back to stage... we saw a few artistes there. Artistes like Eelyn, Rebecca, Dennis Chew and Pat Mok. Not forgetting Benjamin Heng, though I doubt many people actually recognise him, let alone remember him.
The event started at 8 pm, after a long wait. I took pictures of 6 ang moh models and 2 xiaomeimeis parading on the catwalk in various Tweety Bird attire. Fel ended the fashion launch by coming out in a lovely yellow dress, complete with umbrella (ella, ella, eh eh eh).

We waited outside the stage for Fel to come out, and eventaully swarmed around her outside the Tweety Bird shop. We ended off with a group pic of Fel and fans (including that despciable soul, humph!!). Due to overwhelming crowd and other factors, I couldnt take pic wif Fel, and I felt like kicking myself again right after Fel boarded a taxi-. At least I managed to get her autograph on the Simply Her magazine I had brought along. I forgot to ask her about Mickey (the toy I gave her at Ngee Ann City last month).
But I made up for my blunder quickly by taking pic wif the beautiful Eelyn (also involved in fashion launch) at the Tweety Bird shop. Hurray!! :-D
After which most of us fans (about 14 in all, I think) gathered for supper at TCC, before taking our separate routes back home.

To the Abominable MKP aka Koh Tze Seng... you're damn right that all of us were 'damn shocked' to see YOU. I am typing this in smaller font cos of your low-class status, and also bcos I DON'T respect you at all. Truth be told, I was actually EXPECTING you to show up at Bugis, knowing how 'obsessed and highly motivated' you are towards stars like Felicia or Pat or Yanzi (to name a few). I'd be lying if I said that I 'wasn't angry' the moment I saw you; it took me a while to control my anger, lest I turn green and mean. Your abominable presence is enough to anger me, and I won't wanna throw any punches, for it is of no use to do so (not in a public place). You're right about one thing... nobody (not even myself) can stop you from 'appearing whenever you want'. Let me tell you that all of your online bragging (esp on your 'super loud whistle') will get you NOWHERE in the end. Your arrogance and abominable character will prove to be your downfall. The artistes DON'T need to know about your whistle at all. You are a cerified moron and that's the honest truth. You think people really wanna look at you??? They want to KILL you cos of your super-irritating and detsetable behavior!!! I will NEVER stop leaving you alone, and I take full pleasure in insulting you (as well as putting 'you' against various WWE Superstars in my WWE game). There's NOTHING you can do about it anyway.
And if you ain't down with that, then I got TWO WORDS for ya.. SUCK IT!!! XDDDD

And the 2 WWE figures I bought from China Square Central are... none other than the Chaingang Soldier John Cena and the Animal Batista!!! Top billing Superstars from Raw and Smackdown! :-)

Off to Thailand

Happy Birthday to Aidil, Louis Heng and Azril

By the time any of you read this, I would have already flown off to Thailand. And given the fact that I will be mixing around with a team of missionaries, I will be posting my encounters in a separate blog, in order to prevent the church people from knowing about this rather messed-up blog.

But of course, you know that I'll be back in a few weeks' time. And I will updates this blog at least once a week, so don't worry ya? ;-)

I will miss the U Are the One contestants the most... I will also miss the Mediacorp celebs, the numerous friends from the extended MDC fan family, church friends and relatives.

But the bright side of things is, I will get to celebrate Fathers' Day with my dad the moment I reach Bangkok!! :-) And I need not worry about getting frustrated by Mother's constant nagging... muahaha. :-X

Ok, time to switch channel!! http://tanatrandomarchives.blogspot.com/

My thoughts on The Hulk, and other stuff too

Happy Birthday to Chris Evans, Lester and Germaine Chow

On Thursday...
I went to watch "The Incredible Hulk" with Source at Lido, at the earliest time of 1030 hrs. It helps that the cinema was a really HUGE one. :-)

Stan Lee's cameo at the start of this film is most remarkable, as is Lou Ferrigno's cameo as a security guard. So far Stan and Lou are the only cast members who appear in both the 2003 film and this reboot. I feel that Edward Norton did a better job than Eric Bana as Bruce Banner, the same goes for William Hurt and Liv Tyler as father-and-daughter Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross and Elizabeth "Betty" Ross. Tim Roth also impresses as the sadistic and power-hungry special forces agent Emil Blonsky (the main antagonist here), who volunteers to be transformed into a 'super soldier'. There is also Dr Samuel Sterns, a friend of Bruce who assists in supressing the inner beast within him with some antidote, and later pays a heavy price for duplicating Bruce's blood sample and assisting Blonsky in his mutation. Leonard Samson, Jim Wilson and even Tony Stark aka Iron Man (played by Robert Downey Jr) make special appearances in this film.

The chemistry between Norton and Tyler in this film is much better and stronger than the one shared by Bana and Connelly in the first film. The love story between Betty and Bruce/Hulk parallels that of Beauty and The Beast here. The climactic showdown between Hulk and Abomination is obviously better than The Hulk vs David Banner (aka Absorbing Man) in the first film... it's as intense as a match between Undertaker and Batista, that's how brutal it can be; watch it and you'll agree. ;-)

To sum it all up, the film is many times better and much more promising than the first film directed by Lee Ang, although it tends to get a little slow-paced and dull halfway through. I rate it 7.5 out of 10 marks. Lee Ang must be cowering his face in shame right now...

On Friday...
Went out to change some currency, meet up with a friend, then have dinner at City Hall region with Mother and Wendy, as some sort of 'farewell party'. Then watched last episode of "Honor and Passion" lor.

Today...
I will be going to see some Star Wars-vs-Naruto performance at Chinatown Point first, then head to Bugis to see everyone's fave Mediacorp Princess... Felicia!! Stay tuned for more updates on Tweety Bird fashion launch... ;-)

To Mr Kiam Pa (should I call you by your full name instead?), you can go ahead enjoy your time with Stefanie Sun for all I care, but you better NOT show up at Bugis Junction later tonight!! You really DON'T wanna make me angry. Me angry, very bad things will happen, I promise you (evil smile).

Showdown between The Hulk and MKP

I bet you Hulkmaniacs and anti-MKP fans didn't know it would come to this... a 2-minute verbal showdown between the world's fave green goliath and Singapore's most hated Mediacorp fan...

The Hulk vs Mr Kiam Pa!! Muahahaha... :-p

(Both competitors had their hands and feet bound up by chains to ensure that they don't throw any punches or run amok halfway through the verbal exchange. Hulk had to undergo weeks of anger management sessions prior to this showdown, so that he won't break from his bondages in case his rage increases.)

MKP: Who the hell do you thinks you are huh??So what if you're the Hulk?

Hulk: Hulk has heard of your reputation, that's why Hulk come here!! Hulk already very angry by your stupid actions.

MKP: Oh stop your gibberish talks for goodness sake, and stop giving me that stupid look already.

Hulk: Hulk admits he may not be as smart as some people or talk normally, but at least he's smarter than YOU!!

MKP: Oh yeah? How is that so?Can you proves to me?

Hulk: Hulk passed his English, he got a B+!! And you?? You got a big fat F!!! And Hulk got straight As for Maths, Physics, Chemistry AND Biology too!! Hulk million times smarter than puny human like YOU.

MKP: Oooh that's too good for you.But you have no rights to insult me based on my academic performance.I worked very hard for my o levels, you know. You thinks I'm scared of you ah?At least I can runs faster than you...I think.

Hulk: Hulk can run a lot faster and jump higher than you. Hulk more handsome and even has better hairstyle than YOU. Hulk wants to yank off your hair til you become bald. You smell like piece of shit. Hulk can smell you even from afar.

MKP: Hulk handsome??Oh please, don't make me puke, you're nowhere as good-looking as me lor.And I smells a hell lot better than you lor.My hair is my hair, you can't do anything about it.You lay a hand on me,I will calls the law enforcers to comes after you.

Hulk: Humph!! You think Hulk scared of police? Hulk will SMASH the police cars!! Hulk will beat up puny policemen!! Hulk is many times STRONGER than you!! At least Hulk is not a camera whore unlike YOU!!

MKP: Is that all you got, huh?Whatever you do,you can't stops me from going after my fave singer Stefanie Sun,whom I loves to the very core.

Hulk: HA!! Stefanie won't even want you as a fan, let alone a friend. Same goes for Felicia, Joanne, Zoe and a few more. Hulk has only one love of his life, and her name is Betty Ross. She loves Hulk even though he being greatly misunderstood. Felicia reminds Hulk of Betty.

MKP: Don't bet on it.I already watched Narnia 2,and you think by coming here to look down on me,I will want to watch your movie?PTUI!!I dislike you, you're as ugly and stupid as that donkey who is so old yet wanna chases after celebs.

Hulk: You dare insult Hulk's friend?? Do you want a savage bashing from Hulk?!?!

MKP: You really wanna beat me???Go ahead, give me your best shot if you dares!!I believe that donkey sent you here to confront mes right??

Hulk: Hulk come here on own accord, the one you call donkey had nothing to do with this. Puny human... Hulk will leave the bashing for another day. But let Hulk warn you first... Hulk and friend whom you call 'donkey' better NOT see you at Bugis tomorrow, otherwise HULK WILL SMASH!!! Hulk and friends love Felicia and Tweety Bird, but NOT YOU.

MKP: Oh really? We shall wait and see about that.

(bell rings to mark time expiry)

Winner of this match... Hulk is unable to overcome the obsessive freak's harsh criticism and 'colorful vocabulary', but then again MKP can't match the intelligence and strength of the gamma-powered giant. So it's a draw... for now. But I personally prefer the Hulk to win (for very obvious reasons!).

No prizes for guessing who will win the Last Man Standing match between the two... if there ever is one. (evil smirk)

P.S. Marvel fanatics, do watch "The Incredible Hulk", it's definitely WORTH THE WATCH!!! ;-)

Info on the Hulk characters part 2: The Abomination

Next character to be featured is The Abomination, the main antagonist for The Incredible Hulk.

Emil Blonsky is a past-his-prime veteran soldier nearing his retirement, leading the special forces to help General Ross in hunting down the Hulk. Following a one-on-one confrontation wih the Hulk that left him humiliated, Blonsky personally volunteers to be injected with Banner's gamma formula (the same one that created the Hulk) to aid Ross in his capture, and it creates a mutation more extreme than the Hulk. Blonsky's skin, muscles and bones become exaggerated, making him look more inhuman than the human-looking Hulk. Blonsky can use his spine and bones sticking out of his elbows and heels as weapons. Emil Blonsky will be portrayed by Tim Roth in the film.

Blonsky's transformation into The Abomination substantially increases his strength and durability, giving him many of the same powers as the Hulk. Like the Hulk, The Abomination is also resistant to damage, can hold his breath for extended periods of time, and breathe underwater. Blonksy is also capable of regenerating from damage, but at a slower rate. Like the Hulk, he can travel many miles with one bound. The Abomination differs from the Hulk in several ways. The biggest setback is that although Blonsky retains his mentality, he is unable to revert back into his human form due to the extremity of his mutation. Originally, the Abomination was shown to be stronger than a calm Hulk, but his strength would not increase with anger.

Info on the Hulk characters part 1: The Hulk

Happy Birthday to Jeff Teoh and Deborah

The following two entries contain information of the Hulk and Abomination, featured in the upcoming Incredible Hulk film. Let's start off with everyone's favorite jolly green giant... The Hulk!

After physicist Dr. Robert Bruce Banner was caught in the blast of a gamma bomb he created, he gained the ability to transform into the Hulk (in times of anger or stress), a giant, green-skinned monster of sheer strength and anger. The character, both as Banner and the Hulk, is frequently pursued by the police or the armed forces, often as a result of the destruction he causes. Originally portrayed by Eric Bana in the 2003 Hulk film directed by Lee Ang, Bruce Banner/The Hulk will be portrayed by Edward Norton in The Incredible Hulk, who also wrote the script alongside Zak Penn for the new film.

The Hulk possesses the potential for limitless physical strength depending directly on his emotional state, particularly his anger. This has been reflected in the repeated comment "The madder Hulk gets, the stronger Hulk gets." His durability, healing, and endurance increase in relation to his temper. The Hulk is also extremely resistant to most forms of injury or damage, including physical, psychic, environmental extremes, and is immune to disease and poisons. His powerful legs allow him to leap into lower Earth orbit or across continents. He has been shown to have both regenerative and adaptive healing abilities; he could heal from almost any wound within seconds, including regenerating lost mass. The Hulk is very heavily muscled and this can be seen through his skin as he has almost no fat in his body. His green skin seems to be a result of his green mutated blood as evidenced by the green veins that appear all over Banner's body as he changes.
The 2008 film version of the Hulk seems to be more of an offshoot of Banner and the personification of his rage and aggression, however Hulk's own personality starts to appear towards the end. The Hulk sees the world and reacts to it like a very angry newborn; he shows aggression to anything that attempts to hurt him or caused the anger that made Banner become him (which is all the time), and he treats anything that isn't automatically seen as a threat with a great curiosity reminiscent of a baby just beginning to explore its surroundings. Unfortunately like a newborn, he also acts on immediate emotion, which of course most of the time is anger.

More info on the Hulk's powers and abilities: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powers_and_abilities_of_the_Hulk

As Bruce Banner (and the Merged/Professor Hulk), he is considered one of the greatest minds on Earth. He has developed expertise in the fields of biology, chemistry, engineering, and physiology, and holds a Ph.D. in nuclear physics. He possesses a mind "so brilliant it cannot be measured on any known intelligence test".
Banner is (unsurprisingly) extremely fearful of becoming the Hulk and takes many steps to ensure that he doesn't transform, e.g. meditation, breathing techniques and wearing a heart-rate monitor device to ensure his heartbeat doesn't go above the 200 beat mark, which is one of the signs he is about to change. Banner can't engage in any activity that will cause his adrenaline levels to soar; this includes any situation that could make him very angry, scared, excited, etc. Evidence in regards to excitement is shown in a funny but poignant scene where he starts to make love to Betty, but has to stop mid-way because his heart rate monitor starts beeping rapidly, and he knows that too much excitement could cause a "Hulk Out".

Info on The Incredible Hulk film

Happy Birthday to Allan Wu, Julian Hee, Muhd Riduan and Delphine
May the power of the Purple Wolf shine forth in you, Riduan.
May the beauty and grace of the White Crane shine forth in your being, Delphine.

The Incredible Hulk is a superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character the Hulk. It is directed by Louis Leterrier and stars Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross, William Hurt as her father General Thaddeus Ross and Tim Roth as the villainous Emil Blonsky, known in the Hulk comics as the Abomination.

The film follows Banner as a fugitive in South America attempting to find a cure to the condition that turns him into the Hulk. he flees the pursuit of the United States Army and the Hulkbusters led by General Ross and a semi-retired special forces commander Emil Blonsky, who wants his power. When Blonsky personally volunteers to be injected with Banner's gamma formula to aid Ross in his capture, he becomes a monster stronger and more powerful than the Hulk, and Banner must accept his inner beast to defeat Blonsky.

After the 2003 film Hulk, Marvel Studios reacquired the rights to the character, and writer Zak Penn began work on a reboot that would be much closer to the comics and the television series. Norton rewrote the script after he signed on to star, severing all ties to its predecessor by retelling the origin story in flashbacks and revelations. Filming of principal photography mostly took place in Toronto, Canada in 2007, and the film's crew went to great lengths to reduce the production's carbon emissions. Letterier's direction aimed to make the monsters look more realistic and frightening, and also show Bruce Banner's struggle with the monster inside of him. He redesigned the Abomination, who in the comics is a reptilian KGB agent, into a mutant soldier with bony protrusions.

UATO preview episode

Man I tell you, I nearly became deaf due to the loud screaming of mostly teenage girls in the Mediacorp theater... I had to wear earplugs to diffuse as much as noise as I could. I ain't gonna complain about the hawker center-like environment, for screaming for one's faves is very common not just in this show, but many other shows as well. After all, the theater is meant for anyone to make noise.

But the worst thing that could ever happen was to have my face shown for brief moments onscreen!! Arghhh... such is the price of sitting in the front row. And Shawn Tok, who was sitting directly behind me, was smart enough to cover his face with the Shiqian poster (alongside his friends of course). To me, that youngster is no different from my nephew Mark.

The 16 contestants shared with all 6 hosts about the wonderful times they had together for 2+ months, plus the laughter and tears they had been through. The 8 contestants who didn't get to the next round sang different songs. The judges didn't appear here, this episode was totally reserved for the contestants to speak about the brotherly/sistery bonds they built during the competition.

1) Jianfeng and Jia Xi singing some song, while Caleb and Clement play on the guitar and piano respectively

2) Jianfeng, Rachelle, Qiuting and Jia Xi singing "Romeo and Zhu Ying Tai"

3) Shi Qian, Shiying and Christalle singing a song by Angela Chang

After the show, I was surprised to see Cheng Xi outside the theater, at the parking lot. So I took the opportunity to take picture with him again :-)

Then at the reception, I took pic wif Louis and Gavriil. Wishing these two the best of luck in the finals this Sunday... ;-)

Afterwards, I went down to take a breather at the taxi stand, and proceeded upwards at abt 2330 hrs... only to find out that the security guards had chased everyone out. Me and Terence walked to a different location and took Bus 132 back to our respective homes. And if there's one thing I must admit here, I feel like doing Venom-style CNLG (keep guessing) to a certain girl who always wears short pants. I know she's as good-looking as her older sister, got legs and good figure, but I feel she should wear something decent next time round.

And no, I am NEVER going to watch "Superband 2", I don't give a shit about it.

King of Pop Impersonator video

While snapping pictures via digicam, I took the liberty to record the performance of Jay the Michael Jackson impersonator via camera phone on my other hand... don't mind the crappy image quality, be amazed by this MJ fan's sleek moves to the beats of two of the songs that catapulted the rising MJ to megastardom, "Beat It" and "Billie Jean". :-)

P.S. I know many of you will go "wah piang eh, this Jay damn slick xiah!!", esp when he does the moonwalk... the same applies to the real King of Pop, but with even better results. Here's the link to the real MJ's data profile: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Jackson

'Michael Jackson' at Heartland Mall, hee hee!!

Yesterday... 1900- 2300 hrs

Thank goodness I didn't go for the Sichuan charity show on Saturday night (got church function to attend anyway), cos I found out that MKP went for it!! I confirm will bash him up if I were to go!! (evil smirk)

Anyway, right after my short rest from the CWP event, I went for early dinner with Mother, then made my way to Heartland Mall... to watch a Michael Jackson Impersonator performance! The moment Jay the MJ Impersonator (an Indian btw) got up on stage and started dancing at abt 7 pm sharp, a lot of people (including young kids who may not have any idea who MJ is) got attracted to the dance and gathered around the stage region to watch!! He danced to the classics of "Beat It" and "Billie Jean"... could have been better if he danced for a few more minutes, to at least 2 more songs (like "Bad" and "Smooth Criminal"). Thank goodness I didn't volunteer myself up on stage due to 'unacceptable' attire and the fact that the prizes were jigsaw puzzles meant for kids. Still, it was really cool and worthwhile to see a MJ Impersonator dance in the midst of Heartland Mall for a few minutes, hee hee!! :-p

After that ah... I went back home to watch 2 comedy-type of films... "Garfield" and "Mr Bean's Holiday". Next Sunday, I will be missing out on a lot...

Here are the pictures as promised... enjoy! ;-)
