I can't believe what I am seeing in the WWE news... three champions have been drafted to different brands?? Good old JR and Michael Cole switching brands??? This draft is a COMPLETE DISASTER!!! :-O

Just days before Night of Champions, seismic shifts took place across the landscape of sports-entertainment, with WWE Champion Triple H being drafted to SmackDown, giving that brand two World Championships, while Raw gained the ECW Champion Kane. Raw, SmackDown and ECW earned the right to receive a random draft pick by competing in inter-brand matches that led to 10 Superstars changing their home brands. Even more shocking was the spontaneous destruction of the Raw stage, which collapsed on top of the Chairman of WWE, Mr. McMahon, in the final moments of the show.

More Raw Talent
With five Superstars drafted to the brand throughout the night, Raw came away from the draft with a lot of new talent in their roster. In the very first match of the night, WWE Champion Triple H (prior to being drafted himself) defeated Mark Henry, earning Raw the first draft pick, which saw the incomparable Rey Mysterio join Monday nights. After the match, The Game welcomed the Master of the 619, but was interrupted by Triple H’s Night of Champions opponent, John Cena.
Cena also tasted victory, as he defeated his long-time rival, World Heavyweight Champion Edge by count-out. After the match was won, Edge was attacked by Batista, who has his own problems with the World Champion, and will face him this Sunday at Night of Champions. With Cena winning the match, Raw earned another draft pick, which brought Batista back to Monday nights, along with his opportunity to win the World Heavyweight Title this Sunday night.
JBL showed San Antonio why he refers to himself as a “wrestling-god” as he defeated ECW’s Kofi Kingston to earn Raw another draft pick. When the random lottery machine ran, it was ECW Champion Kane who joined Raw along with his coveted title, though he will still defend it against Big Show at Night of Champions.
In the second of four tag team matches, World Tag Team Champions Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes defeated Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely, which served as good practice for the champions’ match at Night of Champions against Ted DiBiase and a mystery partner. After winning the match, it was CM Punk’s music that played as Mr. Money in the Bank himself joined Raw.
WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James & Melina and the team of SmackDown’s Victoria and Natalya also had a tag team match. Two of these women will be competing at Night of Champions: Mickie will defend her Women’s Championship against Katie Lea Burchill, and Natalya will compete against an opponent still to be decided in order to become the first-ever Divas Champion. The draft following this contest was open only to ring announcers, commentators and backstage interviewers, but when Melina suffered a severe ankle sprain and the match ended in a double-disqualification, both Raw and SmackDown received draft picks. These picks saw Jim Ross move to SmackDown, and Michael Cole move to the Raw announce table. (NOOOO!!!!)

Building Up SmackDown
On Friday night, SmackDown will find itself with five new Superstars, two of which were selected after Edge won a Tri-Branded 15-Man Battle Royal. The Ultimate Opportunist threw both Triple H and John Cena over the ropes, winning SmackDown the final two draft lottery picks of the night: Raw’s Mr. Kennedy, and WWE Champion Triple H, who will bring his title with him to Friday nights.
On Sunday, the father-son team of Finlay & Hornswoggle will challenge WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz, but on Monday night they warmed up by defeating the team of Santino Marella & Carlito. The two fighting Irishmen’s win resulted in Jeff Hardy being drafted to Friday nights.
SmackDown also benefited from MVP’s match with Tommy Dreamer, when the Ballin’ Superstar defeated Dreamer in spite of Colin Delaney being in the ECW Original’s corner. With that win, SmackDown said “Hello” to Umaga, who was drafted to the brand, and immediately entered the ring, devastating both Tommy Dreamer and Colin Delaney.

Extreme Recruit
ECW only found itself gaining one new Superstar to the brand, due to WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz defeating United States Champion Matt Hardy and his brother and new SmackDown brand-mate, Jeff Hardy. With the champions’ win, ECW was able to draft Matt Hardy, who brings with him his United States Championship, which he will defend against Chavo Guerrero at Night of Champions.

I don't wanna hate you, but I wanna say that I am totally disgusted by you. In fact, I have been feeling this way for more than a year already.

I know there are a lot of stuff I missed out this week after I left for Thailand.

1. The Osmonds reunion on 17th June... missing that one is totally ok, cos I wasn't familiar with the older Osmond siblings, other than Donnie and Marie.
   
2. The Air Supply concert at the S'pore Expo Hall on 21st June... again, missing out on that is ok, cos I'm not really a diehard fan of the amazing duo known for penning memorable love ballads such as "All Out Of Love", "The One That You Love", etc.
   
3. The Perfect Cut roadshow at Chinatown Point on 21st June. I admit I do wanna attend this, but then I already saw Felicia at the Tweety Fashion Launch at Bugis last Sat, so even if I were to go for this, I would focus mostly on Fel rather than the other artistes there. It was mostly due to the Tweety Bird event that I chose to leave on the 15th. As the saying goes, "there's always a next time" when it comes to seeing Fel again.
   
4. The Qiuting FC birthday gathering. I would be lying if I said I 'didn't feel like going for this one'. But it was due to my decision to leave for Thailand on 15th June that I have to make sacrifices such as this. I knew I would obviously miss out on a lot. I dunno if I would ever get to see Qiuting again in the near future. It's bad enough that a few UATO contestants had gone back to China, sigh. :-/

Info on Doc Leonard Samson

Film portrayal
Doc Leonard Samson appears in the 2008 Incredible Hulk film, and is played by Ty Burrell. He does not have any superpowers, but he is portrayed closer to his earlier appearances before his incident. He is in a short relationship with Betty Ross. He criticized General Ross's reasons for hunting Banner/Hulk, especially after witnessing the Hulk protecting Betty from the crossfire of General Ross's attacks. In a deleted scene, Leonard asks Betty for forgiveness for tipping off General Ross on Bruce's whereabouts, to which she informs him that she will let him know when she gets back. Burrell, who has signed on for a possible sequel, has stated that he wants to portray the superpowered Doc Samson faithfully to the comics

Power and abilities
Leonard Samson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He became a college professor and psychiatrist. After Bruce Banner was temporarily cured of being the Hulk by siphoning off the gamma radiation that caused his transformations, Samson, who had been working with Banner/Hulk in his job as a psychiatrist, exposed himself to some of the siphoned radiation, granting him a superhumanly strong and muscular physique and causing his hair to turn green and to grow long, reminiscent of his biblical namesake.

Doc Samson possesses superhuman physical abilities as a result of exposure to high levels of gamma radiation. Though his exposure is considerably less than that of the Hulk or the Abomination, he still possesses most of the same powers as they have.

The gamma radiation mutated Samson's physique by adding considerable muscle and bone mass to his body, granting him high levels of superhuman strength. Samson's hair is a bright shade of green due to his exposure to gamma radiation. Initially, his strength was dependent upon the length of his hair and the longer it was, the more powerful he was though his mutation has since stablized making his hair length irrelevant.

Samson's strength is equal to that of the Gray Hulk, aka Joe Fixit, while the latter is in a calm emotional state. Unlike the Hulk, however, Samson's strength doesn't increase due to adrenaline surges while angry. As a result, Samson is ultimately far less powerful than the Hulk. Also like the Hulk and Abomination, Samson's leg muscles are highly developed and powerful. He is able to leap great distances both vertically and horizontally, though not nearly as far as the Hulk or Abomination.
Aside from granting him more muscle mass, Samson's bodily tissues are fortified and are considerably harder than those of an ordinary human, granting him a high level of resistance to physical injury. Samson can withstand falls from great heights, extremes of temperature, high-caliber bullets, and tremendous impact forces like being repeatedly struck by the Hulk without sustaining injury. Due to his highly advanced musculature, his muscles produce considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity than the musculature of a normal human, granting him superhuman stamina. He's demonstrated sufficient stamina to a battle a mindless incarnation of the Hulk for more than six hours.

Like others who have gamma induced powers, Doc Samson is immune to terrestrial diseases. Unlike the Hulk, Abomination, or even the She-Hulk, Samson hasn't demonstrated any accelerated healing powers.

Doc Samson is said to be one of the most renowned psychiatrists on Earth. He is often called on to counsel various superhumans, such as the members of X-Factor. He has a M.D. in psychiatry, and is a skilled theoretical technician and inventor of various medical devices.

Samson is a good hand to hand combatant that, coupled with his physical attributes, have allowed him to hold his own against the Hulk for extended periods of time. He has also briefly engaged the combined forces of Iron Man, Wonder Man, Sub-Mariner, and Hercules, though those heroes had been fatigued after battling the Mindless Hulk. He sometimes uses psychology as a tool to get through a more powerful opponent's guard, such as an Infinity Gem-empowered Titania.

Info on Samuel Sterns aka The Leader

Film portrayal

Dr. Samuel Sterns appears in the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk, where he is portrayed by Tim Blake Nelson. In this film, Sterns already starts off as a genius professor who specializes in cellular biology. He is shown trying to help Bruce Banner throughout the film, but has been gamma testing animals and possibly people, believing he could make humans immune to all diseases. Upon meeting him, Bruce and Betty Ross learn that Sterns has developed a possible antidote that may cure Banner's condition, or merely reverse each individual transformation.
After a successful test, Sterns reveals that he has synthesized Banner's blood sample (which he sent from Brazil) into a large supply with the intention of using it to enhance the human condition to the next evolutionary level. Appalled by what Sterns had done and fearful of the Hulk's power falling into the wrong hands, Banner attempts to convince Sterns to destroy the blood supply, but he is attacked by Ross' forces and he and Betty are taken into custody. Emil Blonsky then coerces Sterns to give him an injection of the Banner-enhanced serum, causing Blonsky to mutate into the "Abomination". During the transformation, Sterns is knocked across the room and some of the serum drips into a cut on his head. Sterns' head begins to pulsate and a grin appears on his face. Nelson is signed on to reprise the role in a future film (most possibly a sequel), where he would become the Leader.

Powers and abilities

The Leader has superhuman mental acumen, as a result of his exposure to an explosion of gamma-irradiated waste. His brain size has increased at an alarming rate due to the vast knowledge he had attained during his tenure as professor. He possesses enhanced intuition, pattern solving, information storage and retrieval, and logical and philosophical structuring. His ability to predict probable outcomes of tactical and strategic scenarios is so advanced that it borders on clairvoyance. The Leader has a perfect memory with the ability to recall every moment since the accident that gave him his powers. In addition to his superhuman intelligence, the Leader has limited but potent telekinetic and telepathic powers. He is able to mentally control non-gamma-mutated individuals upon touching them, and is capable of battling the Hulk with his telekinetic powers.

The Leader possesses knowledge of genetics, physics, and robotics, and has designed a large number of sophisticated weapons, vehicles, computers, androids, and synthetic humanoids. He is particularly adept at genetic engineering and manipulating radiation for various nefarious purposes.

Felicia at Bugis Junction (plus a personal message to MKP)

Happy Birthday to Thomas Haden Church, Crystal and Zax Hui

On Saturday, I went to Chinatown for a while, to look through some old toys at China Square Central. After much consideration, I decided to buy 2 WWE toys at a cheaper price (see last paragraph).Then I took a bus to Bugis and reached the place super early, at abt 3.45 pm. I soon realized I wasn't the only early bird (Ice and Delphine had arrived way earlier than me). I felt tempted to watch "The Incredible Hulk" again, but decided not to. Watching this incredible film once is good enough, can always wait for the DVD to be out. :-)

There were some dancing rehearsals between 5 to 5.30 pm, and i immediately recognized one of the dancers to be Kay, one of the members from Platinum. This is due to her distinguishable facial features and star tattoos on her back. I managed to chat with her after the show, yippee!! :-P

Most of the fans had gathered near the stage at about 6.30 pm, fans like Rachel, Li Juan, Jerena, Vincent, etc. And to our horror, the Abominable Mr Kiam Pa did show up for the event. BLOODY FUCKER, KNNBCCB!!! Yes, I was very close to turning into The Hulk almost immediately after I found out about this. Refer to 2nd last paragraph of this entry to read my message to him.

Fel the ambassador for Tweety! brand arrived sometime before 7 pm. I felt like kicking myself for not seizing the chance to take pic wif her at the Tweety Bird shop. I did manage to talk to her for a while, and she said I don't need to get her anything from Thailand.

Then we headed back to stage... we saw a few artistes there. Artistes like Eelyn, Rebecca, Dennis Chew and Pat Mok. Not forgetting Benjamin Heng, though I doubt many people actually recognise him, let alone remember him.

The event started at 8 pm, after a long wait. I took pictures of 6 ang moh models and 2 xiaomeimeis parading on the catwalk in various Tweety Bird attire. Fel ended the fashion launch by coming out in a lovely yellow dress, complete with umbrella (ella, ella, eh eh eh).

We waited outside the stage for Fel to come out, and eventaully swarmed around her outside the Tweety Bird shop. We ended off with a group pic of Fel and fans (including that despciable soul, humph!!). Due to overwhelming crowd and other factors, I couldnt take pic wif Fel, and I felt like kicking myself again right after Fel boarded a taxi-. At least I managed to get her autograph on the Simply Her magazine I had brought along. I forgot to ask her about Mickey (the toy I gave her at Ngee Ann City last month).

But I made up for my blunder quickly by taking pic wif the beautiful Eelyn (also involved in fashion launch) at the Tweety Bird shop. Hurray!! :-D

After which most of us fans (about 14 in all, I think) gathered for supper at TCC, before taking our separate routes back home.

To the Abominable MKP aka Koh Tze Seng... you're damn right that all of us were 'damn shocked' to see YOU. I am typing this in smaller font cos of your low-class status, and also bcos I DON'T respect you at all. Truth be told, I was actually EXPECTING you to show up at Bugis, knowing how 'obsessed and highly motivated' you are towards stars like Felicia or Pat or Yanzi (to name a few). I'd be lying if I said that I 'wasn't angry' the moment I saw you; it took me a while to control my anger, lest I turn green and mean. Your abominable presence is enough to anger me, and I won't wanna throw any punches, for it is of no use to do so (not in a public place). You're right about one thing... nobody (not even myself) can stop you from 'appearing whenever you want'. Let me tell you that all of your online bragging (esp on your 'super loud whistle') will get you NOWHERE in the end. Your arrogance and abominable character will prove to be your downfall. The artistes DON'T need to know about your whistle at all. You are a cerified moron and that's the honest truth. You think people really wanna look at you??? They want to KILL you cos of your super-irritating and detsetable behavior!!! I will NEVER stop leaving you alone, and I take full pleasure in insulting you (as well as putting 'you' against various WWE Superstars in my WWE game). There's NOTHING you can do about it anyway.

And if you ain't down with that, then I got TWO WORDS for ya.. SUCK IT!!! XDDDD

And the 2 WWE figures I bought from China Square Central are... none other than the Chaingang Soldier John Cena and the Animal Batista!!! Top billing Superstars from Raw and Smackdown! :-)

Off to Thailand

By the time any of you read this, I would have already flown off to Thailand. And given the fact that I will be mixing around with a team of missionaries, I will be posting my encounters in a separate blog, in order to prevent the church people from knowing about this rather messed-up blog.

But of course, you know that I'll be back in a few weeks' time. And I will updates this blog at least once a week, so don't worry ya? ;-)

I will miss the U Are the One contestants the most... I will also miss the Mediacorp celebs, the numerous friends from the extended MDC fan family, church friends and relatives.

But the bright side of things is, I will get to celebrate Fathers' Day with my dad the moment I reach Bangkok!! :-) And I need not worry about getting frustrated by Mother's constant nagging... muahaha. :-X

My thoughts on The Hulk, and other stuff too

On Thursday...
I went to watch "The Incredible Hulk" with Source at Lido, at the earliest time of 1030 hrs. It helps that the cinema was a really HUGE one. :-)

Stan Lee's cameo at the start of this film is most remarkable, as is Lou Ferrigno's cameo as a security guard. So far Stan and Lou are the only cast members who appear in both the 2003 film and this reboot. I feel that Edward Norton did a better job than Eric Bana as Bruce Banner, the same goes for William Hurt and Liv Tyler as father-and-daughter Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross and Elizabeth "Betty" Ross. Tim Roth also impresses as the sadistic and power-hungry special forces agent Emil Blonsky (the main antagonist here), who volunteers to be transformed into a 'super soldier'. There is also Dr Samuel Sterns, a friend of Bruce who assists in supressing the inner beast within him with some antidote, and later pays a heavy price for duplicating Bruce's blood sample and assisting Blonsky in his mutation. Leonard Samson, Jim Wilson and even Tony Stark aka Iron Man (played by Robert Downey Jr) make special appearances in this film.

The chemistry between Norton and Tyler in this film is much better and stronger than the one shared by Bana and Connelly in the first film. The love story between Betty and Bruce/Hulk parallels that of Beauty and The Beast here. The climactic showdown between Hulk and Abomination is obviously better than The Hulk vs David Banner (aka Absorbing Man) in the first film... it's as intense as a match between Undertaker and Batista, that's how brutal it can be; watch it and you'll agree. ;-)

To sum it all up, the film is many times better and much more promising than the first film directed by Lee Ang, although it tends to get a little slow-paced and dull halfway through. I rate it 7.5 out of 10 marks. Lee Ang must be cowering his face in shame right now...

On Friday...
Went out to change some currency, meet up with a friend, then have dinner at City Hall region with Mother and Wendy, as some sort of 'farewell party'. Then watched last episode of "Honor and Passion" lor.

Today...
I will be going to see some Star Wars-vs-Naruto performance at Chinatown Point first, then head to Bugis to see everyone's fave Mediacorp Princess... Felicia!! Stay tuned for more updates on Tweety Bird fashion launch... ;-)


To Mr Kiam Pa (should I call you by your full name instead?), you can go ahead enjoy your time with Stefanie Sun for all I care, but you better NOT show up at Bugis Junction later tonight!! You really DON'T wanna make me angry. Me angry, very bad things will happen, I promise you (evil smile).

Showdown between The Hulk and MKP

I bet you Hulkmaniacs and anti-MKP fans didn't know it would come to this... a 2-minute verbal showdown between the world's fave green goliath and Singapore's most hated Mediacorp fan...

The Hulk vs Mr Kiam Pa!! Muahahaha... :-p


(Both competitors had their hands and feet bound up by chains to ensure that they don't throw any punches or run amok halfway through the verbal exchange. Hulk had to undergo weeks of anger management sessions prior to this showdown, so that he won't break from his bondages in case his rage increases.)

MKP: Who the hell do you thinks you are huh??So what if you're the Hulk?

Hulk: Hulk has heard of your reputation, that's why Hulk come here!! Hulk already very angry by your stupid actions.

MKP: Oh stop your gibberish talks for goodness sake,and stop giving me that stupid look already.

Hulk: Hulk admits he may not be as smart as some people or talk normally, but at least he's smarter than YOU!!

MKP: Oh yeah?How is that so?Can you proves to me?

Hulk: Hulk passed his English, he got a B+!! And you?? You got a big fat F!!! And Hulk got straight As for Maths, Physics, Chemistry AND Biology too!! Hulk million times smarter than puny human like YOU.

MKP: Oooh that's too good for you.But you have no rights to insult me based on my academic performance.I worked very hard for my o levels,you know.You thinks I'm scared of you ah?At least I can runs faster than you...I think.

Hulk: Hulk can run a lot faster and jump higher than you. Hulk more handsome and even has better hairstyle than YOU. Hulk wants to yank off your hair til you become bald. You smell like piece of shit. Hulk can smell you even from afar.

MKP: Hulk handsome??Oh please,don't make me puke,you're nowhere as good-looking as me lor.And I smells a hell lot better than you lor.My hair is my hair,you can't do anything about it.You lay a hand on me,I will calls the law enforcers to comes after you.

Hulk: Humph!! You think Hulk scared of police? Hulk will SMASH the police cars!! Hulk will beat up puny policemen!! Hulk is many times STRONGER than you!! At least Hulk is not a camera whore unlike YOU!!

MKP: Is that all you got,huh?Whatever you do,you can't stops me from going after my fave singer Stefanie Sun,whom I loves to the very core.

Hulk: HA!! Stefanie won't even want you as a fan, let alone a friend. Same goes for Felicia, Joanne, Zoe and a few more. Hulk has only one love of his life, and her name is Betty Ross. She loves Hulk even though he being greatly misunderstood. Felicia reminds Hulk of Betty.

MKP: Don't bet on it.I already watched Narnia 2,and you think by coming here to look down on me,I will want to watch your movie?PTUI!!I dislike you,you're as ugly and stupid as that donkey who is so old yet wanna chases after celebs.

Hulk: You dare insult Hulk's friend?? Do you want a savage bashing from Hulk?!?!

MKP: You really wanna beat me???Go ahead,give me your best shot if you dares!!I believe that donkey sent you here to confront mes right??

Hulk: Hulk come here on own accord, the one you call donkey had nothing to do with this. Puny human... Hulk will leave the bashing for another day. But let Hulk warn you first... Hulk and friend whom you call 'donkey' better NOT see you at Bugis tomorrow, otherwise HULK WILL SMASH!!! Hulk and friends love Felicia and Tweety Bird, but NOT YOU.

MKP: Oh really?We shall wait and see about that.

Winner of this match... Hulk is unable to overcome the obsessive freak's harsh criticism and 'colorful vocabulary', but then again MKP can't match the intelligence and strength of the gamma-powered giant. So it's a draw... for now. But I personally prefer the Hulk to win (for very obvious reasons!).

No prizes for guessing who will win the Last Man Standing match between the two... if there ever is one. (evil smirk)

P.S. Marvel fanatics, do watch "The Incredible Hulk", it's definitely WORTH THE WATCH!!! ;-)
