Another song dedication to a certain Princess

Happy Birthday to Fauzi, Mickie James and Jeff Hardy

It's exactly 28 more days to my first ever reservist duty (which will last for 5.5 days)... I don't know whether to look forward to the week wih enthusiasm or start getting nervous as the day draws nearer. I mean, I hadn't been involved in anything related to NS for about 5 years. But one thing's for certain... I really need to get the box of army stuff down and take out my uniform out when I have the time, and buy some new laces for my boots. And I need to do it fast.

Anyway, all that aside, I got this message to a certain girl who may have experiencing heartbreak following a recent interview that was televised on Channel U last Wednesday... you said you weren't sure if you are suited for this line (in acting that is), I understand your pain and your doubts. I wanna say it that I appreciate what you do, and I love you for who you are, and not by what you do. I will still love you all the same even if you remain the Plain Jane you were 6 years ago (yes, I really mean it). It's your sweetness and humble persona that makes me consider you as one of my fave artistes.

You are right to say that there's nothing wrong with plastic surgery, but hearing your heartfelt response on the topic reminded me too much on what the late MJ had to go through for many years. The only difference being, MJ had been in the spotlight since a very young age and had gone through much worse than what you or any other artiste for that matter had been through. I just want you to know that I have never regretted supporting you since the day I got mesmerized by your innocence in your first drama, the first time I saw you in person, and the first time I attended your birthday gathering which is last year. I pray that the tabloids will leave you alone for good.

With that, I want to dedicate this MJ song to you... Miss Felicia Chin. And yes, i dedicate this beautiful love ballad to all the MJ fans as well... :-)

"YOU ARE NOT ALONE"- Michael Jackson

Another day has gone
I'm still all alone
How could this be
You're not here with me
You never said goodbye
Someone tell me why
Did you have to go
And leave my world so cold

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says

That you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
But you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
But you are not alone

'Lone, 'lone... why, 'lone

Just the other night
I thought I heard you cry
Asking me to come
And hold you in my arms
I can hear your prayers
Your burdens I will bear
But first I need your hand
Then forever can begin

Everyday I sit and ask myself
How did love slip away
Something whispers in my ear and says

That you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
But you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart
For you are not alone... whoa

Whisper three words and I'll come runnin'
And girl you know that I'll be there...
I'll be there...!!

You are not alone
For I am here with you
Though you're far away
I am here to stay
For you are not alone
For I am here with you
Though we're far apart
You're always in my heart

For you are not alone (you are not alone)
For I am here with you (I am here with you)
Though you're far away (though you're far away)
I am here to stay (you and me)
For you are not alone (You are always)
For I am here with you (in my heart...)
Though we're far apart (heart...)
You're always in my heart (heart)
For you are not alone...

Pictures taken at MJ Dance finals, plus pictures of my cat friends :-)

Happy (Advanced) Birthday to Yih Charng and Rong Ming

It's official... Michael Jackson's death on June 25th is indeed ruled as a homicide. Coroners have revealed that the King of Pop had a lethal cocktail of six different drugs in his body at the time of his death. Click here to read the full report.

In the morning on my way to work, I got to see dear cute and round Bonnie, as well as Francis (Felix's younger brother who has no bald patches, slightly plumper and doesn't meow much; Felix may indeed have passed away a month ago).

I actually figured out beforehand that the MJ Dance contest finals would have started earlier than I thought. So after I knocked off from work just now, I wasn't too surprised when I realized that the competition had ended by the time i reached Orchard Central. I did see the 6 MJ finalists, and one of them caught the attention of nearly everyone present. This guy bore a strong resemblance to the King of Pop, in terms of face structure, height, build and attire as well (no skin issues please). Even the younger MJ finalists went forw
ard to take picture with him. After that, I went to have dinner, then explored the upper levels of Ion Orchard for the very first time. Reached home by 9.15 pm, in time to watch the last few minutes of "Michael Jackson HIStory LIVE in Munich" (in HD format!!).

And as I was on my way back home, I actually witnessed... the return of VISUEL!!! Where the hel has she been all this while??? Seeing her makes me wanna do "something nasty" to an innocent little creature like her (whoops, I'm just kidding!! But it's true that my love for cats may drive me a little insane sometimes)... she doesn't mean as horny as before (as in, she doesn't walk around my legs so often like what she used to do), prob bcos she's camera shy, or maybe cos her next birthday is on the apporach. After all, I named her after Sazer Visuel from the Gransazers live action series, the orange warrior representative of the Virgo Star.

MJ Dance Contest Finals tonight

Happy Birthday to Chen Hanwei, Andrea Fonseka and... The late Michael Jackson

I seriously can't remember how much I had spent on MJ stuff as of late... but I sure ain't gonna buy anything too expensive. Stuff that I won't want to buy are the "Unmasked" novel, the "Jackson Unveiled" novel and the "MJ: Life of A Legend" book... some of those contain details that are absolute BS (such as the then-tennage Jordie Chandler relating on how he got to know MJ and how the King of Pop 'molested' him continuously one night... in a 20 page appendix that is totally unnecessary and utter rubbish).

This is the MJ stuff I own before June 25th...

- MJ Moonwalker VHS tape, given by a family friend (gone moldy; whereabouts unknown)
- MJ bootleg VHS tape, bought from Malaysia (still have it, I think)

- MJ Bad cassette tape
- MJ Dangerous cassette tape
- MJ HIStory cassette tapes, part 1 and 2
- MJ Live in Bucharest audio CD
- MJ Blood On The Dance Floor audio CD

- MJ Invincible audio CD
- MJ Number Ones compilation audio CD
- Essential Michael Jackson compilation audio CD (2 discs)

- MJ Thriller 25 audio CD/DVD set

- MJ Dangerous Short Films VCD

- MJ HIStory in Film VCD
- MJ Moonwalker DVD

- MJ Number Ones music video DVD

These are the stuff I bought right after June 25th...
- MJ Live In Bucharest DVD (bought from Heartland Mall)

- MJ Unmasked documentary DVD (bought from Tiong Bahru Plaza)
- MJ TIME magazine, July 2009 (bought from Tiong Bahru Plaza)

- MJ pictorial book (made in Malaysia, bought from Kovan station)

- Wonderful World of MJ pictorial book (bought from HMV, City Link)

- MJ Collection audio CD pack, 5 albums in 1 (bought from HMV, City Link)
- MJ King of Pop novel (bought from Plaza Singapura)

- Three MJ ez-link card stickers (bought from separate stalls)

I will be going to Orchard Central after knocking off from work today... to watch MJ Dance Contest Finals!! HEE HEE ;-)

Thoughts on the upcoming weekend... and other stuff

Happy Birthday to Great Khali, Nick Shen and Shulin

What could be worse than reaching the workplace late on Wednesday morning? Nearly being spotted by your ex-boss at the MOS Burger outlet at Tiong Bahru Plaza. Yep, that was exactly what happened yesterday morning. Fortunately, the big guy Jeff was too busy chatting with the employees of that outlet, and I was buying some buns from BreadTalk before I ran off to take the earliest bus. Seeing my ex-boss face-to-face was the last thing on my mind... I wonder if such occurrence would happen again in the near future. Not that it's a big problem whatsoever.

I saw the list of the Top 24 for Singapore Idol season 3, and even now I still couldn't find anyone to connect with, if I have to be honest. I'm not even gonna bother going for the first SI semi-finalists roadshow at the Cathay (or any of them for that matter), esp since I got work to do. Good thing is, about 95% of the finalists are younger than me (haha!!), save for a 28-yr-old data entry officer who is already married. Oh, and there's a fair share of beauties as well (more sweetie pies and less rock chicks)... the ones who caught my eye are Charlene, Samantha, Sylvia and Gabrielle (but I still ain't gonna add any of them on Facebook whatsoever, not counting fan pages). Yikes, and that Vickie Guerrero lookalike Frances Maria is among the Top 24 as well??? :-O

As most of us know, this coming Saturday is of great significance... it is what was to be Michael Jackson's 51st birthday, had he not left this world on June 25th (another day to be remembered, much like August 16th which is Elvis' death anniversary). There were recent reports that his demise is ruled as drug overdose homicide... that MJ's cardiologist Dr Conrad Murray had injected lots of sedatives into him between 1.30 am to 10.40 am... stuff like Valium, Ativan, Diprivan and the like. This obviously makes it most likely that criminal charges will be filed against Dr Murray. Whatever the verdict, the damage had already been done. The fateful day of MJ's passing is enough to burn a big hole within our hearts. The passing of an interntional pop star who inspired many of today's artistes, a megastar who led a brilliant yet troubled life.

As the MJ tribute song by The Game, Usher, Boyz II men, Diddy and many other artistes suggests, we look up in the sky and wonder why he had to go... and then that's when we know "it's better on the other side". As much as we needed him here, Heaven must have needed him more than ever. He will be laid to rest in Glendale Park come September 3rd, follwoing a private ceremony that is to be attended by family members.

While I'm looking forward to the MJ Dance Contest Finals at Orchard Central on Saturday evening, I would like to remind the rest of you who plan to stay at home to watch "MJ HIStory Tour LIVE in Munich" at 7 pm on Channel 5. But you can still watch the videos on Youtube ;-)

Cover Gals for the week, and struggling with website screw-ups

Happy Birthday to... 24th August- Vince McMahon, Dick Lee and Sho Funaki
25th August- Benjamin Heng and Ryan Loh

Felicia is on cover of this week's 8 days as well as i-weekly, she looks smoking hawt indeed. The other Princesses except Dawn featured in eitehr issue as well. Suddenly, I'm starting to miss her... in fact, there's this pimple on the right side of my chin that refuses to go away. Maybe Rui En 'misses' me (since she has a mole on the exact same spot, haha!! Ok, I'm just being lame). For my top 4 fave MDC Princesses, I have thought up of 4 Michael Jackson songs to dedicate for the week (with Mj's birthday on the approach)...

MJ Song to Felicia: "State of Shock"
MJ Song to Joanne: "Invincible"
MJ Song to Jesseca: "You Rock My World"
MJ Song to Rui En: "You Are Not Alone"
(To be honest, the choice of songs is not fixed at all; they can actually be rotated for any of them!!) :-p

You may have noticed that my recent entries have gotten monochrome and pictureless recently. I came to realize that not only had Blogger screwed up bigtime (thus depriving me of the chance to make my entries more colorful as well as upload pictures for the time being), other sites like Facebook have also seemed to be going awry!! Don't tell me there's another virus eating away at certain sites yet again? At least for FB, I can still continue uploading pictures in various photo albums or type down notes... but for how long is this problem going to last? I can't even bear to switch to Wordpress just yet, esp since I still got some unfinished business for the 7-Princess blog (as in making new entries lah).

I don't have any comments on the recent scandal of the Muslim model who might face caning for drinking alcohol, nor the rumors of Andy Lau attending the wake of his Malaysian girlfriend's father (just come clean with the relationship already, Mr Lau!!)... already too many problems going on in the world today.

And in response to a certain blog entry, I am so NOT gonna sign up for Nuffnang, and never will. Let's face it, I tried to monetize my blog TWICE, and I still end up with NOTHING. Not when that traffic-minded man-child (yes, I do mean MAN CHILD) Mr Koh TS is still having a ball of a time blogging to the wee hours of the night and continuing with his obsession on earning money via MediaCorp job scopes and then wasting it. It's indeed very hard for a leopard to change his spots... esp when that leopard is in the form of Sean Koh. Yes, the notes I put up on Facebook in recent weeks are meant to counter-attack the sheer absurdity of that abomination's numerous entries, nuff said.

Redemption for a missed opportunity

Happy Birthday to Lilian Garcia, Nathaniel Ho and Peiling Tan
Start of the Virgo Star

Yesterday
After finishing afternoon shift with 2 fellow colleagues by 6 plus, I took a cab to Raffles Place... only to miss the stunt by minutes. But from what I saw from the pictures and video, the stunt is nothing short of incredible... Ning and a Volkswagen STI were teleported from the showroom to Raffles Place Park in 8.5 seconds!! Although I missed ou on the stunt, I nevertheless managed to redeem myself by queuing up for the autograph-cum-photo taking session with both JC and Ning. I stayed around a little longer til abt 7 pm, then took train to Expo Hall, for some Megatex event as well as have dinner. The IT fair at Hall 5B wasn't very interesting (as in no hot babes at all), though the computers, TV sets and other devices were amazing to look at. I went to Bedok and took bus back home... doing some Battlefront gaming in my PSP and sleeping early.

To see the pictures, go here.

Today
Went for church service with family of course. Topic is on Jesus feeding the five thousand with very few loaves of bread and fish. After service ended at 10 plus, I stayed around a little longer before going to Bugis for exercise. Then I headed off to Orchard Central to recce the place for a while... it seems rather quiet and looked identical to Clarke Quay Central in terms of concept. Oh, and the stage for the Michael Jackson dance contest has been set up for some time liao... matter of fact, the semi-finals had just passed, and the finals is this Saturday!! :-D

After hanging around at Ion Orchard and Wheelock Place (something I hadn't done as often as before, given my work commitments), I bought some donuts back and headed back home. Spent the rest of the day slogging on computer and having dinner with family. Yep, that's how my weekend went... stay tuned for photos while I get this Blogger error fixed. :-/

Destinaton X tomorrow!

Date: 22nd August 2009
Time: 1800 to 2000 hrs
Venue: To be revealed in Straits Times

“Most Original Illusionists”
2009 Merlin Award winners and current world record holders for “Most Number of Illusions Performed in 5 Minutes”, J C Sum & ‘Magic Babe’ Ning, will be attempting their biggest teleportation mega illusion ever in a few weeks by teleporting a full-sized car from one location to another.

This latest mega illusion is set to take place on 22 Aug 2009, Sat at 6pm as the grand finale to The Straits Times 164th anniversary event organized by the Singapore Press Holdings.

The exact location of this event will only be revealed in The Straits Times (newspaper ad) on the 22nd of August 2009.

Enough with the surgery rumors already!!

Happy Birthday to Naomi and Joanne Helix

Taken from MediaCorp Buzz section...

A remark made by local MediaCorp artiste Dasmond Koh, was recently taken out of context and blown out of proportions by the local media. In response to the accusations made against her, local MediaCorp actress Felicia Chin expressed thanks to her supportive fans under a blog entry titled ‘Thankful’. She shared her helpless feelings on this matter and reassured fans that she “will not be defeated and will stand stronger.”

In an interview, Felicia was forthright in her replies and felt that the plastic surgery issue has been harped on one too many times. “Everyone has an answer in their hearts. If you believe me, thank you. If you don’t believe me, then I am unable to control that either. I don’t have to prove anything to anybody, as long as you believe in me, it’s enough.

The actress expressed knowledge and confirmed that she knew of Dasmond’s joking replies in his interview. However, she felt that it was outrageous for the reporter to take his words out of context. “Initially when I read the report, I felt a little emotional. Shortly after, Dasmond responded to the report and clarified that he was joking and that the surgery jobs were not real. After which, I feel that there wasn’t anything for me to be afraid of or hide from because what he said is not true.”

“I felt really helpless and upset because the report was not written from what was said. I have lost confidence in such reports. I find it even harder to judge between what is real and fake now,” she confided.

Felicia understands that it is inevitable for artistes to be plagued with such gossip, however she said, “It is hurtful to be criticized and to remain under the constant scrutiny and attention of others. At the end, we are still the ones who have to face these people.” Despite the hurt inflicted on her from this matter, the easy-going actress bears no grudges against Dasmond. “Since it has already happened, we should let it go. I will not be bitter over this, I will look forward.”

Her optimism and love for acting still clearly shows despite being jaded from this entire hullabaloo. The sense of satisfaction derived from acting and her fans’ endearing support are her two main sources of motivation.

As a fan-cum-friend of Felicia for more than 3 years, I am greatly peeved off by this news, the latest in a series of reports speculating on whether Fel had undergone plastic surgery. Seriously speaking, the rumors are getting boring and plain ridiculous, so much that they must come to an end.
Felicia's appearance as Princess Cherry in an episode of "A Perfect Cut" is enough proof that she. did. not. go. for. plastic. surgery. at. all. And I also felt that the rumors on Joanne Peh getting boob enhancement, thought at a less controversial degree, are getting just as tasteless. It's not as if Felicia had done a boob job like what Jolin Tsai was rumored to have done, or even undergone a drastic head-to-toe transformation like what ermm, the late Michael Jackson had gone through, right? Is there anything wrong with a girl morphing from Plain Jane to a glamor puss? I feel for Fel cos I worry that if the situation doesn't improve, she may end up a paparazzi target like the late MJ, even though the media situation here is nowhere as hazardous as that in Hongkong or Taiwan (I wonder if that reporter who blew Dasmond's remark out of proportion with very little hint of mercy has any GONADS or not... I can only say that he is VERY WEIRD)

(Speaking about Felicia being hurt by Dasmond's remarks, it reminded me clearly of the time when my tongue went loose on that fateful night of April 28th last year, and that incident nearly made her cry, and hurt me even more. Took me nearly a month to recover from the trauma even though she had forgiven me... I shan't elaborate any further.)

That's the ugly reality of showbiz, there'll always be reporters who will either make you or break you, as long as you're a well-known personality. And the paparazzi who would try to make venomous reports by making a mountain out of a molehill on surgery rumors, paternity suits or child molest accusations (to name a few headline-grabbers) are the true abominations of the entertainment world they have been part of, obviously got nothing else better to do (chi bao mei shi zuo, you may say). It all boils down on how you can handle the pressure of fame, and how tactful you are at shooting back at their accusations, depending on the difficulty level of the questions. Not to forget how some celebs these days are obsessed with self-mutilation via plastic surgery or taking painkillers.

Thankfully for us Felicians, Felicia wasn't among those artistes who joined showbiz at a very young age (eg MJ, Donny Osmond) and got warped by fame when they reach adulthood... it's rather unlikely that the kind of Shakespearean tragedy which happened to some HK artistes (too many to name) or American singers (eg MJ, Elvis, Britney) would take its toll on Felicia, Joanne, or any other MDC celeb for that matter... I mean, look at the more seasoned artistes like Zoe and Michelle Chia... they're still standing strong after all these years, aren't they?

To quote a line from "Tabloid Junkie", a song written by the King of Pop himself (along with James Harris and Terry Lewis) for the 1995 studio album "HIStory"...
"Just because you read it in a magazine, or see it on the TV screen, don't make it factual, actual... though everybody wants to read all about it."

To the reporters who still think that Felicia or any other artiste have undergone the knife, I have only this to say to you... you're so damn DISRESPECTABLE.

Swearing off close involvements with SI 3

Happy Birthday to Desmond Tan, Stella and Carolyn
What, Christy Chung is pregnant again?!?! LOLL!!!

Finally, I can f'ing continue to upload pictures in the required photo albums on Facebook!!!

It is indeed true that while I may still continue to watch Singapore Idol on a regular basis on TV (like what I did last night), I have vowed not to attend any live recording at MediaCorp, or be heavily involved in any of the roadshows, should MDC have enough money and sponsor to hold such in first place. I'm not even gonna bother adding any of the finalists on Facebook this time round, like what I did with most of the finalists for Season 2. I am already past that phase of following SI at close proximity, and I have come to realize that not everything is what it seems. And to be honest, I have built stronger bonds with MediaCorp artistes than with the S'pore Idol finalists (save for a few) over the last 3 years or so. And yes, I am still having mixed feelings about this batch of Idol hopefuls even now.

Call me heartless if you like, but I was rather dismayed when a few of the finalists (abt 3 of them I think) actually kicked me off their Friendster/Facebook list in a moment of sheer randomness, beyond reasoning (they're not the only ones to do that btw). Since they refuse to accept me back after failed attempts of requesting, I had no choice but to leave them alone for good, it's pointless for me to get bitter over trivial matters. I won't bother about them even if one of them showed up on national TV during the 2009 National Day Parade (yes Gayle, I'm talking about YOU!!!).

And seeing how contestants like Samantha and Jason (to name a few) have made a very bad impression during the journey by either coming with lousy excuses on why they come late for the theater rounds or showing bad attitude before the Top 80 rounds, I seriously can't see myself befriending any of the finalists via Facebook within the near future. That and a handful of Idol hopefuls who won't take no for an answer, kept begging the judges for one more chance when they already screwed up so badly. Goes to show how desperate they are in becoming the next Singapore Idol. And to be truthful, I can't even name 10 individuals who got the potential to make it big in the competition, let alone 5.

And one more thing... because the guest star for next Wednesday's CelebriTea Break is one of my fave actresses, I have decided that I may be spending more time watching Channel U than Channel 5. What's there to lose? If the final 2 for this season's Singapore Idol are going to be guys once more like the past 2 seasons... that's really the end.

Fb screwed up, plus more cute shots of Bonnie

Happy Birthday to Charlie and Wendy
Damnit, my Facebook account is a little screwed up, I can't even get past the Upload Photos button protocol. Looks like I need to go to the cyber cafe soon to continue uploading the pics...

In the meantime, I am dam
n f'ing happy to read from The New Paper that Tng Jie Min, the 12-yr old girl who was in a coma after being knocked down by a taxi on 5th August, just days before the NDP show, had miraculously recovered from her coma (praise the Good Lord!!). And yes, she woke up on National Day itself, halleluiah!! (But why did TNP relay the message so late one?!?) It's really wonderful and miraculous that Jie Min recovered, to spare the heartache from her parents and siblings as well as her classmates and teachers, as well as the whole of Singapore who were moved by this piece of news. The taxi driver would still have to compensate to the family for causing the accident no matter what... but I personally feel that it's best for that loser to be FIRED!!! ComfortDelGro should never, ever give him second chance for robbing the xiaomeimei of her dreams to grace the stage for the NDP show, and nearly robbing her of her life with this inconsiderate and reckless act... I shall never look at taxi drivers the same way again.

On my way back home from work earlier today, I saw Bonnie sleeping near the lift lobby as usual... but what I saw truly amazed me (it was rather cute, I thought). Lol, someone actually left a cigarette near Bonnie?? Or was it already there by mere coincidence at the time when Bonnie decided to catch 40 winks at said region? Or don't tell me... Bonnie was "smoking" (no wonder she's so fat and lazy)??? NAHHH CAN'T BE LAH... nevertheless, I cautiously picked up the cigarette and flung it very far away from where Bonnie was napping. I then proceeded to give Bonnie a nice pat on the head. I can't afford to see such offending stuff near an innocent creature like Bonnie (esp since cigarettes were the main cause behind my uncle's passing 4 years back). Seems like Bonnie is the only cat left for me to confide in, esp since I hadn't seen Visuel and Felix (the other 2 cats I adore) for nearly 2 weeks already... don't tell me they've gone to 'the same place' that er, Michael Jackson did? :-(((
