New Paper New Face 2008 finals

Happy Birthday to Tony Chimel, Tazz, Ishardi and Yanyan

I seriously couldn't sleep well last night, mostly cos I got to chat with Dawn Yeoh (without the worry of getting tongue-tied) after the New Paper New Face 2008 finals at Ngee Ann City. This time round, there were no Singapore Idol alumnus anywhere, but there were plenty of New Face alumnus (mostly from 2000-2007 era), Dawn included.

And the host for the night was... Chua Enlai?? Better known as Jacques Ooi or BB See. I forgot the names of the 2 female hosts, but I know that they are New Face alumnus. I prefer last year's host, Andrea Fonseka.

Oh, and Addy Lee was present too, as one of the judges. Same goes for model Sheila Sim, who's wearing a sexy bareback halter-top. I guess she's bringing SexyBack... :-p

Firstly I met up with Naomi outside Orchard Cineleisure and we had dinner at KFC. Then we headed to NAC, where we met up with Shanwei and Eric. I couldn't find Hoetian and his clique anywhere; later I found out that they had left halfway. Ahhh what a waste!! :-/

Basically anyone is allowed to enter the central region after 8 pm and stand/sit anywhere to watch the fashion parade. I immediately headed to the left side of the stage and got a good view of Dawn!! :-)

Ok, I think I better take back what i said... some of the gals actually look a lot better in person than in the dractic photo shoot. In fact, some of them wore super short pants or skirts, and I was on the verge of gorging my eyes out. Thank goodness I didn't purchase Spicy Drumlets, cos those babes were already sizzlin' hot!!! And I could've turned into Venom anytime... I could only stare in amazement and exclaim, 'Sexytime!!" :-p

And err, there was a band performance by West Grand Boulevard... performing 5 songs. I was glad I brought earplugs along, cos the drumming and electric guitar strumming were just too darn loud. I was never a big fan of heavy metal rock anyway... the lead singer must have been feeling too high, I feel. Swinging his head and flinging his Zach Efron-like hairdo like Paul Twohill or something.

Result time at 8.50 pm! Geraldine Chua, the only finalist I'm most familiar with (bcos she was a Singapore Idol season 2 semi-finalist) won Miss Versatile as well as a spot among the Top 5 girls to do a catwalk with some US model on Sunday; she also won 2nd runner-up. Sarah Chan, whose face totally CMI, won Miss Vivacious. The winner for Miss Elegant won 1st runner-up, her name is Stephanie Fu I think. And the winner is... contestant number 5, Shahirah Price. This gal quite chioh lah, can make it.

Right after the event ended, me and the others went straight to chit-chat with Dawn. And yep, we took pics with her! I then went to the backstage region to personally congratulate Geraldine for her win among Top 3 for New Face 2008, and after abt 2130 hrs, the four of us went back home... :-)

Ok, I better get ready to go for the "Be $avvy With Your $" seminar at the Swissotel... updates to come at another time, not necessarily tonight.

Dedication to 'Jingyi' and 'Haitong', hehe

Random news... Iron Man DVD and VCD are available in all CD stores already. Incredible Hulk DVD and VCD should be released anytime soon, most probably next week. I can't wait to purchase it... HULK RULES!!! :-)

And since yesterday was Nicky Bryne's birthday, and the Best of Westlife compilation is about to be launched towards the end of the year, I am gonna put another Westlife dedication, something I haven't been doing for some time. It wasn't easy for me to come up with a suitable one to dedicate to the 2 Princesses I am going to see within the next 3 days, esp since I had done such dedications many times within the past 2 years. Initially I wanted to dedicate "I Have A Dream", but that's more directed at the "Mamma Mia" film. Moreover, I realize that these 2 beauties, along with many other people (namely my friends and family), have one thing in common: they could be more than just... AMAZING :-)

AMAZING- Westlife

You’re like a storm against the window
Follow me round just like a shadow
I’ll swim a never-ending ocean
Until you bring back your devotion

It’s like I live a thousand lifetimes
Still looking for the one that feels right
See moving on just isn’t working
You lit the fire that I burn in

Chorus
And all I can do is protecting
A lie for the sake of my pride
While all the others had me thinking
We could be more than just amazing

I guess I’m holding on to my faith
A silent hope I’m heading your way
And crawling over is so tempting
We could be more than just amazing

Chorus

I couldn’t see it, I must have believed a lie
If I admit it, would you let me make it right
Amazing, amazing, amazing
Is it all gone...

Oh no... say no...

We could be more than just
We could be more than just amazing

And all I can do is protecting
A lie for the sake of my pride
While all the others had me thinking
We could be more than just amazing

And all I can do is protecting
A lie for the sake of my pride
While all the others had me thinking
Straight to the point of what I’m feeling
We could be more than just amazing

My thoughts on President's Star Charity and New paper New Face 2008

Happy Birthday to Nicky Bryne (Westlife) and Kendric Tan

Due to the F1 SingTel Grand Prix and other factors (namely the cancellation of future Ren Ci shows), this year's President Star Charity had been pushed to early October, and got less publicity as a result, compared to the last 2 year's PSC shows. And if there's one thing I'm not very happy about, it's gotta be the poster layout as seen in this week's copy of 8 days...

The biggest travesty has gotta be Jon Leong's image positioning in the ensemble... he is located at the very back row (behind 'Broadway Beng' Sebastian Tan's), and his face is barely visible under the poor contrast!! I felt that Jon's image (as well as Olinda's) should be placed within the same row as Taufik, Hady, Ping Hui, Fiona and Daren!! Jon and Oli are also rising stars, therefore they deserve much better positioning!! And poor Fathul of By Definition, his face is barely visible in the poster since it is located very near to the centrefold of the magazine.

I also feel that the poster design committee oughta be sued, cos the background color is totally salah for a supposedly jovial event like PSC!! With the background color being black in color, it only makes the poster look weirder, with the darkness mixing with the artistes' black hairdo... and that makes the heads of artistes like Jon, Hady, Fiona and Daren look even weirder!! What happened to the design team's sense of color theory and variety???

And to a lesser degree, I seriously think that Kym Ng's face should be placed BEHIND... not at the front most portion of the poster. matter of fact, I think she should switch places with Jon!! I feel she rather over-rated... and OLD. I heard she might already be in her 40s?

Tomorrow I will be going to Takashimaya Square/Ngee Ann City to watch the New Paper New Face 2008 finals, even though most of the girls totally cannot make it. I ain't even gonna place my bets on who's gonna win... I'm going there only to kill time and try my luck on spotting celebs...

OH WAIT!! I read from today's New Paper that there is indeed a celeb going there... 'JINGYI'!!! :-D

Random stuff once more

Happy Birthday to Mike "The Miz" Mizanin and Sherlyn

I seriously can't think of much to talk about, given my busy schedule at work. In spite of the assignment I had been taking rather long to finish, I still find time to check my Facebook account as well as update my blog. And indeed I do find time to express my thoughts on certain issues whenever I can...

Singapore’s Agri—Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) is more than halfway done with testing food samples for traces of the industrial plastic, melamine. Of the more than 2,200 samples, 1,450 have been tested. Moving forward, the AVA said it would expand its test on animal feed and pet food. Some pet owners may not be aware of this, but pet food such as doggie treats contain milk and some ingredients used are from China. While industry estimates put the proportion of China-made pet food at about 5 per cent of total market share, retailers whom Channel NewsAsia spoke with are not taking any chances. Even though the AVA has not issued any advisories on pet food, one company has stopped the import of a doggie treat that is manufactured with China-made milk. It estimates a five—figure sum loss but said it would rather play it safe.

Felix (the noisy one with scar on shoulder): Wah kau, even doggy food kena affected! Although I'm a cat, I do understand the situation for the dogs. Now I better look for my brother and ask him about the upcoming charity show...

Visuel (white cat blind in left eye): Have you heard about the aftermath of the milk scandal? Even though the nightmare is over, the food products still have to be tested for traces of melamine.
Francis (the quiet, slightly chubbier one): Yah lor, so suay hor? First the earthquakes, then the milk crisis, and what next? China sure got a rather bad year... never mind if there's the Beijing Olympics.

The DHL hot air balloon located at Bugis region had ended its 2-year run, sigh. Mostly because the crew couldnt find a new location, and also due to poor sales.

Cat from Bugis: Damn!! Just when I was planning to use my savings to take my family onto the balloon, it kena closed down. Oh well never mind, at least there's still the Singapore Flyer to look forward to... safer and cooler! :-)

Oh yes, for those who watched "Calefare" last night, you may have noticed me among the calefare at Sentosa. I was indeed one of the guys who charged towards Gurmit towards the end of the show at Siloso Beach and "jumped on top of him". Basically, the guys only jumped on top of each other. The scenes of the main cast and the calefare were actually filmed separately (by one-camera concept), and the whole scene was done in less than 2 hours. I admit my acting isn't very good, but when it comes to expressing anger, I imagined Gurms' character to be someone I despise, and when me and the other guys ran, it was between the Spartans and the Persians charging for battle, or a Battle Royale among wrestlers from Raw and Smackdown. Nothing to boast about really, but for those who SMSed me on my appearance in the show, I thank you sincerely from the bottom of my heart. :-)

Do watch out for Episode 12 of "Calefare" in 3 weeks time, I will be featured more prominently. And it's gonna be a very funny one!! ;-p

Sean Koh, you are so F'ING SCREWED!!

I am getting very angry right now. Firstly ecause some bloody idiot insulted me in Felicia's old blog tagboard, and secondly because Mr Kiam Pa had to rub it in!!! This was what he wrote in his latest entry...

This DISGUSTING, FAT, UGLY AND STUPID DONKEY has never been true to anyone including to all the artistes. The artistes fully understand what kind of person he is as well. He have been stalking each and every single artistes in mediacorp to the extent of the artistes dislike him. They have got no choice but to put on a false front to be nice to him, in their heart, they dislike him. As a public figure they have to be nice to people, thats why.
Do you have any proof on that??? What do you mean by I 'have never been true to anyone including the artistes'??? Why are you always calling me a donkey when you yourself are a certified jackass??? And how do you know that I have been 'stalking each and every artiste in Mediacorp'??? YOU are the one who had been doing so, more often tahn anyone else... matter of fact, I haven't been to Caldecott Broadcast Center for 2 months already!!!

Talking about this attention seeker donkey who never fail to seek my full attention but always didn't manage to get it. He is always wearing same old clothes everytime he go stalk the artistes. He doesn't have a good image because he is too ugly already. Fat like him will only make people feel gross, look at the fats and it makes people puke. Stupid, to the extent of leading a poor lifestyle and i pity him lah no money to spend, need to beg. Overall too gross already YUCKS!
I know I am fat, I don't deny that at all, and I'm trying to lose some weight as of late. And what the hell do you mean by "I wear the same old clothes"??? I did buy new clothes recently, but unlike you, I don't have to show them off to everyone!! I concur that you are a 'sexy beast', but you fail to see that your heart is so black, filled with corruption and filth!!! Your disgusting, arrogant, abominable and lustful mind totally disgusts me, and that's a fact!!! AND YOU ARE REALLY THE STUPID ONE, WASTING YOUR TIME ON USELESS STUFF!!! I AM WORKING RIGHT NOW, GEDDIT!!!!

What goes around comes around. That Donkey will get his retribution sooner or later. I always believe that KARMA does exist and its just the matter of time. Nah im feeling so happy lah, don't think that i am sad because i will never be sad nor angry about that donkey. Its just train of thoughts i am having lah!
You make me angry all the time, Sean Koh!! You dare to say that I am an attention seeker??? WHAT ABOUT YOURSELF?!?! Have you ever done some self-reflection on yourself and realized where you went wrong??? YOU HAVE NO LIFE AT ALL!!!

And to that bloody idiot who called himself ":)(:" and dared to insult me in Felicia's tagboard with that super long message, are you happy now??? You can go FUCK YOURSELF!!! I am going to give you the "Go-To-Sleep"!!!

That's it man!! I am going to start the bookings for Mr Kiam Pa's wrestling journey in Smackdown vs Raw 2007 very very soon!!! Let me decide who his first opponent shall be... (evil smirk)

My WWE Figure Collection

Happy Birthday to Terry "Rhino" Gerin, Chia Aik Lin, Tan Liping and Jerrald Yeo

As promised, here are pictures of some of the WWE figures that I have... I still got a few more wrestling figures other than these, but for now I'm showing you the Superstars who are in the current roster.

The Big Red Monster... KANE!! I bought this for myself on my 21st birthday back in 2004. There is indeed a strong resemblance between the figure and Glen Jacobs. I used black marker to draw a glove and wristband for Kane; the elbow pads were taken from another wrestling figure (not featured in this lineup). Kane came with a shovel, but I didn't make use of that so often. I brought it along during the Smackdown/ECW Tour at the Indoor Stadium last year, where Kane was among the wrestlers who were part of the show.

The Undertaker, Big Evil Biker persona (2002-2003). One of my army friends bought this for me as an advanced 21st birthday gift, about a week before I bought the Kane figure. It was actually a bootleg figure sold in Comics Connection, but I didn't mind at all. I used marker to draw tattoos on the figure's arms and chest, and even the word "SARA" on his neck (it's a shame that he got it removed recently). And it's rather hard to get the current Phenom version of Mark Callaway.

The Animal, BATISTA!!! I bought this guy in mid June, hours before I went to see Felicia at Bugis Junction, and a day before I went for a holiday in Thailand. I chose this one out of a few variations of Batistas (but I never expected him to go botak again soon after, arghhh). Yeah, and I find it hard to believe that Dave Batista's already a grandfather at 39 years old (his older daughter having given birth to twin boys earlier this year). Good life to be a young Ah Gong!! :-p

The Marine... JOHN CENA!!! I bought him along with Batista. It's a pity that his mouth can't close. There were other versions of Cena at Chinatown, but I liked this the most. He looks better in green pants than in blue pants IMO... looking forward to his return at the 2008 Survivor Series.

The Game... TRIPLE H!!! I bought him from Robo Robo nearly 2 weeks ago. I used black marker to color his elbows to serve as elbow pads. It seems that Paul Levesque can't do the Pedigree properly, given his rather huge thighs. Also, his left foot seemed rather loose...

And last but not least, the Heartbreak Kid, SHAWN MICHAELS!! This is the one I bought from Robo Robo just a few days ago. I actually wanted to get a HBK toy in black trousers with red and white linings, but it seemed that it was for display purpose only. So I decided to buy this figure at the main store instead (one with Christian motifs on his pants). Only setback is, Michael Hickenbottom's right arm seems a bit loose, so I have to take extra caution when handling HBK. It's a pity he didn't win the World Title at No Mercy, but I believe there will be a next time...

It's D-Generation X!! Break it down!!

Triple H: Are you ready? No!! I said, ARE YOU READY??? Then for the thousands in attendance... and the millions watching at home... and also for that despicable fella named Sean Koh who can't get enough of boasting about his belongings and achievements, and also for the WWE fans who want to see that boy get his butt kicked. Lllllll.... let's get ready to suck it!!

Shawn Michaels: And if you or anyone out there ain't down with that, then we've got TWO WORDS for ya... (SUCK IT!!)

Batista and Cena were the final 2 of the 2005 Royal Rumble... they would go on to become first-time Champions for their respective brands at WrestleMania 21, then get drafted to the other's brand (Cena to Raw, Batista to Smackdown) a few months later, meet up in interpromotional tag team matches, and eventually go one-on-one at Summerslam 2008.

Behold the Brothers of Destruction!! Established since 1998... Undertaker and Kane are top-billing Superstars of their own rights. Bet some of you didn't know that Undertaker first faced Kane in the 1997 Royal Rumble, back when the latter was known as the Fake Diesel.

So there you have it... 6 A-list Superstars, all former World Champions... 5 of them being Royal Rumble winners. The miniature title belts were bought alongside the HBK figure. While Kane isn't a Royal Rumble winner, he did win the ECW Battle Royale, and went on to defeat Chavo Guerrero to become ECW Champion at WrestleMania XXIV.
  • Batista, Royal Rumble 2005 winner, 3-time former World Heavyweight Champion.
  • John Cena, Royal Rumble 2008 winner, 3-time former WWE Champion.
  • Kane, ECW Battle Royale winner, former WWE Champion, former ECW Champion.
  • Shawn Michaels, Royal Rumble 1995 and 1996 winner, 3-time former WWE Champion, former World Heavyweight Champion.
  • Triple H, Royal Rumble 2002 winner, 7-time WWE Champion, 5-time former World Heavyweight Champion.
  • The Undertaker, Royal Rumble 2007 winner, 4-time former WWE Champion, 2-time former World Heavyweight Champion.

Knowing about yourself by reading a certain book...

Happy Birthday to Terence Cao, Manu (from WWE), Seng Kwann and Xueting

I read this particular section in Our Daily Bread, and found it to be rather meaningful. Thus I am going to take this time to share it with everyone here...

The Bible is the all-time bestselling book, but in some parts of the world it is banned because it is considered "dangerous and unorthodox". The Bible is dangerous, however, only to those who are afraid of finding out where they went wrong. It's dangerous to those who exploit the weak and the inncoent, who use force to keep others enslaved in poverty and ignorance, who don't want to give up their sinful ways, and who believe that "salvation can be found apart from Christ" (which is not true at all).

No one wants to be told they are wrong (sad but true). No one wants to hear that their behavior is putting themselves and their loved ones in danger, or that God's patience will eventually wear out. Yet that was the message God told the prophet Jeremiah to write down (Jeremiah 36:2)... "Take a scroll and write on it all the words I have spoken to you... Perhaps when the people of Judah hear about every disaster I plan to inflict on them, everyone will turn from his eveil way, that i may forgive their wickedness and sin."

When His message was read to King Jehoiakim, the king simply cut up the scroll and threw into the fire (verses 23). The king simply showed no fear and would not listen to the pleas from the advisors to refrain from burning the scroll; instead, he ordered for the arrest of Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah (verses 24 to 26). Yet Jeremiah didn't give up, he sent a few more scrolls to King Jehoiakim and continued to trust in the Lord, even at the expense of being thrown into jail.

The only way to know we are right is to be willing to discover where we are wrong. Read the all-time bestselling "banned book", and let it reveal to you the truth about God- and about yourself.

P.S. CAN YOU DIG THAT, MKP/KOH TS??? Only YOU can change yourself for the better if you are willing to do some self-reflection and realize the errors of your ways. Who the f**k are you to say that others have 'no life' when you yourself have NO LIFE at all?? I know too well that you're going to delete (or should I say, 'cut up and burn'?) the next comment I'm planning to drop in any of your Youtube videos, that's why I've decided to make this message much more direct by publishing it here, even though I sense that you're not gonna read it anyway. However, if you're going to turn a deaf ear on this advice and continue to be the abominable, despicable S.O.B. that you've always been... then I'm sorry to say, you might just as well GTH. IT'S FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!!!

My predictions for No Mercy 2008

Happy Birthday to William Chin and Serene

The main poster for No Mercy 2008 looks rather monotonous, much like the Unforgiven 2008 poster (the one with Batista yelling in anger). Even the font for the date of the PPV event looks rather terrible. What happened to the design team's sense of proper layout, color consistency and variety? I would appreciate it if more color were featured on the poster, not just black, white or grey. Never mind if Jeff Hardy is featured in it...

Ladder match for the World Heavyweight Championship- Chris Jericho (c) vs Shawn Michaels
Jericho had become a totally different person in recent months after his return late last year, and had lost the respect of many fans with his repeated assaults on Shawn Michaels and his wife. Just when everyone thought that Y2J had gotten his just desserts after the Unsanctioned Match, he shocked the world by replacing an injured CM Punk in the Championship Scramble and going on to win the World Title at Unforgiven. Even so, his shocking win only further intensified the hatred from the detractors. And can someone tell Y2J that he looks freakin gay in his new underwear attire? As for HBK, he has not held a World title since 2002, and my only request, should HBK win the title again, is that the title reign lasts for 3 to 4 mths at the most. (provided the WWE scriptwriters even allow HBK to become World Champ again in first place)

WWE Championship match- Triple H (c) vs Jeff Hardy
I don't know what you guys think, but Jeff Hardy seems a bit over-rated to me. He's not exactly a good wrestler and all he knows is fly around, put his body at risk and perform stunts. Then again, the Cerebral Assassin had also been labelled as 'over-rated', way back since 2003 (with a 9-mth reign as World Champ, and winning the title for 3 more times). But since Triple H is one of the top players of the WWE and has been a 12-time world champ, I feel it's about time that the Xtreme High-Flyer be given his due. So long as that Russian bear known as Vladimir Koslov doesn't poke his nose in their business...

ECW Championship match- Matt Hardy (c) vs Mark Henry
Matt Hardy had come a long way to win this title (never mind if its prestige value isn't equal to that of the World Title or WWE Title), and he will certainly retain the title, that's for sure!! And I'm not even gonna talk about the World's Sweatiest Man.

Match for No. 1 contender for World Title- Batista vs JBL
The Animal will win this one, I guarantee it!! JBL is still a boring piece of trash. Who can ever forget the time when the self proclaimed Wrestling God held the WWE Title for 10 months??

Women's Championship match- Beth Phoenix vs Candice Michelle
Former Playboy covergirl Candice Michelle makes a return after months of absence due to a clavicle injury caused by the Glamazon earlier this year. Although I'm not so enthusiastic towards woemn competition (save for bikini bashes, haha), I would like to see Miss Go-Daddy kick the Glamazon's @$$ bigtime.

The Undertaker vs The Big Show
The Big Show had gone rogue and allied himself with Vickie Guerrero at Unforgiven, by helping the Smackdown GM fend off The Undertaker, who was planning to "send her to hell". But even with Big Show being the Smackdown GM's latest protege, Vickie still fell victim to a Tombstone (her 2nd one btw) by the Phenom, and it seems like Big Show is the only one left. Big Show had been underused as of late ever since his return to the WWE early this year... his loss to Floyd Maywether at WrestleMania 24 could indeed be the biggest slap on the face of the World's Biggest Athlete, who is the only person to win the WWE Title, WCW Title and ECW Title. As for Undertaker, the "old dog" of the company, he is yearning for revenge onto Vickie for stripping him off the World Title and for temporarily banishing him from the WWE. Taker and Big Show have squared off before, and they even formed a brief alliance back in 1999, as the indestructible tag team known as "Armageddon". Question is... what will Taker do next after the PPV, now that he's destroyed Edge and Vickie? On a personal note, it's a shame that Taker no longer has the "Sara" tattoo on his neck since late last year, which could only mean one thing... he is divorced.

Kane vs Rey Mysterio
Given the fact that Kane had ripped off Rey's mask before (offscreen that is), it seems evident that Rey's dignity is going to be at stake. Kane had nearly suceeded in ripping Rey's mask off after a match, til Evan Bourne came to the rescue. Kane has gotten a much bigger advantage over the high-flyer in terms of strength and power. Despite being one of the smaller-sized male Superstars in the roster, Rey compensates with his agility, quick wits and daredevil stunts. Somehow I got a feeling that Rey may lose, considering that he was unmasked before in WCW... we all know what Rey looks like without the mask right? You can check out the videos on Youtube ;-)

I can't believe my luck... :-O

Am I dreaming? Til now, I still find it hard to believe that earlier today, I bumped into one of the Princesses... one whom I had last seen only weeks ago!!! :-O
You see, I first went to Chinatown to have lunch and then I went to China Square Central to look through some Power Ranger robots and some wrestling figures (among many other stuff). Then I took a bus to Exclusior Plaza and went straight into the Robo Robo store (a toy store selling Marvel figures, Star Wars toys, WWE figures, Power Ranger robots, Transformers, etc). My main purpose of going to China Square Central and Robo Robo was to buy a Shawn Michaels toy, having bought a Triple H toy from there a week before. I knew earlier that there were 3 more versions of Shawn Michaels at the other side of the basement, but I learnt from the shopkeepers that all the toys at the 'darkened sector' were for display purposes only and not for sale... so I resorted to buying the remaining HBK figure at the main shop, along with 2 mini World Title belts as a special treat. Stay tuned for pictures on the WWE figures... ;-)

After purchasing HBK, I decided to go to Funan Center at abt 4 pm to check out some new macintosh products at a computer hardware store known as Multimedia, and soon after I entered, I saw this very familiar-looking girl in long-sleeved striped shirt and jeans. I looked closely and immediately realized who it was!! My eyes nearly popped out and my mouth just opened in shock...
OH MY GOSH!!! IT IS!! IT IS!! IT REALLY IS...!!! :-O

(She really is this skinny in person, haiz.)

Although I was in danger of getting tongue-tied (given my weakness with pretty girls), I managed to 'muster the strength and courage' to call out her name rather weakly, and she responded in surprise! I was too shocked to even say Obi-Wan's classic phrase of "Hello there", cos i so totally didnt expect to see her again. Still I asked her, "Boy am I surprised to see you yet again... what are you doing here?" She told me that she was gonna buy a new computer along with her dad. Then I went to one corner and took a pic of her secretly with my camera phone. I got a feeling her dad might have seen that...
5 minutes later, Rui En bade me farewell and she left the place wif her dad (for the carpark, I presume), and my heart was still beating very quickly from all that excitement. One of the Multimedia personnel had to calm me down for a while, and so I told him that I last saw her a few weeks ago, and also that I had known her for years (really!). After which, I browsed through the various functions of the Macintosh notebook. After everything, I wen back home for dinner. Man had I not gone to Funan just now, I wouldve missed out on something great!!! What a stroke of luck... :-S

Obviously I opted not to take pic wif Rui En (altho I would very much like to) in due respect to her privacy, and also because her dad was around. Even if she were alone in a non-artiste rleated event, I still would choose not to take pic wif her, having learnt my lesson from that stupid incident with Felicia months ago. I want to make it clear that I am not a desperado or a paparazzi, and that there's always a next time when it comes to taking pic with her or anyone in general. And I'm afraid I can't show anyone of you the pic that I secretly took anywhere in the WWW, I hope you understand.

But one thing's for certain... Rui En sure brightened up my day!! And I thank God for it... yes, I did do the Shawn Michaels praise session more than once... not just in real life, but also for my PSP!! :-p

Non-happening weekend again...

Happy Birthday to...
3rd Oct (ytd)- John Morrison, Claire (Platinum), Jeszlene Zhou
4th Oct (tdy)- Mike Adamle

Yesterday during work, I had been mugging on a rather tough assignment, one which requires me to Google for over 1000 companies and locate the email addresses for some of them. Talk about tough searches... I obviously ain't gonna take up too much time on that during the weekends. I'm still contemplating where to go later... esp since there aren't any roadshows for the week (other than those at Suntec). And given the recent economy crash and other crises, it's no surprise that this year's President Star Charity show got very low publicity... and fewer stars involved as well.

On to Current Affairs... I feel a little disturbed over the suicide of a Korean actress named Choi Jin Shil, who had been suffering from depression following a bitter divorce from an abusive husband some 6 yrs ago. I felt even more disturbed over the suicide pact of a 15-yr old girl named Mernel Koh and her 22-yr-old 'godfather' Eddy Afendi, a close friend of her older brother. Wait a minute!! 7 years difference only, and the gal calls Eddy her 'godfather'?? So strange indeed. Cause of death is due to glue sniffing (harmful to the brain), both of them jumped off nine storeys of a block in Bukit Batok. What do we learn from here? Stay away from drugs, and cherish your own lives as you cherish everyone around you. And never take your own life for granted either.

Hmmm speaking about going under the influence of drugs, I suspect that a certain someone may have been sniffing glue or taking sedatives, hence his deteriorating mentality and IQ in recent weeks (muahaha). I don't take drugs btw, and no matter how others try to tempt me, I will never smoke.

I'm still pondering on which movie to watch first... "Painted Skin", "Connected" or "House Bunny"?
