It's been a long time... (filming at CHIJMES once more)

Happy Birthday to...
16th Sept- Lee Kuan Yew, Father
17th Sept- Jon Phipps, Samantha

Congrats to Yap Pin Xiu for winning Singapore's first ever Gold medal for the swimming finals in the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games!! You have certainly done us proud :-)

Ok, the truth is, I didn’t go to work yesterday...

In fact, I actually took full-day leave and went for filming at CHIJMES!! And the AC adaptor for the Internet modem was spoilt last night, so I had to post all of this today instead.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow... for when the Elvin fans and Rui En fans were waiting outside the chapel, the crew actually allowed us to enter the place and be part of the filming!! So much better than waiting outside for many hours right? :-D And it wasn’t just one wedding, it was TWO (the second one being a renewing of vows). Filming lasted from 9 am to 6 plus, with a lunch break in between (from 12.30 to 1.30 pm). Being the only male Elf present for the filming, I went with a few more Elves to Raffles City for lunch, before we headed back to the chapel.

The wedding scene was for an upcoming drama titled “By My Side”, scheduled for release in late October this year. I don’t really know the full plot of the show, but I can certainly tell you which artistes star in it... Chen Hanwei, Zoe Tay, Elvin Ng, Rui En, Terence Cao, Brandon Wong, Ong Ai Leng, Zhu Houren, Doreen Choo and Tommy Wong Changli. The ones “getting hitched” are Elvin & Rui En, Hanwei & Zoe. Terence was the only cast member who was absent from the wedding.

Before filming began at 0845 hrs, I went “Obi-wan mode” and said to a very surprised Rui En, “Hello there, long time no see” in Ewan MacGregor’s Scottish accent. (I hadn't seen her for nearly 9 months liao) But my heart nearly broke the moment I saw how scrawny Rui En looked (never mind the fact that she looked as beautiful as ever)... no different from her NDP 2005 days with Taufik or her Sun Yixin character in "Ai Qing Ling Du C". Could be her metabolism rate a bit unstable...WHOOPS!!! :-X And yep, that's a real chihuahua she's cuddling. Paris Hilton, she ain't.

Hanwei spent more time filming than the others... his character reminded me a little of Daredevil (due to his onscreen blindness and foldable stick).

Oh, and I was relieved that Houren didn't "cai si" (trample on) any of us (he last played Fann Wong's schizophrenic uncle in "The Defining Moment"). "Long Tingguang" (eh, I nearly forgot that he once played Zoe's father in "The Unbeatables"!!) spent more time chatting on his cellphone, certainly not in the mood to "curse" others... not in the midst of a wedding!

And Ye Shipin was quite a clown... attempting to trip Hanwei by sticking his legs out at one point. :-p

As per Naomi's request, this is the only "good" pic I took of Ai Leng (seen here with Brandon Wong). Hmmm, Ai Leng certainly looks a bit like the Korean actress who played Soo Bin in "You Are My Destiny"...

I found it strange that I chatted with Elvin more often than with Rui En (whom I knew for about a decade)... but that’s mostly because Elvin sat with us Elves when he wasn’t required. Oh, and he gave us chocolates too, so sweet of him! I got to take picture with both Mr Ng and Miss Lu and get their autographs, way before lunch time!! “Primary mission” accomplished... Praise the Lord!! ;-)

Check out what Rui En wrote on my magazine... "Dear Tanat, thanks for attending my wedding... again!! :-) Luff, Rui En". Oh, and I told her that I am a cat lover too. :-p

Can you guess which one is Rui En, and which one is Zoe? ;-)

Some of the extras at the left side felt tired from 4 pm onwards, and started dozing off... I couldn't resist taking a picture here, heh... even the pastor himself felt rather drowsy.

Indeed the cast and crew were tired, but most of the credits should go to the little girl who played Hanwei’s and Zoe’s daughter... she had to do a lot of retakes for her scenes for more than 30 minutes because the director (who seemed a little snob) wanted the girl to show more expression. The poor xiao meimei got so stressed, she broke down in tears towards the end of her last scene, and had to be comforted by her mummy. :-( The audience gave her a standing ovation after that... I could only feel sorry for her. Maybe I should flip my coin to decide the fate of that rather chor lor director who didn’t seem to show any care towards the poor girl... she’s only about 9 years old damnit!! :-( Stay tuned for my dedicatory post for the little girl...

The “optional mission”, which is to take pic with Zoe and Hanwei, could not be done because both of them spent most of the time filming. I did take a solo pic of Zoe, not sure if Hanwei recognized me or not. I was close to hinting to him that we knew each other via Facebook... but he was already too occupied in his work, having applied a lot of tear drops to his eyes to do an emotional scene.

Still I made up for the "optional mission failure" by taking picture with Brandon, with some help from the lovely Ai Leng, at the time when all the extras were dismissed formally. Then I quickly got out of the chapel before the crew could come after me... could have taken pic with Ai Leng too if I were wise enough. Oh well.

Once outside, the Elves chatted with Elvin, whilst Rui En mixed around with the RBKD fans (including the Meaty family, grrrr). Then Elvin and Rui En stood together for a photo from various cameras, before heading back inside the chapel for one last scene. I then had dinner at good ol’ Raffles City and 'teleported' home. Hahaha no lah, I took a bus back... :-p

In spite of the fact that filming took nearly the whole day, I gotta admit that it was a GREAT SUCCESS for me and the others... :-)

I don’t even need to do the Shawn Michaels entrance motion again, because my joy is shared with many others... I am seeing this as a blessing of course. May God bless the cast and crew of the show... ;-)

P.S. if I were to choose a place for my own wedding (provided I can ever find a girl to share my life with, sniff), CHIJMES is definitely THE place!! :-p

Random views on Thai politics and other shockers

Happy Birthday to Xie Shaoguang, Jay Lim, Fathim and Liting

I knew it!! Samak had stepped down and decided not to re-elect for PM of Thailand, following his folly with the cooking shows. Many people saw this coming, that's for certain. And today, there will be another state of emergency as a new PM is about to be chosen. Yet the pro- and anti-government parties still refused to quieten down. Whoever is gonna be the new PM, one of the protester groups confirm will make noise. Even the cats at the void deck can't seem to comprehend this madness... I just noticed that there are 2 sets of siblings. Aww crap I forgot their names liao... there are just too many cats within the Hougang heartlands already.

Ah Mao No 1 (male, slimmer one at left): So who do you think is gonna be the next PM, now that Samak had stepped down? All that fiasco on the cooking shows is starting to make me feel hungry...

Ah Mao No 2 (female, plumper one at right): Arghhh don't ask me liao... already got so much confusion in Thailand for the past few weeks. However, I got a very bad feeling that the new PM might be Somchai... (and he was RIGHT!!!)

Ah Mao No 3 (female, left): Ehhh brother, stop smooching me already and tell me your thoughts on the US presidential campaign... and who would you prefer as our master, Sarah or Hilary?

Ah Mao No 4 (male, right): Whoops, sorry!! Couldn't help it, heh. I don't know... John McCain or Barack Obama? Cooperation or change? I am indifferent towards either... I don't know much about Mrs Palin, but I'd rather have Mrs Clinton as my master. First class treatment... :-p

Slacked weekends... and FHM Sexiest 2008 list

Happy Birthday to...
13th August- Iris and Eugene
14th August- Kelly Neo and Lisa

Yesterday, I didn't really do much... surf Net in morning, go for some Worship Leading programme in church conference room from 1 to 5.30 pm. Then I went to have dinner with Mother and Tris. Oh, and I watched "Epic Movie" and "Meet the Spartans" vis Video Media file. Both films were equally ridiculous and dull... I actually preferred "Epic Movie" a little more due to the great number of nekkid babes featured in the show (WHOOPS!!!). Although I didn't really enjoy watching both films (even at the expense of watching them for free), that still ain't gonna stop me from wanting to watch "Disaster Movie" later this month, muahaha... :-p

Today ah... I went for church service with Mother and Tris. The sermon for the week got something to do with Daniel's visions on a statue made up of metal anf clay being destroyed by a stone or something. After service ended, I waited downstairs, playing on my PSP while Mum was distruibuting some puches as part of the WCSS programme. Me and Mum went to PS for lunch, and then went to buy new formal clothes for myself. After that, I went for haircut at good ol' Uncle Zali's barber shop. Why waste so much money at Monsoon when you can go for a cheaper haircut at any of the nearing barber shops?

And then after that... I got back home and slacked as usual. But I did find something interesting to share... the results for FHM 100 Sexiest Women In The World 2008 list!! Dedication to an abominable soul

Wah piang eh, that Mr Koh TS is really driving me to my wits' end!! Don't you wish you can kill him right now?? Damn kiam pa and hao lian one!!! :-@

I know the MKP research had concluded sometime back, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop bugging that showoff whatsoever. It was never my intention to stop dissing that jabroni. You see, I've been monitoring his blog on a regular basis, just to see how he destroys himself bit by bit. He truly has no real purpose in life lor, only care for himself, and still think he's greater than God!! As you can guess, that fool continues to boast about himself with so much bullshit... he said that the purpose of blogging is "for me to keep a history of my teenage lifestyle that he can commemorate when I grow up". HA!! I doubt he would even get to live long, let alone live to the age of 25. He's so damn bloody simplistic, really. Can't even spell "veins" properly (he wrote as "vains", can you believe it!!)... and he spelt "porridge" as "porriage"??? Yepp, I really think he did terribly for his English composition last year. (evil smirk)

And I thought he likes to ogle at little girls, most notably his boss' daughters?? Then how come he doesn't wanna see half-naked women when a stranger offered him a link to an x-rated site??? And ha, more gays are starting to get attracted to him!! Who ask him to bare his 'sexy body' for everyone to see??? SO SHAMELESS!!! Worse than Edison Chen!!! He even dare said he looks like JJ Lin??? POOI EH!!! I feel like throwing up everytime I think of it. Hewill still be the same fugly bloke no matter how often he zi pai. And in the blog entry titled "My Favorites Are Doing Great", he's obviously playing bigtime bootlicker by showing 'concern' for his top artistes, claiming to be 'very close' to them and that he knows 'very well' what they're doing... worst of all, he can't even get Wendy Cheng's nickname right!! He called her "Xie Xue"... IT'S XIA XUE YOU MORON!!!!

Ok ok, I'm gonna stop my 'analysis' and dedicate this song to that idiot who is too deeply in love with himself and his life (or the lack of it)... this was the entrance theme used by The Undertaker from 2002 to 2003 (during his last biker gimmick). This won't be the last song I dedicate to Mr Siao Kiah btw... (evil smirk)

You're Gonna Pay
Undertaker's theme song circa 2002-2003

Deadman Walking
You've done it now, you've gone and made a big mistake
And I can't allow you to think you can just walk away
So turn around and face the piper you're gonna pay
Cause the end is now, it's gonna be your Judgement Day!

But cheapshots, that's the way that you play the game
I was blindsided, things will never ever be the same
Nice Guys, it's said they always finish last
But Bad Asses, always kickin assholes' own ass...

[Chorus]
You're gonna pay, you're gonna pay
There's no forgiveness this time
You're gonna pay, you're gonna pay
It's my business, you're mine
You're gonna pay, you're gonna pay
I'm burnin these ones to the ground
You're gonna pay, You're gonna pay
I'm gonna bring you down
You're gonna pay, You're gonna pay!!
You're gonna pay, You're gonna pay!!

No more chances, no more excuses, no lies
Your story's ending, time to say your good-byes
Nice guys, it's said they always finish last
But Bad Asses, always kickin assholes' ass... kick it!

You're gonna pay, you're gonna pay
There's no forgiveness this time
You're gonna pay, you're gonna pay
It's my business, you're mine
You're gonna pay, you're gonna pay
I'm burnin these ones to the ground
You're gonna pay, You're gonna pay
I'm gonna bring you down
You're gonna pay, You're gonna pay!!
You're gonna pay, You're gonna pay!!

Very funny jokes on "chicken crossing the road" according to politicians

Happy Birthday to Louis Law and Jiawei

I just got this email from my mum just yesterday... it's so hilarious, I had to put it up here to share with everyone!! :-p

Why did the chicken cross the road?

BARACK OBAMA: The chicken crossed the road because it was time for a CHANGE! The chicken wanted CHANGE!!!

JOHN MCCAIN: My friends, that chicken crossed the road because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and communicate with all the chickens on the other side of the road.

HILLARY CLINTON: When I was First Lady, I personally helped that little chicken to cross the road. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to ensure-- right from Day One! -- that every chicken in this country gets the chance it deserves to cross the road. But then, this really isn't about me...

GEORGE W. BUSH: We don't really care why the chicken crossed the road. We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road, or not. The chicken is either against us, or with us. There is no middle ground here.

JOHN LENNON: Imagine all the chickens in the world crossing roads together, in peace.

BILL GATES: I have just released eChicken-2007, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your check book. Internet Explorer is an integral part of the Chicken. This new platform is much more stable and will never cra...#&!^(C%........ reboot.

BILL CLINTON: I did not cross the road with THAT chicken. May I ask what is your definition of chicken??

AL GORE: I invented the chicken! (ed: DOHHH!!!!)

LEE KUAN YEW: We have installed crossing lights at all traffic junctions. All chickens should be able to cross safely to the other side.

LEE HSIEN LOONG: Gantry points have been set up. All chickens wanting to cross the roadare advised to top up their cash cards first.

WONG KAN SENG: I am sorry that the chicken was allowed to cross the road. It was an HONEST MISTAKE. Let's move on...

ABDULLAH BADAWI: We have to be fair to all chickens. Some want to cross over the road, some do not. (suddenly feels sleepy) Zzzzzz .......zzzzzz ....... (wakes up soon after) Oops, now what were we talking about? Ah yes, chickens. We will form a Royal Commission to decide whether it is right for them to cross the road...

MAHATHIR: Now even the non-bumi chickens want to cross the road? How can they disrespect and disregard the bumi chickens?? We must be allowed to cross over first. It is our right!

ANWAR IBRAHIM: We have enough chickens waiting to cross over in September. (smiles)

SHAHRIR: All foreign chickens are welcome in Malaysia but they must not cross over the road within 50km of the border.

Oh, my dad added this!! I couldn't stop laughing the moment I read it!! :-D

SAMAK SUNDARAVEJ: Chicken can cross the road for all I care, but I won't quit, I won't cross, I will stay no matter what you people say. Even if you kick me out, I will find the way to come back because I still left my supper at my table and many more things not yet finalised. No one else can do, I must finish it first.

Staying cautious towards a certain someone...

Happy Birthday to Jia Qi, Rachel Lin and Jennifer

Firstly, I was rather saddened to read the news that Dongfang Billy's cancer had come back, and that he may not have long to live. And he's already preparing a DVD for his funeral... life is just too short and unpredictable. First MC King, then Nicole Lau, and now Dongfang Billy. And I thought we already had enough problems with the Myamnar cyclone and Szechuan earthquake... :-(

Anyway, my time in EBIS may have been rather dull, but I think I can still cope even without the intervention of a certain Miss W, some financial consultant. You see, this young lady approached me on my first day at IE S'pore last week after some meeting. She chao tehh one, put on fake eyelashes, wear braces, and try to 'psycho' me into accepting some savings plan. I know she means well, but I don't really know her very well. She was the one who made the first move, NOT me. I'm better off with someone else whom I know for months or years. Go find some other target, xiaomeimei. Henceforth I dedicate this song to that ACBC gal... cause I really think that she's too DANGEROUS!!!

DANGEROUS- Michael Jackson

(Spoken)
The Way She Came Into The Place, I Knew Right Then And There
There Was Something Different About This Girl
The Way She Moved, Her Hair, Her Face, Her Lines
Divinity In Motion
As She Stalked The Room I Could Feel
The Aura Of Her Presence
Every Head Turned Feeling Passion And Lust
The Girl Was Persuasive
The Girl I Could Not Trust
The Girl Was Bad, The Girl Was Dangerous

I Never Knew But I Was Walking The Line (Hee!)
Come Go With Me, I Said I Have No Time (Hee hee!)
And Don't You Pretend We Didn't Talk On The Phone (Hee!)
My Baby Cried, She Left Me Standing Alone

She's So Dangerous! The Girl Is So Dangerous!
Take Away My Money, Throw Away My Time
You Can Call Me Honey, But You're No Damn Good For Me!

(Spoken)
She Came At Me In Sections With The Eyes Of Desire
I Fell Trapped Into Her Web Of Sin
A Touch, A Kiss, A Whisper Of Love
I Was At The Point Of No Return
Deep In The Darkness Of Passion's Insanity
I Felt Taken By Lust'sStrange Inhumanity
This Girl Was Persuasive, This Girl I Could Not Trust
The Girl Was Bad, The Girl Was Dangerous!

I Never Knew, But I Was Living In Vain (Hee!)
She Called My House, She Said You Know My Name
And Don't You Pretend You Never Did Me Before (Hee!)
With Tears In Her Eyes, My Baby Walked Out The Door

She's So Dangerous! The Girl Is So Dangerous!
Take Away My Money, Throw Away My Time
You Can Call Me Honey But You're No Damn Good For Me!
Dangerous! The Girl Is So Dangerous!
I Have To Pray To God Cause I Know How Lust Can Blind
There's A Passion In My Soul,
But You're No Damn Lover Friend Of Mine

I Cannot Sleep Alone At Night
My Baby Left Me Here Tonight
I Cannot Cope 'Til It's All Right
You And Your Manipulation, You Hurt My Baby!

(Spoken)
And Then It Happened, She Touched Me
For The Lips Of A Strange Woman
Drop As A Honeycomb
And Her Mouth Was Smoother Than Oil
But Her Inner Spirit And Words
Were As Sharp As A Two-Edged Sword
But I Loved It', Cause It's Dangerous!

Dangerous! The Girl Is So Dangerous!
Take Away My Money, Throw Away My Time
You Can Call Me Honey, But You're No Damn Good For Me!
Dangerous, The Girl Is So Dangerous!
Take Away My Money, Throw Away My Time
You Can Call Me Honey, But You're No Damn Good For Me!
Dangerous, The Girl Is So Dangerous!
Take Away My Money, Throw Away My Time
You Can Call Me Honey, But You're No Damn Good For Me!
Dangerous! The Girl Is So Dangerous!
I Have To Pray To God 'Cause I Know How Lust Can Blind
There's A Passion In My Soul
But You're No Damn Lover Friend Of Mine!

Days of sianness at IE

Happy Birthday to Sheila Ou, Zixiang and Joseph

Ok, I guess I have to reveal where I work... I work as an assistant admin officer for some company named EBIS. Nothing so fanciful right? I have to shuttle between 2 places, National Library and IE S'pore located at Bugis Junction. Both places are abt 10 mins apart. I was close to finishing some categorising assignment by the end of yesterday, til Mr X told me that I have to do stand-in at IE S'pore from 2 pm to end of the day. Worst part is, I was not issued a laptop beforehand!! Obviously I was damn pissed off... had to waste abt 4 hrs idling at the desk, til 6 pm. The moment I got home, I had to finish up on the assignment til abt 12 midnight.

Today ah... even more sian. I had to report to IE S'pore again, and stay there for the whole day! But since I wasn't given any assignment, I guess it's free and easy, so I surf a bit of the Net. I did go back to NLB to submit the assignment via email during lunchbreak. Stay at IE S'pore from 1 to 6 pm, then head back home.

Hor hor, Thai PM Samak Sundaravej is in deep shit now... he is in danger of getting stripped of his office by court order... for receiving payment from appearances in 2 'live' cooking programmes??? That is so totally against the code of the constitution!!! And yet judges did not ban Samak from politics, and his People Power Party (PPP) said immediately after the ruling that they would re-elect him as prime minister. What is this world coming to??? :-(

Results for Unforgiven 2008

Happy Birthday to Lijuan and Yakuza

This doesn't look so good. Despite the promotional buildup for Unforgiven 2008 (held way too early in the month IMHO), only a reported 6,000 tickets have been sold for the event for an arena that holds 20,000 people. To prevent the arena from looking too empty, local radio stations have been giving away Unforgiven tickets.

And now, I give you the results...

Championship Scramble for the ECW Championship
Mark Henry vs Matt Hardy vs Finlay vs Chavo Guerrero vs The Miz

Result: Matt Hardy scores the final pinfall after a Twist of Fate to the World's Strongest Man, and as a result he is crowned the new ECW Champion!! :-D But I wonder what happened to Tommy Dreamer? Would have been a lot more fun if he were in the mix...

Unsanctioned Match (aka Anywhere Goes rules)
Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho
Result: After about 26 minutes of sheer brutality, the Heartbreak Kid wins the match after seemingly knocking Y2J unconscious with some rough blows to the head. HBK's victory was bittersweet, and the worst has yet to come... for the anti-Jericho party that is.

World Tag Team Championship match
Cryme Tyme vs Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr

Result: Cody and Ted having reclaimed their stolen title belts the week before, win the match with some help from Manu, and therefore they are still the World Tag Team Champions. XUETE!!! I want Cryme Tyme to win!!!!! :-((((

Championship Scramble for the WWE Championship
Triple H (champ) vs Jeff Hardy vs Shelton Benjamin vs MVP vs The Brian Kendrick

Result: Despite the 80% chance of losing the title placed upon him, Triple H managed to overcome all the odds for 20 minutes and score the final pinfall after delivering a Pedigree to MVP, and he retains the WWE Title. Hurrah!! :-)

WWE Divas' Championship
Michelle McCool (champ) vs Maryse

Result: Michelle, a Diva Search 2004 finalist, retains the title after a rather brief match against the Diva Search 2006 contestant. No surprise there.

Championship Scramble for the World Heavyweight Championship
CM Punk (champ) vs Batista vs JBL vs Kane vs Rey Mysterio

Midway through the show, CM Punk got assaulted backstage by Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase Jr and Manu (a new wrestler, son of Wild Samoan Afa). With CM Punk being unable to compete, the World Title was hence declared vacant, and CM Punk (incapitated by Orton's infamous head punt) will be replaced by a last minute entrant... who will be revealed towards the end of the match.

And so the match began with Batista going one-on-toe against JBL. Kane was next to enter, and the 4th entrant was Rey Mysterio, who took revenge on the Big Red Monster. And the last entrant was... CHRIS JERICHO?!?! :-O

Result: indeed we have a new World Heavyweight Champion... and that is none other than...
CHRIS JERICHO?!?! WTF!!! :-@

Batista screaming as seen in the promotional poster... "NOOO!!!! Dear God, why is this happening??? I fought so hard, and I still walk out empty-handed yet again!!! And why does it have to be that pesky twerp Jericho to be the champ??? ARGHHHH!!!! I want my mummy!!!"

Interesting search results on myself :-p

Happy Birthday to Darren ong and Tamera

A few days ago, I googled my name for fun, and other than my blog links and Friendster profile, I was surprised to see a few other websites that bear my name. I knew beforehand that my name is kinda common in Thailand, but nothing could prepare me for this...

Firstly there is a bus and coach company named "Tanat Vallet Coaches"... that also sells diesel and oil.
Link: http://www.tanat.co.uk/

Then there were pictures of a red-haired dude named Tanat Lynn (me a Japanese Beng?? I certainly don't look like that when I was in my teens)... and since when do "I" grow up to be Ekin Cheng??? :-O
Link: http://www.fortunecity.com/lavendar/oldman/233/chat/tanatpics.html

But this has gotta be the funniest of all... since when did "I" become a goddess??? I couldn't stop laughing in disbelief and amazement after I read this... :-D

About Tanat: In Cornwall, Tanat is the Mother Goddess of Fertility(!!!) who has given all her attention to nursing spring into its fullness. She also staunchly protects her children (nature and people) so that our spirits can come to know similar fulfillment.

To Do Today: The Furry Dance is an ancient festival that rejoices in Tanat's fine work manifested in spring's warmth and beauty. To bring this Goddess's lucky energy into your life, it's customary to dance with a partner. In fact, the more people you can get dancing, the more fortunate the energy! Usually this is done on the streets throughout a town as a show of regional unity, but when propriety won't allow such a display, just dance around a room together instead. Don't worry about the steps--just do what feels right.

Wearing something with floral or triangular motifs (guys, wear a necktie, and gals, pull out a square scarf and fold it in half crosswise) activates Tanat's happiness in your life and in any region where you have the token on today.

As you don the item, say, "Liberate happiness in and around, by Tanat's blossoming power, joy will be found!" Or, if you want to use the same thing to generate unity and harmony, use this incantation: "Harmony and unity, Tanat's blessings come to me!"

A mei nu's dream home showcased at Expo

Happy Birthday to Colin Delaney and Kira
Rest in peace, Nicole Lau. May the Good Lord watch over your family...

Nothing seems to be going right today, at least in S'pore Expo. It didn't help either that local singing coach Nicole Lau sucuumbed to skin cancer at ony 34 yrs of age. The sermon today lasted for abt 30 min (is that good or bad?). Then I headed to Bedok to have lunch with an old friend. I guessed it was advantageous of me to go to S'pore Expo earlier at 12 plus, cos I found out that there was a Books Warehouse sale and also a Mega Expo Sale (consisting of stuff like menswear, lingerie, toys, video games, food, etc). Unfortunately, none of the books or goodies seem to catch my interest. Oh, and there was also an all-new Subway outlet at the entrance of Hall 6.

Host for the Home & Design exhibition was veteran actress-cum-getai singer Lin Ru Ping. Special guest appearance by Henry Thia aka Alamak, who played Ru Ping's husband in "Money No Enough 2". Joanne came at 3 plus, talked a bit about her latest happenings, went to take a look at her dream home showcase, and left the place at 4.45 pm. I noticed Benedict Goh among the audience too.

Sighhh, this is what happens when there's security or escorts in a home exhibition... most fans were deprived of the chance to get autographs or take pics with the artiste involved in said event. I admit I was a little bummed out when Joanne had to follow some of the home n design personnel to who-knows-where, but I told myself not to get too bitter over it. When it comes to getting autographs, there will be a next time. At least I'm glad that I managed to give Joanne the orange-flavored sweets I got from Thailand. :-)

Anyway, after Jo zoomed off, I went back home to have dinner with Mother and Tris. Ok, I'll let these few pics do the talking for now, while I recover from this moodiness resulted from the 'mission failure' earlier today, and prepare for the big assignment tomorrow.
