Travel Fiesta Day 1: Daren Tan

To start off Saturday, I went to Suntec Convention to see Daren Tan perform at 3.30 pm. He sang "Bu Xu Li Yu" and some English song titled "Because Of You" (not the one sung by Kelly Clarkson). After he was done with the performances and rather lengthy talk, some fans went forward to either take pic with him or get his autograph. I managed to get Daren's autograph on the photo of him from last year's Travel Fiesta... couldnt take pic with him but thats alright, cos I know there'll still be a next time. After that, I took bus to next destination at Takashimaya (Ngee Ann City) for IZU evet. To be continued in next entry... Aaron Kwok meet-n-greet session at Iluma

Happy Birthday to...
April 17th- Jaime Teo, Sidik and Joshua Kim
April 18th- Imelda and Grace

Last night after animation class ended a little early at 6, I headed off to Iluma (the new building opposite Bugis Junction) to see the dashing and charismatic Aaron Kwok (or Kwok Hock Cheng in dialect form) in preson. Much to my surprise, there were about 50 fans present at that time... most of them in their 20s to 40s (only the first 200 fans with tickets are entitled to get autograph from Aaron). Audrey, Bee and Anna reached the place a little earlier than me, they were among the first 20 fans. The crowd started building up only after 7 pm... indeed the response was overwhelming but thankfully, it wasn't as chaotic as I had thought, not like the response for the Little Nyonya roadshow at Compass Point last Dec. There was a decent number of fans viewing from second level as well... event was hosted by some deejay named Lin Zhi. Aaron arrived a little late at 8.15 pm, and he was out of the place before 9 pm. Ok, I'll let the pics do the talking... :-)

Some Maya stuff I made

Happy Birthday to Dannis and Peiling Chua

Here are some of the files I made via Maya 8.5 software last week...

Ancient Greek Temple. I basically made numerous duplicates of the pillars.

Table tennis set, as seen in the local drama "Table of Glory". :-)

Pool table complete wth blinn surfaces on the balls and texturing on the table. Makes me wanna play a game of billards again sometime soon... my skills getting kinda rusty.

P.S. Thank God that I was at home last night instead of at the MDC theater... my worst fears have come true, history has indeed repeated itself. To be brutally honest, I was expecting either Jiamin or Ai Jia to win. That is all I have to say abt Campus Superstar 3 finals. (hate comments will not be entertained here!!)

Campus Superstar finals tonight!

Ok ok, I know this sounds kinda cheesy, but to be honest, I am indeed quite hooked to this show. Sad that this is going to be the last CSS season, and there may not be another Project Superstar or SuperBand in the future. For the record, I will be watching this at home.

The fatal 4-way showdown comprise of Jiamin vs Ai Jia vs Jarod vs Joselin. 70% of the overall score based on 8 judges, 30% based on public voting.
