A wild time at MJ Tribute on Wed night

This happened on Wednesday night...

After knocking off from work at 7 pm, I took a bus to
Clarke Quay region... by the time I reached Block C Cannery at 7.30 pm, I saw a rather long queue (approx 300 people), but joined in nevertheless. My main purpose of going for the tribute party (one of about 5 tribute shows in this week) was never to get the exclusive poster (I already got plenty of MJ pics), but to simply be part of the party!! :-)

Yeah anyway, admission for the Black or White Tribute show at ZIRCA is 100% free for everyone aged 18 and above, even those who may not be dressed in black or white. The moment I got into the place, "In The Closet" was being played in full-blast. This is the list of songs played between 2045 to 2130 hrs...

- In The Closet (from Dangerous)
- Another Part of Me (from Bad)
- P.Y.T. (from Thrller)

- Wanna Be Starting Something (from Thriller)
- State of Shock (from Victory)

- Ben (from Forever Michael)
- Got To Be There (from album of same name)
- Can You Feel It (from Triumph)
- The Girl Is Mine (from Thriller)
- You Rock My World (from Invincible)
- Dangerous (from Dangerous, duh!)

- Rock With You (from Off The Wall)

Brian Richmond aka George Pereira was the one to kick off the event. When he talked about the Jackson 5 hits, he sounded like he was in character as George Pereira on Red Thread!! :-p

Performances by local band Yello Tinted... with appearances by Wynne Sandoshjam, Vanessa Fernandez and DJ Young Leong. Oh yeah, did I forget to tell you that the female lead singer looked a lot like Janet Jackson? :-)
- You Are Not Alone featuring Wynne Sandosham
- Man In The Mirror
featuring Wynne Sandosham
- The Way You Make Me Feel
- Wanna Be Starting Something
- Don't Stp Til You Get Enough
- Smooth Criminal
- Say Say Say
- Black or White featuring Vanessa Fernandez

Music videos presented by Audrey Ng and Clarissa Monteiro were as follows...

- the full 13-minute Thriller music video directed by John Landis

- the iconic Beat It video made in 1983

- the Bad music video made in 1987... MJ's face-off with then-unknown Wesley Snipes

- MJ's unforgettable Billie Jean performance during Motown 25 on March 1983... yes, the one where he did the moonwalk for the very first time!! :-D

And yes, there was obviously a slew of about 6 MJ Impersonators (2 with short hair and looking a bit like Prince) who came out to dance to some of MJ's greatest songs. Oddly enough, the MJ Impersonator J Chandran whom I saw at Heartland Mall last June wasn't present... but I was glad to see V Prakash there.

For game sessions, a tune is being played and people have to say MJ's trademark "AAOWW!!" if they know the answer. Two girls got up on stage to attempt the moonwalk, and 3 MJ fans (a guy, a girl, and a sheer weirdo) did whatever they did within 1 minute of Billie Jean being played.

About a quarter of the patrons (myself included) left ZIRCA at 11 pm when Vanessa was about to start an acapella session of MJ's Greatest Hits. I obviously wouldn't want to stay for the whole thing. I went home with my feet feeling very sore from all that standing.

Been busy these few days, but no worries

Happy Birthday to...
10th July- Angela and Cornelia
11th July- April Sim, Jackson Koh and Cheryl Chan

Sorry for the long delay, cos I had been too occupied with other stuff... this was what I did during the last 3 nights:

- On Wednesday, I went for the Michael Jackson Tribute show at ZIRCA, Block 3C of the Cannery located at Clarke Quay region. Event started at 9.30 pm, I stayed til 11 pm then left the place, reached home at 12 plus.
- On Thursday, after reaching home from work, I took a rest and watched "Red Thread", then went to airport with Mother and Brother to have dinner, as well as fetch Dad back. Due to the limitations of his leave, Dad could only stay with us for about one week.
- Yesterday, I made a last minute decision to go to the ComCenter after work (thank goodness I finished at 6 pm) to witness the official launch of the iPhone 3G device. Joanne and Felicia were present at that event. Only Fel came out at 9 plus, Joanne didn’t come out at all even after 10 pm.

Dedication to all MJ fans and to some gals

I dedicate this song not just to all the MJ fans, but also to the babelicious Xue Sha and Michelle Lee whom I saw at the Games Expo fair at Suntec Convention on Saturday, as well as that cute/hot/sweet gal in Ghostbusters attire whom I saw at the Toy Carnival on Sunday. Not to forget the sweetie pie I like very much... :-)

BLOOD ON THE DANCE FLOOR- MICHAEL JACKSON

She got your number, she know your game
She put you under, it's so insane
Since you seduced her, how does it feel
To know that woman is out to kill

Every night stance is like takin' a chance
It's not about love and romance
And now you're gonna get it

Every hot man is out takin' a chance
It's not about love and romance
And now you do regret it

To escape the world I've got to enjoy that simple dance
And it seemed that everything was on my side
(Blood on my side)

She seemed sincere like it was love and true romance
And now she's out to get me
And I just can't take it, just can't break it
(Just can't take it)

Susie got your number and Susie ain't your friend
Look who took you under with seven inches in
Blood is on the dance floor, blood is on the knife
Susie's got your number and Susie says its right

She got your number, how does it feel
To know this stranger is out to kill
She got your baby, it happened fast
If you could only erase the past

Every night stance is like takin a chance
It's not about love and romance
And now you're gonna get it

Every hot man is out takin' a chance
It's not about love and romance
And now you do regret it

To escape the world I got to enjoy this simple dance
And it seemed that everything was on my side
(Blood on my side...)

It seemed sincere like it was love and true romance
And now she's out to get me
And I just can't take it, just can't break it
(Just can't take it)

Susie got your number and Susie ain't your friend
Look who took you under with seven inches in
Blood is on the dance floor, blood is on the knife
Susie got your number, you know Susie says its right (Hoo hoo...)

Susie's got your number, and Susie ain't your friend (It's going down baby)
Look who took you under, she put seven inches in
Blood is on the dance floor, blood is on the knife (It's going down baby)
Susie's got your number, you know Susie says its right

It was blood on the dance floor (blood on the dance floor)
It was blood on the dance floor (blood on the dance floor)
It was blood on the dance floor (blood on the dance floor)
It was blood on the dance floor...
And I just can't take it
(Just can't take it)
The girl won't break it, hoo!

The end of 2 dramas, and a memorial service :-(((

Earlier today, 2 dramas ended back-to-back... Fighting Spiders on Channel 5 and The Ultimatum on Channel 8.

I had been following "Fighting Spiders" on a regular basis since it debuted on April 14th... I got nothing but praise and compliments to the scriptwriters for the easy-to-follow storyline and amazing chemistry among the cast. I liked how Ah Huat was forced into cancelling the 'engagement' with sweet Yiling by none other than Charlie and his girlfriend. I also liked how Tony finally gained the trust of Annie's elder sister Sherry, who realized that she had been so foolish to look at men based on their education status instead of their true character. Sherry realized her mistake a little too late when she eventually found out about Simon showing his true colors by raping Annie in Venom-like fashion. It was most touching to see Soon Lee and Charlie hand their gifts to Peter who was leaving for London with his father to find his mother; that goes to show the importance of brotherly ties and understanding between friends or lovers (as seen between Tony and Annie, as well as Soon Lee and Yiling). The only thing I wasn't too pleased about was the minimal appearances of Rebecca Lim's role as the hooker Annie, given the fact that she debuted so late in the show and was written off after the death of that "hard-to-die" gangster Larry, only to return towards the end of Episode 13. And in typical tongue-in-cheek style, Charlie finally got his wish by getting a free bicycle ride with the Papaya Lady, woo hoo!! :-p

The same amount of could not be said for "The Ultimatum" though. Ever since its debut on 27th May, the so-called megadrama of mid-2009 was met with heavy criticism on weak plot, overacting and poor casting of seasoned artistes (come on, Constance playing aunt to the older Zoe and Benedict Goh???) Yes, there was indeed a showdown between Yuchen (Zoe) and Songqiao (Fann) as promised, after so many innocent lives had been wasted (Rende being one of them; who can forget the episode where he got knocked down by a lorry driven by a harmless old man?). The crippled Sun Jie gave up his life for Songqiao, and in a moment of pure confusion and mind-boggling, the real Zhang Feng showed up in front of a dazed Yuchen and a captive Zhida (the man thought to be Zhang Feng all along), persuading Yuchen to give up her revenge plan. Yuchen soon died from her injuries after a suicide attempt, while Songqiao, being the biological daughter of the deceased Ye Songnian, declined to inherit the Yes' fortune. Happy ending for Songqiao who ended up with Chaoqun, for Sun Min who went steady with Songqing for good (and Rende ended up a vegetable after surviving a death fall), and also for Renxiao (with less-than-perfect Mandarin) who got released from prison. All this would never have happened had Songnian not been such as beast as to rape Zheng Wenyu those years ago and cause so much misery. The finale of this drama goes to show the amount of damage that hatred and revenge can do to those closest to you. The most dissatisfying thing about this show is Jessica Tan getting a very minor role as the colleague of Sun Min and Songqing, appearing in only 3 episodes and lasting less than 5 minutes for each appearance. :-(

With those two dramas ended, I only got "Red Thread" to hang onto, but even this 40-part drama series is coming to an end come July 14th. I am uncertain on whether or not to follow the new Channel 8 drama titled "My Buddy" which stars Christopher Lee, Zheng Geping and Eelyn Kok... given the fact that I spend less time on TV these days, and also the fact that I sometimes knock off from work late.

And yeah to cap this entry off, Michael Jackson's Public Memorial Service at the Staples Center will be telecast live tonight on Channel 5 at 1.30 am Singapore time... this memorial is open to a selected 8750 fans via ticket and wristband. Expect buckets of tears worldwide. I hope you guys don't mind if I make at least one reference to the King of Pop in the next few entries...

Different fairs for the weekend

Happy Birthday to...
4th July- Andy and Shirley Tan
5th July- Shane Filan and Joanne Lin

For the weekend, I went to 2 different fairs at different places...

Yesterday
I worked in morning shift, and then went to City Hall region. While looking around the HMV outlet at City Link Mall, suddenly got "Bad" being played at full blast, and yes the MJ compilation albums (namely "MJ Number Ones" and "Essential MJ") were sold at special discount. After having lunch at Marina Square, I went straight to Suntec Convention for the TGX games fair. There were guys and girls dressed in Japanese character attire, and more hotties in tight white Samsung dresses. There was even a plump guy dressed as Super Mario, with a 'mystery brick' (a paper bag with a question mark) containing a toy mushroom. There were plenty of LAN center sections, mostly dealing with either Counterstrike or WarCraft (games that I am totally not interested in). I was kinda attracted to the sweet and curvy babe in white dress manning a Para-Para like sector known as i-Game. One very cool highlight was when Michael Jackson's "Beat It" was being played at the intereactive game known as "Guitar Hero". Oh yes, I saw Michelle Lee and Xue Sha from "S-Factor" at the Dota Garena game section, they were dressed in white jackets, white vests and very tight grey shorts.

At the window region within a very empty and open Level 3, there were plenty of photographers taking picture of various characters. There was one hot young gal in white kimono whose oozing sex appeal and very tight swimsuit-like attire made me feel very tight at the lower region... kinda reminded me of the Sorceress from the original He-Man series (if you get what I mean, hee hee!). I had dinner at Bras Basah before heading back home.

Today
Sunday service in the morning, Pastor Reuben made a very crude joke on Michael Jackson... he and his friends were talking abt the recent passing of MJ, and one of them said that the only possible reason why MJ couldn't be cremated in Neverland Ranch or any part of California was because "burning of plastic was not allowed there" (get the joke?). Hahaha... anyway, after service, I went to City Hall region to have lunch, then I went to the Singapore Art Musuem to attend some Toy Carnival there. Lo and behold, I saw abt a dozen stormtroopers, plus a few bounty hunters and even Darth Vader. At the toy fair itself, there were lots of Star Wars and Transformers toys, plus a bit on Terminator, Iron Man and Alien vs Predator. At the entrance, there was a very sweet-faced girl selling bread-shaped toys. I even saw an original oil painting of Michael Jackson, hee hee!! :-p

But what really caught my attention was a sweet, petite, innocent girl in very hot Ghostbusters attire... makes me wish I could become Venom. Moments after Kamen Rider V3, a Stormtrooper and a Scout Trooper emulated the statues of De La Salle and the 2 students at the top of SJI, I finally overcame my shyness and asked the cutie pie if I could take picture with her (of course she said yes). After regaining my composure, I walked to Plaza Singapura to check out more toys at Level 7, then went to watch the 3 pm show of "Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen". Indeed it is a noisy, complex but fun movie... I think I shall rate the film 6.5 out of 10 stars. Way too many robots being used in the show, thank goodness I chose to stick with Power Rangers. I tell you, the combination sequence for the Constructicon titan Devastator was f'ing scary.

Anyway, I managed to survive the heavy downpour in the evening and with a takeaway of Personal Pan-sized Hawaiian Pizza for dinner. To end the day off, my bro and I watched "Best of Michael Jackson Top 40 Hits" from 7 to 11 pm, a special aired sometime before MJ's 50th birthday last August. From 11 pm to 12.30 am, comes the 2009 BET Awards, which as we all know was made into a tribute show for the late MJ at the last minute. It's a real shame that the King of Pop will never get to turn a year older come August 29th, with his tragic passing... :-(

My thoughts on MJ one week after the passing part 2 (Man In The Mirror)

I do remember back in ITE days, when in mid August 2001, one of the teachers asked if anyone could name a celebrity with extremely low self-esteem, many of them said without pausing, “Michael Jackson”. And this was mostly due to his skin disorder and botched surgeries, not to forget mentioning his troubled childhood.

Sad but true, the King of Pop is living proof of someone with lack of confidence and self-esteem in spite of his immense success and achievements, havingr going through numerous face surgeries and turning into a white guy due to an incurable skin disorder. And in spite of making many friends around the world, Michael still felt very lonely deep down inside of him, longing for the freedom that he was deprived of in his youth. It was probably due to his low self-esteem that his two marriages didn’t last long, and there were even rumors that he may actually be homosexual (given the 2 child molest accusations he faced between 1993 to 2005).

As a boy, Michael had gifts that outstripped those of seasoned musical pros; as a man, he used his wealth and fame to chase the childhood he never had. At his peak, he was the world's greatest pop icon, and he carried to his final days the burdens that come with transcendent talent and scorching stardom.

Sometime last year, me and some friends were watching a dance segment involving some MediaCorp artistes. I remarked on a certain male MediaCorp artiste’s dancing being rather similar to MJ’s, and one of my friends went, “eeew, I don’t like MJ! He’s an ugly freak... but I admire his showmanship and talents.”

Even as a big fan of MJ, I also had my personal doubts on the man labelled as Wacko Jacko. Other than all these wondrous memories as mentioned in the earlier entry, I also read the various newspaper or magazine articles on the scandals that Michael Jackson faced in recent years. I was obviously shocked when I first heard the news on the first child molest accusation, I didn’t know whether to believe anything I read in the papers. But when news of a 2nd child molest accusation case surface, I was feeling rather numb. Of course in the years between “Dangerous” and the bomb that was “Invincible”, I had grown wiser and knew that paedophilia is wrong. I would be lying if I said that I wasn’t disturbed by MJ’s actions in his later years (like how he dangled his then-infant son “Blanket” over a balcony of a hotel in front of so many shocked fans). I was in fact saddened by the fact that this MJ is so different from the MJ of the past who wowed so many people with his electrifying showmanship and memorable songs.

Even as MJ’s health, both physically and mentally, degraded in the years after the best-selling album that is “Thriller”, it was hard to deny his musical genius. Yet it was much harder to ignore the obvious transformation he had gone through, from a handsome black man to a freakish white woman. Nor was it any easier to deny the complicated adult life he led from the 1990s til now. If the news on MJ being diagnosed with the incurable disease known as vitiligo is true, then it must certainly be most traumatic for an African-American like MJ to slowly mutate into a pale white figure.

As for his mental health, some sources say that the constant abuse that he suffered from his father Joe Jackson as a child was the main reason behind this inferiority complex. That probably made Michael so fearful of becoming a monster, that led him to doing bizarre things like making his 3 kids wear masks or veils to conceal their faces from the paparazzi, being rather strict with them, spending lots of money on unnecessary antiques, and not even bothering to pay the housekeeper the monthly wages. Perhaps things might have been better if MJ were able to let go of the past and look forward to the future. It was certainly no surprise then, that most of my friends who like either Michael Jackson or Janet Jackson actually hate Joe Jackson for the monster was in the past, and for being the indirect cause behind MJ’s lack of self-esteem. Indeed Michael paid a very heavy price for fame, being deprived of a normal childhood for his entire youth and enduring the continuous beatings from his father.

And then came the impersonations or covers. I thought Alien Ant Farm’s cover of “Smooth Criminal” was cool. Eminem’s impersonation of MJ in “Move your Body” was hilarious yet insulting. I somehow couldn’t stop laughing when MJ impersonator Edward Moss played the King of Pop in “Scary Movie 3”, but deep down I felt really bad for the singer for what he had become, to the extent that various celebs would even poke fun at his ever-changing appearance. There was a period of time when I wasn’t sure on whether it was worth being a fan of a fallen superstar who had become very different from the musical genius he was in the 80s.

Even as Michael Jackson had died at the rather young age of 50, it would have always been difficult to imagine the King of Pop, the eternal child, in old age. It was hard not to picture him as the eccentric and secluded icon that everyone knew of him since the 1990s. The Michael Jackson we prefer to keep in our memories is the man-child at the height of his phenomenal powers, the one with the saw-toothed yelps and the jackhammer moves, the one who flung thunderbolts from the stage. That's the man whom the future, which has a way of putting uncomfortable questions to the side, will take to its heart.

My thoughts on MJ one week after the passing part 1 (Remember The Time)

I want to apologize to everyone if I had somewhat seemed rather 'half-hearted' in some of my most recent entries... not just because I am busy with work, but also because I am trying to cope with life after the death of my fave singer. I guess you feel the same way as I do... the following text is my personal thoughts on the legend who had such a big influence in my life...

It was the 16th of August 2002, on the 25th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death, and some of Elvis’ greatest hits were playing on the radio inside the bunk that I shared with some close friends during my time in NS. One of my army friends told me, “It amazes me to think that Elvis’ music still lives on even though he died before any of us guys were born. I wonder how it would feel like to mourn the death of an international star like say, Michael Jackson?” Little would me or my friends or anyone else realize that the day would really come...

Fast forward to 25th June 2009. Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest, news of his death had caused several websites to crash, and his albums at CD stores were sold at record speed. The whole world was in complete shock over the tragic death of an icon. He was scheduled to hold a series of concerts in a few weeks’ time in London. I could not believe it either, and even now on the 3rd of July, deep down inside like all the other MJ fans, I am still going through a ‘recovery process’ and trying to get over with the loss of my favorite singer. It was as if a part of my childhood was gone, because I grew up listening to MJ’s songs and watching his music videos. And yes, I finally understood the pain and grief that the people around the world felt on the day of Elvis Presley’s death, back in a time when myself and many young adults of today were yet to come into existence.

Of course, I am not ashamed to declare myself as one of Michael Jackson’s biggest fans. I may not be the type who would dress up like MJ, but rather I am the type who would try to dance like him and memorize the lyrics to most of his songs. And like many others who like MJ, I do have my share of fondest MJ moments.

I remembered the time when I first saw the Thriller short film at a shopping center... being about 4 years old that time, I was so frightened that I wanted to run away and hide behind my dad, but something told me to keep watching. It was this zombie’s dancing that amazed me greatly, and yes I did learn later that the zombie is none other than MJ.

I remembered watching the Smooth Criminal film at Marina Square for the first time when I was about 6 years old... I was so amazed by the special effects, I actually thought that Michael really had the ability to transform into a robot!

I remembered playing the "Moonwalker" video game (based off the 1988 movie of course) via NES console with a distant relative, controlling the 32-bit MJ to do moonwalk, defeat any baddie and save every little kid within the stage.

I remembered the time when me and my primary schoolmates organized an unofficial MJ dance party with the form teacher’s approval. The event started off with me who danced to “Jam”, then came another classmate who danced to Aaron Kwok’s music, then two people dancing to a MJ song whose title I forgot... and then nearly the whole class dancing to “Black of White”. A truly memorable day indeed.

I remembered during Primary 5 camp, about 5 of my classmates danced like Michael Jackson to some “Ging Gang Gooli Gooli” song against 4 other classes as part of some dance competition, and got first place. I was actually supposed to perform with them, but the others thought I was a rather lousy dancer. Thinking back, I realized they were right; I really did suck at doing a full routine MJ dance back then.

I remembered going to Madam Tussaud’s exhibition at the then-World Trade Center (some 2 years before it was renamed Harborfront Center) in January 2000, taking pictures with various wax figures of famous personalities. It was indeed a ‘dream come true’ for me to take picture with ‘Michael’, even if it was only a wax figure.

I remembered watching the news in my aunt’s house with my family when we were in Thailand in 1993... upon seeing footage of MJ grabbing his crotch during a performance, my mum told Dad, “This MJ always likes to touch his bird even when dancing, so disgusting.” And at another time, when my dad and I were taking a walk somewhere in Pattaya, he pointed to a random hill from afar and remarked on how much it looked like Michael’s nose, in light to his latest nose job.

I remembered annoying my parents at times by either speaking in a high voice like Michael or punctuating some of my sentences with “hee hee!!’, or even grabbing my crotch whenever I hear a MJ song being played on radio. My mum would then threaten to ‘cut that thing off’ if I continue to talk like that.

Deep down I am rather depressed and upset like many others who are trying to get over the shockwaves on MJ’s death, but not to the point that I ‘don’t feel like living anymore’... it was truly heartbreaking to read from the web that soon after news of MJ’s death were made known to public, some of his fans (mostly from the States that is) actually killed themselves in despair. That is a truly foolish and tragic thing, for people to actually end their lives over someone they idolize, but don’t even know personally.

Even though the King of Pop may have left this world, I believe that his music will continue to live on in many years to come... look at Elvis, he may have been dead a long time ago, but his songs are still being played in the radios til this very day; there was even an “Elvis 25” compilation album being released in 2002. I may have many personal favorites (be it actors, films or TV series) in my life, but none of them had such a huge influence as the amazing and talented performer known as Michael Joseph Jackson.

Coming up next... Part 2 of my thoughts on MJ (Man In The Mirror)

WWE becoming more screwed up, arghh!!

Happy Birthday to Christalle and Yi Hui

Man, I am done watching WWE shows on Super Sports, even as the channel itself is going to be available only for those with HD-enhanced function for the Starhub cable device, starting from this Sunday onwards.

Donald Trump’s brief tenure as the owner of Raw may have ended, but his actions taken at that time continue to reverberate throughout the WWE landscape. On Monday’s episode of Raw, the WWE Universe learned that, before selling Raw back to Mr. McMahon, “The Donald” had orchestrated more than a dozen Superstar trades, extending through all three WWE brands and including the following:

Moving to Raw...
Gail Kim from Smackdown
Alicia Fox from Smackdown (appears in all 3 brands)
Jack Swagger from ECW
Evan Bourne from ECW
Mark Henry from ECW

Moving to Smackdown...
Matt Hardy from Raw (AGAIN!!!)
Finlay from ECW
Hart Dynasty from ECW (Tyson Kidd, David Hart Smith and Natalya)

Moving to ECW...
Shelton Benjamin from Smackdown
Goldust from Raw
William Regal from Raw
The Bella Twins from Raw

These are the superstars who had completed a 'full circle' as of June 29th, i.e. been officially contracted to all 3 brands at different times...
- Alicia Fox... member of Smackdown from July 2008 to Nov 2008, member of ECW from Nov 2008 to Apr 2009, member of Smackdown from April 2009 to June 2009
- David Hart Smith... member of Raw from October 2007 to April 2009, member of ECW from April 2009 to June 2009
- William Regal... member of Raw from April 2002 to June 2005, member of Smackdown from July 2005 to June 2007, member of Raw from June 2007 to June 2009
- The Bella Twins... members of Smackdown from August 2008 to April 2009, members of Raw from April 2009 to June 2009

Superstars who have already made a 'full circle' prior to recent trade-in...
- Mark Henry (member of Smackdown from April 2002 to August 2003, member of Raw from August 2003 to Dec 2005, member of Smackdown from January 2006 to June 2008, member of ECW from June 2008 to June 2009)
- Shelton Benjamin (member of Smackdown from Dec 2002 to March 2004, member of Raw from March 2004 to Nov 2007, member of ECW from Nov 2007 to June 2009)
- Matt Hardy (featuring the most complicated trades of WWE trade-in history!!)
member of Raw from April 2002 to August 2002;
member of Smackdown from August 2002 to November 2003;
member of Raw from November 2003 to April 2005; July 2005 to October 2005;
member of Smackdown from October 2005 to June 2008;
member of ECW from June 2008 to January 2009;
member of Smackdown from January 2009 to April 2009;
member of Raw from April 2009 to June 2009... and back to Smackdown again!!!

And if that wasn't enough, a few more unknown jabronis made their debuts on ECW... Sheamus, Tyker Reks and Yoshi Tatsu?? Which longtime wrestling fan has heard of them??? Man, the situation in the WWE is getting much more complex than I could imagine...

  17. Yutaki Ong (best known for his role as Shingo in Channel 5 teen drama "Light Years")
  18. Keely Wee (female winner of Campus Superstar season 2)
  19. Lovynn Kan
  20. Teo Zuo En
For this event, 7 advanced to the next round...
No 1, Rachel Chua Ai Jia No 3, Ng Chee Yang No 5, Carrie Yeo No 12, Sylvester Sim No 14, Tan Diya No 17, Yutaki Ong No 20, Teo Zuo En

Out of these 7, only 3 were given tickets for the PK Challenge Finals in Tawian... Ai Jia, Chee Yang and Diya!! I was very happy that Ai Jia got selected, cause that would mean sweet payback for her fans and all those who were feeling very bitter over the doomified outcome of the Campus Superstar season 3 finals. I saw CSS 3 finalist Rachael Chang Hui Shi rooting for Ai Jia, and CSS 2 overall winner Shawn Tok rooting for Keely.

After the event, me and assorted fans took picture with Peifen. Dennis Chew was too busy chatting with other people... they left pretty fast.
