Happy Birthday to Usher, Stacy Keibler and Edmund TwohillMy sincere apologies that this entry took rather long to be published... I had been overwhelmed with so much joy in regards to ytd's gathering, I simply lost some 'motivation' to type out my thoughts on the seminar; basicaly I had used up most of my energy during the gathering (in a good way that is). And as always, I have to choose the best pics to upload for this entry. But anyway, here goes...

Last Saturday, I left the house rather early to have lunch at Raffles City, then I went up to register for the seminar. I never thought I was among the first few in the queue... and I wasnt too pleased that the seminar would start at 2 pm (thank goodness I had eaten lunch prior to registering). Still, I was amazed by how huge the Stamford Ballroom was... and there were still some empty seats in the place. Everyone got a goody bag with a laptop cover, 2 notebooks, a folder containing print-outs for the seminar and a mousepad-cum-calculator.
The hosts for the event were Gurmit and Michelle Chong. Hey, it's the one-time reunion of Roy Terse and Adrianna Wow!! :-D

First part was the welcoming address by Mr Heng Swee Keat, Managing Director of Monetary Authority Singapore (MAS). Next was the Opening message by Mr Lim Swee Say, Secretary-General of NTUC. 4 personnel went forth to turn on the 'gigantic cellphone' and activate the Internet function to mark the offical start of the seminar.
Followed by a talk on "Being Savvy with Finances" by Mr Shannon Wong, Moneysense Speaker, CFP Certified Planner, Certified Public Accountant (CPA), FCCA.
Refreshment time from 3.15 to 4 pm... machiam long queue!! I only ate a bit, having eaten proper lunch prior to registartion. I was surprised to see Khai (assistant director of "Calefare") there... and even more surprised to see him with short hair!! I have to admit that it was kinda easy to recognize him, given his lanky frame and sexy lips... :-p
Next topic was on "Being Savvy with CPF Savings" by Ms Fiona Chan, Deputy Director (Membership Education Department) of the CPF Board.

Forum talk involving Mr Shannon Wong, Miss Fiona Chan, Mdm Halimah, 2 more guys whose names I forgot, Edmund Chen and Huang Biren. I totally forgot what they were saying, simply cos I was busy snapping pics away. But I do remember a bit on Gurms, Edmund and Biren relating on how they saved their money during the times prior to joining showbiz.
After the event ended at 5.25 pm, the fans went forward to get autographs from Edmund and Biren, as well as take picture with them.Upon leaving the Swissotel region, I went to buy takeaways for Tris and myself, headed back home and had a well-deserved rest. I ended the night by watching some Iron Man extras. :-)
Wah lau eh... I wanna cry already. :-((((Some person called me up a few minutes ago and instructed me, a mere minor who has worked in NLB for only a few weeks, to fetch some businessmen from Changi Airport and send them to a certain hotel, tomorrow after work. I was going, WHAT!!! ME OF ALL PEOPLE?!? I don't even know what to tell the guests... even worse, what if they are from China??? My command of Mandarin is way less than perfect. I would prefer it if a more experienced person were chosen. But since I was given this task, I know I cannot back out from it. Welcome to the real world. On the blight side, at least I get to do something resourceful, unlike some people who like to waste their money on branded stuff or try out different ways to gain more fame.
I can't seem to explain this sensation, but I'm currently feeling way too delighted from the Felicia gathering... in fact, I think I'm gonna dedicate another song to her... :-) Back by popular demand, I bring to you one of the more popular songs from Westlife's second album "Coast To Coast"...I Lay Your Love On You- WestlifeJust a smile and the rain is gone
Can hardly believe it, yeah
There's an angel standing next to me
Reaching for my heart
Just a smile and there's no way back
Can hardly believe it (yeah)
There's an angel calling me
Reaching for my heart.(I) know that I'll be ok now, this time it's realI lay my love on you, it's all I wanna do
Every time I breathe I feel brand new
You open up my heart, show me all your love
And walk right through... as I lay my love on you.
I was lost in a lonely place
Could hardly believe it (yeah)
Holding on to yesterdays far, far too long
(Now) I believe it's ok cos this time it's real
I lay my love on you, it's all I wanna do
Every time I breathe I feel brand new
You open up my heart, show me all your love
And walk right through (oh yeah)
As I lay my love on you
I never knew that love could feel so goodOoooooooh (aaaaaaaah)Like once in a lifetime you changed my world
I lay my love on you, you make me feel brand new
Show me your love and walk right through, oh yeahAs I lay my love on youI lay my love on you, it's all I wanna do
Every time I breathe I feel brand new (feel brand new)
You open up my heart, show me all your love and walk right through...
As I lay my love, I lay my love on you... (lay my love on you)
I lay my love on you (oh) You make me feel brand new
You open up my heart, show me all your love
And walk right through (oh yeah)
As I lay my love on you...
As I lay my love on you
Happy Birthday to Ashrudin, Aziz and AudreyI was one of over 20 fans who went for the Felicity membership drive-cum-advanced birthday gathering earlier today, and it was truly a memorable one!! I express my heartfelt thanks to the Felicity team and to the staff of SettlersCafe for making this gathering possible admist Fel's hectic schedule. I was actually relieved to have given up my PSC ticket earlier on, just so I could enjoy this gathering wholeheartedly. I personally wouldnt like to rush off to MDC halfway through, esp since nobody was allowed to leave the place...Firstly to start off, I went for church service with Mother and Tris. After service ended, we went to Funan Center for early lunch... and then went to look around some mulitmedia stores. It was there that I discovered that the Incredible Hulk VCDs are out already!! The DVDs were nowhere to be seen though... perhaps they will come out within the next few days.

Having nowhere else to go, I decided to go to Central first... walk around, take some photos, sit down at bus stop, listen to music and wait for friends outside Clarke Quay MRT station. Us fans were allowed entry into the 2nd level of the cafe at approx 1435 hrs, and once inside, we were split into 3 teams and we started playing various games. For Team 3 (the one I'm allocated in), we played Jurassic Jumble, a game involving dinosaurs and colors. Ahhh yessss, I like dinosaurs... esp the T-Rex. :-) Fel arrived a little late at abt 1515 hrs, she apologised for coming late, but we all took it well. She explained that she went to Central for a while to buy some stuff. We then played some charades-type of game for abt one hour or so; photography was prohibited during this time. We all enjoyed ourselves... although I didn't get tongue-tied, I got goosebumps and my legs went jelly for a while cos Fel sat next to me for a few minutes at one point during game time!! :-O No wonder I found it rather hard to get up after that. I did tell Fel that I had been to the place before...

Later at 1645 hrs, after game session had ended, we were allowed to take out our cameras and start taking pictures already... we sang a birthday song for Fel, and then we gathered for group photos (fyi her actual birthday is on 24th Oct). There was enough time for each one of us to present our gifts plus mini-projects to Felicia, take picture with her, and then get her autographs on various photos or magazines. I bought for Fel something small and simple (no point buying her another soft toy since I already did so in May), and I soon realized that I had gained some 'extent of contol' over my weakness with pretty gals!! But I still felt a little shy when it was my turn to chat with Fel... at least my legs didnt go wobbly like before, heh! :-p

There was a slight overrun of 30 minutes, but nevertheless everyone was cooperative at best. Team 2 had to do a penalty because they got the lowest points. At 6 pm, Fel had to leave the place quickly and hitch a ride to MediaCorp studios for filming for "Love Blossoms 2" (prior, to that, she was filming "The Little Nyonya"). Abt 5 minutes later, we all left the place and went our separate routes. These photos were taken by myself btw... if you wanna see more pics, please go to the Felicity Forum at www.chenjingxuan.net/forum... provided you are a member of the forum in first place. For dinner, I went to good ol' VivoCity to have my dinner at Superdog, then went to various CD stores to look for Hulk DVDs, to no avail. I did see a lot of leggy babes within the place though. After which, I went back home to watch President Star Charity... and I was right about the show: it was rather dull compared to last year's ensemble. Only President Nathan's stint did some justice... one of 100% pure sincerity, humility and appreciation, and 0% of over-rated standard or stuntmanship (sorry, Venerable Shi).Once again, many many thanks to the Felicity team for making this gathering a truly memorable one for everyone of us... and many thanks to you too, Felicia... for being you :-)And one more thing I wanna tell a few people... for the last time, my name is pronounced as TAH-NUT, NOT TAH-NETT!!! Have you heard of the Bayern Munich player Michael Tarnat??? You be glad I'm not the angry, erratic type like Bruce Banner... please don't ever mistake the pronunciation for the last syllable of my name as Nat. It's driving me to my wits' end already!!! At least none of you called me by my middle name, which I despise. So remember... IT'S TAH-NUTT, NOT TAH-NET OR TEN-NET OR TEN-NUT!!!
Happy Birthday to Tony Chimel, Tazz, Ishardi and YanyanI seriously couldn't sleep well last night, mostly cos I got to chat with Dawn Yeoh (without the worry of getting tongue-tied) after the New Paper New Face 2008 finals at Ngee Ann City. This time round, there were no Singapore Idol alumnus anywhere, but there were plenty of New Face alumnus (mostly from 2000-2007 era), Dawn included.
And the host for the night was... Chua Enlai?? Better known as Jacques Ooi or BB See. I forgot the names of the 2 female hosts, but I know that they are New Face alumnus. I prefer last year's host, Andrea Fonseka.
Oh, and Addy Lee was present too, as one of the judges. Same goes for model Sheila Sim, who's wearing a sexy bareback halter-top. I guess she's bringing SexyBack... :-pFirstly I met up with Naomi outside Orchard Cineleisure and we had dinner at KFC. Then we headed to NAC, where we met up with Shanwei and Eric. I couldn't find Hoetian and his clique anywhere; later I found out that they had left halfway. Ahhh what a waste!! :-/

Basically anyone is allowed to enter the central region after 8 pm and stand/sit anywhere to watch the fashion parade. I immediately headed to the left side of the stage and got a good view of Dawn!! :-)

Ok, I think I better take back what i said... some of the gals actually look a lot better in person than in the dractic photo shoot. In fact, some of them wore super short pants or skirts, and I was on the verge of gorging my eyes out. Thank goodness I didn't purchase Spicy Drumlets, cos those babes were already sizzlin' hot!!! And I could've turned into Venom anytime... I could only stare in amazement and exclaim, 'Sexytime!!" :-p

And err, there was a band performance by West Grand Boulevard... performing 5 songs. I was glad I brought earplugs along, cos the drumming and electric guitar strumming were just too darn loud. I was never a big fan of heavy metal rock anyway... the lead singer must have been feeling too high, I feel. Swinging his head and flinging his Zach Efron-like hairdo like Paul Twohill or something.

Result time at 8.50 pm! Geraldine Chua, the only finalist I'm most familiar with (bcos she was a Singapore Idol season 2 semi-finalist) won Miss Versatile as well as a spot among the Top 5 girls to do a catwalk with some US model on Sunday; she also won 2nd runner-up. Sarah Chan, whose face totally CMI, won Miss Vivacious. The winner for Miss Elegant won 1st runner-up, her name is Stephanie Fu I think. And the winner is... contestant number 5, Shahirah Price. This gal quite chioh lah, can make it.
Right after the event ended, me and the others went straight to chit-chat with Dawn. And yep, we took pics with her! I then went to the backstage region to personally congratulate Geraldine for her win among Top 3 for New Face 2008, and after abt 2130 hrs, the four of us went back home... :-)Ok, I better get ready to go for the "Be $avvy With Your $" seminar at the Swissotel... updates to come at another time, not necessarily tonight.
Random news... Iron Man DVD and VCD are available in all CD stores already. Incredible Hulk DVD and VCD should be released anytime soon, most probably next week. I can't wait to purchase it... HULK RULES!!! :-)And since yesterday was Nicky Bryne's birthday, and the Best of Westlife compilation is about to be launched towards the end of the year, I am gonna put another Westlife dedication, something I haven't been doing for some time. It wasn't easy for me to come up with a suitable one to dedicate to the 2 Princesses I am going to see within the next 3 days, esp since I had done such dedications many times within the past 2 years. Initially I wanted to dedicate "I Have A Dream", but that's more directed at the "Mamma Mia" film. Moreover, I realize that these 2 beauties, along with many other people (namely my friends and family), have one thing in common: they could be more than just... AMAZING :-)AMAZING- WestlifeYou’re like a storm against the windowFollow me round just like a shadowI’ll swim a never-ending oceanUntil you bring back your devotionIt’s like I live a thousand lifetimesStill looking for the one that feels rightSee moving on just isn’t workingYou lit the fire that I burn inChorusAnd all I can do is protectingA lie for the sake of my prideWhile all the others had me thinkingWe could be more than just amazingI guess I’m holding on to my faithA silent hope I’m heading your wayAnd crawling over is so temptingWe could be more than just amazingChorusI couldn’t see it, I must have believed a lieIf I admit it, would you let me make it rightAmazing, amazing, amazingIs it all gone...Oh no... say no...We could be more than justWe could be more than just amazingAnd all I can do is protectingA lie for the sake of my prideWhile all the others had me thinkingWe could be more than just amazingAnd all I can do is protectingA lie for the sake of my prideWhile all the others had me thinkingStraight to the point of what I’m feeling We could be more than just amazing
Happy Birthday to Nicky Bryne (Westlife) and Kendric Tan
Due to the F1 SingTel Grand Prix and other factors (namely the cancellation of future Ren Ci shows), this year's President Star Charity had been pushed to early October, and got less publicity as a result, compared to the last 2 year's PSC shows. And if there's one thing I'm not very happy about, it's gotta be the poster layout as seen in this week's copy of 8 days...The biggest travesty has gotta be Jon Leong's image positioning in the ensemble... he is located at the very back row (behind 'Broadway Beng' Sebastian Tan's), and his face is barely visible under the poor contrast!! I felt that Jon's image (as well as Olinda's) should be placed within the same row as Taufik, Hady, Ping Hui, Fiona and Daren!! Jon and Oli are also rising stars, therefore they deserve much better positioning!! And poor Fathul of By Definition, his face is barely visible in the poster since it is located very near to the centrefold of the magazine. I also feel that the poster design committee oughta be sued, cos the background color is totally salah for a supposedly jovial event like PSC!! With the background color being black in color, it only makes the poster look weirder, with the darkness mixing with the artistes' black hairdo... and that makes the heads of artistes like Jon, Hady, Fiona and Daren look even weirder!! What happened to the design team's sense of color theory and variety??? And to a lesser degree, I seriously think that Kym Ng's face should be placed BEHIND... not at the front most portion of the poster. matter of fact, I think she should switch places with Jon!! I feel she rather over-rated... and OLD. I heard she might already be in her 40s?Tomorrow I will be going to Takashimaya Square/Ngee Ann City to watch the New Paper New Face 2008 finals, even though most of the girls totally cannot make it. I ain't even gonna place my bets on who's gonna win... I'm going there only to kill time and try my luck on spotting celebs...OH WAIT!! I read from today's New Paper that there is indeed a celeb going there... 'JINGYI'!!! :-D
Happy Birthday to Mike "The Miz" Mizanin and SherlynI seriously can't think of much to talk about, given my busy schedule at work. In spite of the assignment I had been taking rather long to finish, I still find time to check my Facebook account as well as update my blog. And indeed I do find time to express my thoughts on certain issues whenever I can...Singapore’s Agri—Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) is more than halfway done with testing food samples for traces of the industrial plastic, melamine. Of the more than 2,200 samples, 1,450 have been tested. Moving forward, the AVA said it would expand its test on animal feed and pet food. Some pet owners may not be aware of this, but pet food such as doggie treats contain milk and some ingredients used are from China. While industry estimates put the proportion of China-made pet food at about 5 per cent of total market share, retailers whom Channel NewsAsia spoke with are not taking any chances. Even though the AVA has not issued any advisories on pet food, one company has stopped the import of a doggie treat that is manufactured with China-made milk. It estimates a five—figure sum loss but said it would rather play it safe.
Felix (the noisy one with scar on shoulder): Wah kau, even doggy food kena affected! Although I'm a cat, I do understand the situation for the dogs. Now I better look for my brother and ask him about the upcoming charity show...
Visuel (white cat blind in left eye): Have you heard about the aftermath of the milk scandal? Even though the nightmare is over, the food products still have to be tested for traces of melamine.
Francis (the quiet, slightly chubbier one): Yah lor, so suay hor? First the earthquakes, then the milk crisis, and what next? China sure got a rather bad year... never mind if there's the Beijing Olympics.
The DHL hot air balloon located at Bugis region had ended its 2-year run, sigh. Mostly because the crew couldnt find a new location, and also due to poor sales.
Cat from Bugis: Damn!! Just when I was planning to use my savings to take my family onto the balloon, it kena closed down. Oh well never mind, at least there's still the Singapore Flyer to look forward to... safer and cooler! :-)Oh yes, for those who watched "Calefare" last night, you may have noticed me among the calefare at Sentosa. I was indeed one of the guys who charged towards Gurmit towards the end of the show at Siloso Beach and "jumped on top of him". Basically, the guys only jumped on top of each other. The scenes of the main cast and the calefare were actually filmed separately (by one-camera concept), and the whole scene was done in less than 2 hours. I admit my acting isn't very good, but when it comes to expressing anger, I imagined Gurms' character to be someone I despise, and when me and the other guys ran, it was between the Spartans and the Persians charging for battle, or a Battle Royale among wrestlers from Raw and Smackdown. Nothing to boast about really, but for those who SMSed me on my appearance in the show, I thank you sincerely from the bottom of my heart. :-)Do watch out for Episode 12 of "Calefare" in 3 weeks time, I will be featured more prominently. And it's gonna be a very funny one!! ;-p
I am getting very angry right now. Firstly ecause some bloody idiot insulted me in Felicia's old blog tagboard, and secondly because Mr Kiam Pa had to rub it in!!! This was what he wrote in his latest entry...This DISGUSTING, FAT, UGLY AND STUPID DONKEY has never been true to anyone including to all the artistes. The artistes fully understand what kind of person he is as well. He have been stalking each and every single artistes in mediacorp to the extent of the artistes dislike him. They have got no choice but to put on a false front to be nice to him, in their heart, they dislike him. As a public figure they have to be nice to people, thats why.Do you have any proof on that??? What do you mean by I 'have never been true to anyone including the artistes'??? Why are you always calling me a donkey when you yourself are a certified jackass??? And how do you know that I have been 'stalking each and every artiste in Mediacorp'??? YOU are the one who had been doing so, more often tahn anyone else... matter of fact, I haven't been to Caldecott Broadcast Center for 2 months already!!! Talking about this attention seeker donkey who never fail to seek my full attention but always didn't manage to get it. He is always wearing same old clothes everytime he go stalk the artistes. He doesn't have a good image because he is too ugly already. Fat like him will only make people feel gross, look at the fats and it makes people puke. Stupid, to the extent of leading a poor lifestyle and i pity him lah no money to spend, need to beg. Overall too gross already YUCKS!I know I am fat, I don't deny that at all, and I'm trying to lose some weight as of late. And what the hell do you mean by "I wear the same old clothes"??? I did buy new clothes recently, but unlike you, I don't have to show them off to everyone!! I concur that you are a 'sexy beast', but you fail to see that your heart is so black, filled with corruption and filth!!! Your disgusting, arrogant, abominable and lustful mind totally disgusts me, and that's a fact!!! AND YOU ARE REALLY THE STUPID ONE, WASTING YOUR TIME ON USELESS STUFF!!! I AM WORKING RIGHT NOW, GEDDIT!!!! What goes around comes around. That Donkey will get his retribution sooner or later. I always believe that KARMA does exist and its just the matter of time. Nah im feeling so happy lah, don't think that i am sad because i will never be sad nor angry about that donkey. Its just train of thoughts i am having lah!You make me angry all the time, Sean Koh!! You dare to say that I am an attention seeker??? WHAT ABOUT YOURSELF?!?! Have you ever done some self-reflection on yourself and realized where you went wrong??? YOU HAVE NO LIFE AT ALL!!! And to that bloody idiot who called himself ":)(:" and dared to insult me in Felicia's tagboard with that super long message, are you happy now??? You can go FUCK YOURSELF!!! I am going to give you the "Go-To-Sleep"!!!That's it man!! I am going to start the bookings for Mr Kiam Pa's wrestling journey in Smackdown vs Raw 2007 very very soon!!! Let me decide who his first opponent shall be... (evil smirk)
