Guardian Giants of Thailand Part 12: Suriyaphob

Description on Suriyaphob: His face is similar to Indrajit’s face (grounded mouth, downward pointed fangs, bulging eyes) and wears a same headdress. But the only difference is that his face is vermilion, he also spouts both Human and Giant sideburns.

He is the oldest son of the Great Giant named Thao Cakravarti and Nang Watchaneesoon. He had 2 younger brothers Banlaijak and Nonyupak. As crown prince of Maliwan City, Suriyaphob held a powerful staff known as Mekphat, which had the power to cause great injury or death to anyone who stood in his way. After many incantations, not even the angels could withstand its power. Suriyaphob holds a noticeable role in the Ramakien. When Bhrot moved his troops to fight in Maliwan City, Suriyaphob fought back and defeated the majority of Satrud 's army with his staff. On the next day Suriyaphob is pierced by Bhrot’s arrows and died in the battlefield.

Guardian Giants of Thailand Part 11: Indrajit

Indrajit is a light green skinned alien with grounded mouth and bulging eyes. A noticeable trait is that his fangs sprout down, rathar than upwards like most demons.

Indrajit, original name Ronapak, is the oldest son of Tosakanth and Crown Prince of Longka. He was renamed Indrajit after having defeated the god Indra in a difficult battle. He was married to Suwanakanyuma and they had 2 sons named Yamalivan and KanyuvikIntharachit uses his bow more than any other weapon. He once fired arrows (Nagabat Arrows) which turned into Nagas (or snakes) in mid-air and
rained down on Rama's army. He had a blessing from Shiva that he shall not die on land but in the air, and if his decapitated head were to touch the ground, it will conjure a huge fire which will bring great destruction on the Earth.

Indrajit holds a noticeable role in Ramayana, having defeated Lakshmana twice and even Rama on one occasion. After 3 days and 3 nights of endless battle, Lakshmana finally defeated Indrajit by shooting him in the air, and Ongkot caught the head in a golden bowl retrieved from Saha Bodhi Brahma, which Rama later destroyed. Indrajit's death further fuelled Tosakanth's anger and hatred, making him more determined to destroy Rama for what he and his army had done. The citizens of Longka City mourned the mighty warrior's death.

Guardian Giants of Thailand Part 10: Virulhok

Desccription on Virulhok: he is a giant with dark blue skin, crocodile eyes, an unfriendly smile, with a headdress Yod Naga and other adornment associated with dangerous Naga.

Virulhok is the ruler of Maha Anthakarn City (a subterranean province of Badan) located at the underground beneath Khao Trikude. He went to Khao Krailat for seven times a year continually to pledge allegiance to Shiva. One day Virulhok was greatly offended by a gecko on the mountain, who mocked him everytime he bowed down after each step, since Shiva was in a deep sleep during that time. Meaning also that with Shiva asleep, Virulhok pledged allegiance to nobody.

Virulhok was so furious and irritated, he took his breast chain off and thrw it at the gecko (shredding it to bits), also causing Khao Krailat to subside. Virulhok then severed his appointment with Shiva, foreswore future co-operation with any deity, and angrily returned to Maha AnthakarnShiva was rudely awakened by the tremor and upon finding out what had happened, he asked Ravana to use his immense strength to restore the mountain to its original place. Shiva then rewarded Tosakanth with the beautiful maiden Montho.

Guardian Giants of Thailand Part 9: Cakravarti

Description on Cakravarti: he is a chief giant with a white body, 4 white faces, and 8 arms His face is divided into 2 ranks; first contains only one white face and the next rank is 2 small faces, broadly smile, bulging eyes, sharp fangs and wears Cocktail Crown.

The king of Maliwan City, he is a close friend of Tosakanth. He was badly affected by the death of Tosakanth, that led his army to retake Longka from the new monarch Thao Tosagiriwong (formerly Phipek, younger brother of Tosakanth), and to return it to Phaina Suriyawong, son of Tosakanth and Nang Montho who was born after the Demon King's death. Cakravarti changed Phaina Suriyawong's name to Thao Tosaphin who then ruled Lanka city. This plan soon backfired when Phaina and his cousin Voraneesun (youngest son of Samanakha) were captured and executed for inciting rebellion against Pipek. Later, Bhrot moved the troop and took a long distance to Maliwan City.

Cakravarti has 3 sons named Suriyaphob, Banlaijak and Nonyupak, who fought on their father's behalf, but all 3 were killed by Bhrot and Satrud. Continuous fighting between Bhrot and Cakravarti took place, but neither could be defeated. Only after Bhrot shot arrows to the chest, arms and legs of Cakravarti, then did the giant confess to helping Phaina and Voraneesun plot treason against Phiphek, and repenting to his crimes. Bhrot and Satrud then assured to the dying Cakravarti that he would return to heaven and be reincarnated into a good person.

Guardian Giants of Thailand Part 8: Maiyarab

Description on Maiyarab: He is a demon with a pale purple body, grounded mouth, and crocodile eyes. His crown is divided into two types as Kranok Crown and Cocktail Crown. His right hand holds medicines or herbs as his weapon.

Maiyarab was ruler of the Underworld City of Badan after his father Sakayawong died. Maiyarab learnt dark magic from a hermit from Himapan forest named Sumet, and used his talents to change his form, render himself invisibale, and put anyone to sleep by means of a flute. His soul lived independently within a green bee on Mount Treekoot, granting him near immortality similar to Tosakanth. In spite of his iron fist rule, he displayed a rare moment of compassion by looking after Hanuman's sea-monkey offspirng Matchanu, allowing him to swim in a lotus pond at the front gate of his kingdom, on the condition that he guard Maiyarab against any intruder.

One day, Ravana asked Maiyarab to assist him in eliminating Rama. That same night he had various nightmares, which the astrologers predicted that in the near future, one of his cloe relatives would rule Badan in his stead. Maiyarab thought that his nephew Waiyawik (son of his older sister Piraguan) harbored sinisted ambitions to overthrow him, and so ordered him to be thrown into prison. Maiyarab used his witchery to hypnotize Rama's army to sleep and then kidnapped Rama, bringing him into Underworld City. Maiyarab put Rama and Waiyawik in a cage to be scheduled for boiling. Fortunately, Hanuman came to save both Waiyawik and Rama, and reuniting with his own son Matchanu. Hanuman managed to find the green bee containing Maiyarab's soul with help from Piraguan, and crushed it in front of a terrified Maiyarab, before decapitating him. Hanuman then appointed Waiyawik the new ruler of Badan (hence fulfulling the prophecy of the dream that Maiyarab had) and made his son Matchanu the viceroy of Badan. He flew back to Laskhman's fortress at Morakot Hill with the still sleeping Rama and Maiyarab's head. On learning of the details behind his kidnapping and Maiyarab's death, Rama appreciated that he owed Hanuman a great deal.

Guardian Giants of Thailand Part 7: Mangkornkarn

Description on Mangkornkarn: he is a green skinned giant with a grounded mouth with crocodile eyes, wearing a headdress known as Yod Naga. On his left hand bears a club. Mankornkarn reflects reciprocal deeds because his last life was as Thoraphee, an ungrateful buffalo who, after killing his father Torapa (a golden buffalo), boasted that he does not need any gods to protect him (when in actual fact there were 6 angels watching over him), leading to his death in the hands of Palee (Monkey King of Kinkhet City and older brother of Sukreep). Thoraphee's death and Sukreep's temporary banishment for attempting to covet Palee's throne indirectly led to the allegiance of Sukreep's and Hanuman's monkey troops to Rama and Laskman, after the 2 princes helped to retake Kinkhet City from the dishnoest and corrupt Palee.

His past life being a parricide, Thoraphee was reborn as the older son of Phraya Khorn and Nang Ratchadasoon. After Phraya Khorn died in the hands of Rama prior to the abduction of Sita, Mankornkarn succeeded his late father as ruler of Romakan City. While Indrajit spent seven days to render his Nagabat serpent arrow invincible, Ravana asked his nephew Mankornkarn to continue the war during Indrajit's absence. But in a short time at a battlefield, Mankornkarn’s fortress and soldiers were destroyed by Rama's army, but Mankornkarn managed to escape. He used dark magic to divide his body into many copies while airborne. He was soon killed by Rama after an arrow was shot through his head, causing all his clones to dissolve.

Guardian Giants of Thailand Part 6: Tosakanth (Ravana)

Description on Tosakanth (known as Ravana in the original Ramayana): He is the Demon King of Longka, green skinned with 10 faces, 20 arms, 3 face rows and more 3 faces at an occiput. There are 4 small faces at the 2nd rank, in front of the 3rd rank is Brahma face and giant face is at the behind, every face composed of a broad smile, wide eyes and wears Yod Chai Crown.

Tosakanth was once a demon named Nontuk who used to wash the feet of angels before they met Lord Shiva on Mount Krailas, but was slain by Vishnu for abusing his duties by killing angels with his diamond finger weapon (only because they treated him roughly and even plucked out hair from his head til he became bald). Nontuk was then reborn as the oldest son of Thao Lasatien and Nang Ratchada, later becoming the 3rd King of Longka City, with his wife as Montho, Kala-Akkee and several concubines. Ravana has 1,015 sons and 2 daughters. This Great Giant caused trouble everywhere he went, and he doesn’t abide by the virtues of a king; he is stubborn, lustful, aggressive, despicable, and extremely hard to reason with. Tosakanth was practically invincible; although he was on the losing end of some battles, he survived grievous injuries and kept coming back stronger than ever. His near-immortality was due to his heart being stored in a mussel shell, which his mentor Narod stored on the top of Khao Tri Kude.
The significant situation is an abduction of Sita (Rama’s wife) which instigated a huge war in Longka City.  He formed alliances with many demon rulers, only to have them slain in battle. He even banished his own brother Pipek when the latter tried to persuade him to prevent further chaos by releasing Sita. The war reached its boiling point after his oldest son Prince Indrajit was slain by Hanuman, Laskhman and Rama. After more than 10 years of war, Tosakanth died by Rama’s arrows after Hanuman tricked Ravana's mentor into lending him the mussel containing his heart, and then destroying it in the final battle. Before dying, Tosakanth proclaimed Pipek as his successor and asked him to rule over Longka with righteousness and justice, as well as look after his wives and children. Even in death, he never knew that Sita was actually his daughter borne by Montho, who was adopted by King Chanok.

Guardian Giants of Thailand Part 5: Virucamban

Description on Viruncamban: He is a demon commander with a dark blue colored face, grounded mouth, crocodile eyes, and wears a cocktail shaped crown. He can transform his cape into his own image and become invisible. The prominence is when he concealed himself beneath the ocean bed to hide from Hanuman.

He along with his close friend Satasoon elected to fight on Tosakanth's behalf, after the Demon King's meditation was ruined. After witnessing Satasoon's death in the hands of Hanuman,
Viruncamban rendered himself and his army invisible and then darkened the sky to facilitate his furtive escape, while his false image (formed by his cape) tirelessly fought. Under the suggestion of a celestial maiden named Wanarin, Viruncamban concealed himself beneath the ocean bed near Mount Akatkiree.

Meanwhile, Pipek saw through Viruncamban's trickery and told Rama to ignore the false image. Rama then dispatched Hanuman to track down the real Viruncamban. When Hanuman freed Wanarin from a curse and asked her about the whereabouts of Viruncamban, she replied that he was hiding somewheree in the ocean. He noticed one particular bubble in the ocean foam was conspicuously larger than the otehr bubbles, and did not move with the waves. Hanuman extended his tail to seek out the demon from under the sea, coiling itself around Viruncamban's body and brought his to the surface. After a violent fight, Hanuman held the demon by his feet, spun him around and threw him into a mountain, killing him.  Viruncambang's false image collapsed and reverted back into a cape with his death. Hanuman then celebrated his triumph with his new wife Wanarin, and returned to Rama's camp with the head of Viruncamban.

Guardian Giants of Thailand Part 4: Aska-Marasoon

Description on Askan-Marasoon: he is a bright green skinned demon with 7 purple faces, 2 hands. His faces divided into two ranks as a general face and 3 small faces at the occiput. The second rank is 3 small faces with grounded mouth and eyes are wide open, wears Chai Crown.

As ruler of Duram City, he entreated Tosakirivan and Tosakirithorn to be his adopted children. Later, when Askan-Marasoon heard that his sons died during Longka war, he gathered the army to attack rama's army to avenge his sons. Arrows passed through his body easily, and he can multiply his body many times. Pipek told Rama  that the only way to defeat him to shoot arrows into Askan-Marasoon’s head to prevent him from reforming. The great giant was then killed along the Ganges River.

Guardian Giants of Thailand Part 3: Sahassadeja

Description on Sahassadeja. This pale-skinned giant with broadly smile and bulging eyes, wears Yod Chai Crown and his face rowed in 4-5 ranks. The first rank is a real face and three small faces at the occiput, the next 2-3-4 is many tier small faces. The last rank features two types. If it is not a giant face, most likely a Brahma face.

Sahassadeja is a close ally with Ravana, and ruler of Penglan Ci
ty. He can conjure up to 1,000 heads and 2,000 hands, and he has a magical club which can kill his opponents and bring his allies back to life. He got the blessing from Brahma such that he will be able to win every battle.

Sahassadeja got involved in the Great War in Longka after his younger brother, Mulapalam was killed by Lakshmana. Sahassadeja wanted to avenge his brother, but he was fooled by Hanuman who took the form of a common monkey, made up a story on being mistreated by his owner, pledging allegiance to the demon, and requested to borrow his magic club so he may fight by Sahassadeja's side.  Upon receiving the club, Hanuman immediately converted to his original form and grew into a giant, causing Sahassadeja's chariot to collapse and crushing the demon commander's sodliers. Hanuman then destroyed the club and threw the remains at Sahassadeja, before stabbing the demon with his trident, and coiling him up with his tail. Hanuman then decapitated the demon in front of his monkey allies.

Guardian Giants of Thailand Part 2: Tosagirithorn

Description on Tosagirithorn: he is a scarlet skinned demon with a grounded mouth with crocodile eyes. The nose tip is shaped like an elephant's trunk, and he wears a bamboo spathe as same as Tosakirivan.

The offspring of Ravana and an elephant, he is a younger brother of Tosakirivan. Afterwards he became foster son of Askan-Marasoon, ruler of Duram City. When he grows up, he found out about his real father. So he travelled to Longka City to look for him.

But when Tosakirithorn heard about a big war with Rama from Ravana, he volunteered to take part in this war. Tosakirithorn will stand with Tosakirivan together to go against Lakshmana troops. But they were both slain by Lakshmana.

Guardian Giants of Thailand Part 1: Tosagirivan

Description on Tosakirivan: he is a green skinned demon with the nose tip of an elephant trunk. He has a grounded mouth with crocodile eyes, and wears a bamboo spathe, holds a weapon as a club.

Tosakirivan is the older brother of Tosakirithorn. They were born when Ravana took the form of an elephant and had sexual relations with a elephant female. Later on Askan-Marasoon took in both brothers as his adopted children. One day Tosakirivan goes to meet Ravana, who informed them about a big war against Rama and Lakshmana. Tosakirivan and Tosagirithorn volunteered to serve as generals, they had the specilty to duplicate their weapons into 9 or 10 copies. Later both of them were killed by Lakshamana after a fierce struggle.

Guardian Giants in Thailand introduction

The first mention of “Giant” for Thai people is in the literature textbook “Ramakien”. The Demon King Ravana performs in an unjust side, and fights with a fair side of Rama and Lakshmanan. Until people know the word “Giant” is a bad guy.
For deeply research in more detail, Giant is divided into White & Black side. Therefore the image of Giant features the fearfulness and bravery but it cannot decide to the real mind of each giant and considers at their role and performance.
Besides the giant in the textbook, Thai people also believed in giant being a guardian for goodness and getting rid of evil spirits since Ayutthaya period, which led to the establishment of the Guardian Giant at the entrance of the temple.

There are six pairs of demon guardian statutes at the entrance gates to the Wat Phra Sri Ratana Sasadaram (Temple of the Emerald Buddha). These are the main Giants of the Ramakien. They stand facing the ordination hall (Phra Ubosoth) meaning that they are guarding the Emerald Buddha inside from all evil spirits.
These demon guardians were built in the reign of king Rama III, each one describing an important character in the Ramakiean story. The green one describes Tosakanth, the demon King and red one represents Sahassadeja, one of Tosakanth's warriors.

The Avengers character data 8: Loki Laufeyson

After his bid to overthrow the throne of Asgard was thwarted by his brother Thor, the evil Loki retreated to lands unknown to plot his revenge. Not just against his brother, but against Earth, whose inhabitants Thor now protects. Loki, now returns with a nefarious plot to conquer Earth and will stop at nothing to see his vision realized. When his misuse of power threatens the entire planet, it may take more than The Avengers to stop him.

Powers

Superhuman Strength: Loki
possesses a formidable strength as a result of his jotun lineage, that is comparable to his Asgardian contemporaries.

Superhuman Durability: As a Jotun, Loki has a resilient body with a tolerance for trauma well above what a human body can endure. Of particular note is his pronounced tolerance for cold.

Superhuman Longevity: Loki has the capacity to live for hundreds, perhaps thousands, of years. Loki was a baby at the end of the last great war between the Asgardians and the Jotuns over a thousand years ago.

Dimensional Teleportation: Loki can travel to and from other dimensions without the Bifrost. Loki teleported three Jotuns into Asgard to disrupt Thor's crowning ceremony without anyone knowing it was him. The full limits of his ability aren't known.

Cryokinesis: Loki can generate extreme cold fur to his heritage as a Frost Giant. He was able to freeze the Bi-frost to stay open.

Sorcery: As a master of magic Loki has an extensive knowledge of Asgardian magic. He can create illusions, such as when he made a servant see a snake coming out of a goblet of wine that was for Thor. He was able to use his magic to mask his presence from Heimdall while he was in Jotunheim. He created multiple copies of himself when battling Thor on the Bifrost Brigde. He can influence the minds of others, such as when he manipulated Eric Selvig into researching the cosmic cube.

Summoning: Loki can use his magic to summon objects out of thin air, as he did with the Casket of Ancient Winters right before he froze Heimdall in ice and the made it dissappear afterward.

Abilities

Loki possesses great skill in wielding mystical artifacts, especially Odin's staff and the Casket of Ancient Winters. He also has a great deal of skill in his use of arcane lore. He uses his knowledge primarily to conjure illusions and manipulate others to do his will. He has demonstrated the ability to cause the Casket of Ancient Winters to seemingly disappear into thin air, although it is not immediately clear if this was entirely Loki's doing or or in some way bound to an inherent property of the item. He also claims to know of secret pathways between worlds that allow him to travel without using more common transportation methods. As ruler of Asgard he also gained control of The Destroyer for a time.

The Avengers character data 7: Nick Fury

As the legendary Director of the international peacekeeping organization, S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury is humanity's first line of defense against the world’s biggest threats. When S.H.I.E.L.D. becomes aware of an evil that threatens global safety, Fury assembles the planet's most powerful beings and forms The Avengers.

Abilities
Nick Fury is a master strategist and an astute judge of character. He uses these talents to great effect in his leadership of S.H.I.E.L.D. In his earliest appearances, he operated with technology years ahead of traditional forces, including the latest experimental weaponry, and some form of projected invisibility and the ability to walk through solid matter. These powers have very limited windows due to massive expense for any moment of "uptime"; costs for these run to the millions for less than a minute of use.

Weaknesses
Fury has impaired depth perception due to the loss of his left eye. Unlike mainstream Colonel Fury who retains his injured eye despite being legally blind in it with a 95% vision loss, General Fury has actually lost his left eye. The skin around the left eye-socket is shown to be badly scarred, extending beyond the eye patch.

The Avengers character data 6: Hawkeye

One of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s most elite agents, Clint Barton, code-named Hawkeye, is the greatest living marksman on Earth. Armed with his weapon of choice, the recurve bow, Hawkeye fires his arsenal of custom augmented arrows, specialized for any number of specific situations, with perfect precision. With the potential for global catastrophe on the horizon, he employs his amazing combat skills to fight alongside The Avengers.

Powers and abilities
While Hawkeye has no superhuman powers, he is at the very peak of human conditioning; he is an exceptional fencer, acrobat and a grandmaster marksman, having been trained from childhood in the circus and by the criminals Trick Shot and Swordsman.

Grandmaster Archer: Hawkeye excels in the use of ranged weapons, especially the bow and arrow, and carries a quiver containing a number of customized "trick-arrows". Barton possesses extraordinarily fast reflexes, exceptional dexterity, and near-perfect aim. He specializes in the use of regular bows, longbows, compound bows, and crossbows with near-perfect accuracy. Hawkeye is able to fire six arrows faster than the average human can fire six bullets, and directly hit small targets in the greatest of distances. He has been known to hit an apple in the center of it. He practiced a minimum of two hours per day to keep his skills honed. His aim is such that he is able to send an arrow into a moving target with pin point accuracy, and he has even shot an enemy warrior off a fast-moving vehicle while looking the other way.

Expert Acrobat: Barton possesses exceptional human strength, endurance, and stamina. He is athletic, with very good reflexes and agility. This, combined with training as an aerialist and acrobat, makes him capable of complex acrobatic maneuvers.

Expert Fighter: Barton is an excellent physical combatant, having been trained in various forms quite possibly being in the military.

Other attributes: Hawkeye is a veteran espionage operative, and an experienced fighter pilot.

Weaknesses: Hawkeye's ranged combat superiority is severely restricted by the limited supply of ammunition he can keep with him.

Equipment
Compound Bow
The bow also has a selector and transmitter that allows Hawkeye to control his mechanical quiver.

Trick Arrow Quiver
By dialing up an armament setting from a control on his bow, Hawkeye can cause the quiver to affix these special arrowheads. This effectively increases the capabilities from conventional arrows, to explosive arrows, a grapple line, and more.

Trick Arrows
Acid Arrows, Adamantium Arrows (often combined with Electrical arrowhead), Bola Arrows, Boomerang Arrowhead (allows an arrow to return to shooter), Cable Arrow (allowing him to swing through the air), Electrical Arrow, EMP Arrow, Explosive Arrow, Flare Arrow, Freeze Arrow, Magnetic Arrowhead (adheres to metal surfaces; can be added to other arrows), Magnesium Flare Arrow, Net Arrow, Putty Arrow (adheres to rough surfaces, and can stop exposed machinery), Pym Particles Arrow (increases or decreases the size of an object or opponent), Rocket Arrowhead (boosts range, can be added to other arrows), Smoke Bomb Arrow, Sonic Arrow, Suction Cup Arrowhead (adheres to smooth surfaces; can be added to other arrows), Tear Gas Arrow, Thermal (Incendiary) Arrow, Tranquilizer Arrow, Vibranium Arrow (must have supplement Magnetic, Putty, or Suction Cup arrowhead to stick to target; deadens kinetic and vibratory energies)

The Avengers character data 5: Black Widow

S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Natasha Romanoff is one of the world’s greatest spies and quite possibly the world’s most skilled assassin. Armed with an extensive arsenal of specialized weapons like widow stings and cluster bombs, as well as a vast repertoire of martial arts skills, Romanoff’s unique talents make her one of director Fury’s top agents and an integral part in assembling The Avengers.

Abilities
Natasha Romanoff
is a high level trained combatant and S.H.I.E.L.D. operative. She is fluent in multiple languages including Russian, Italian, and Latin. She also possesses high level computer training and psychologist training. She is also deceptively strong, though not superhuman. The Black Widow is a master martial artist, an expert markswoman, a natural actress, an infamous seductress, and a gifted veteran spy.

Master Martial Artist: Natasha is an expert in the field of multiple martial arts. Combined with her strength, speed and agility, she was able to take down nearly a dozen of Hammer security guards with ease and without being hit at all. She also easily took down Happy Hogan in Tony Stark's personal boxing ring.

Expert Acrobat: She is an Olympic class athlete, gymnast, acrobat and aerialist capable of many difficult feats.

Expert Marksman: Natasha is a very accurate marksman skilled in sharpshooting and knife throwing.

Multilingual: She is fluent in Latin, Russian, English, French, German, Italian, and various other languages.

Expert Tactician: She is a very effective strategist, tactician, and field commander.

Talented Hacker: Natasha can hack into most computer systems without tripping any firewalls or security. She use this talent to help Rhodey regain control of the War Machine armor and enabled him to help Stark fought the rest of the attacking Hammer drones.

Master Seductress: She is an expert in the field of seduction. Natasha has been infamously known to bend many different men to her will and sometimes even get them to do her bidding for her. Iron Man is an example and living proof of this.

Expert Spy: Natasha is a dangerous secret agent trained in espionage, stealth, disguise, infiltration, and demolitions. Her talents and years of experience have enabled her to reach a high ranking as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The Avengers character data 4: The Hulk

Robert Bruce Banner was a scientist, working at Culver University, when he was recruited by the U.S. Army to be part of their attempt to re-create the super-soldier serum, that created Captain America. Banner became sure, that his serum would make humans immune to radiation. So sure, in fact, that he had himself injected with the serum and exposed to a high amount of Gamma Radiation. The combination of the two, caused Banner to transform into the Hulk for the first time, and hospitalized his former Harvard co-ed/girlfriend, Dr. Elizabeth "Betty" Ross. While Betty was at the hospital, Banner learned the truth about what he had been working on. He had believed that the serum was intended to radiation resistance, but found out that the Army wanted to duplicate his DNA and make it into a weapon. Banner decided to escape and tried to keep himself hidden, searching for a cure.

Powers
Metamorphosis: When Bruce gets angry or excited enough to increase his heart rate to high levels, he transforms into a powerfully muscled and green version of himself, generally referred to as the Hulk. In his earliest transformations, Banner appeared as a savage with a regressed child-like state, and with no real ability to distinguish friend from foe. Initially, he was unable to control the transformations, but through meditation and breathing techniques, has managed to attain some level of control. Banner's consciousness is buried within the Hulk's, and can influence the Hulk's behavior only to a very limited extent such as when he changed into the Hulk to fight the Abomination, where he managed to possess some human traits when asked by Betty Ross not to kill his enemy.

After over a year of training to control his transformations, Banner learnt that if he always remains angry in a controlled state, then he can easily change into the Hulk at will, into a smarter and less enraged state where he is able to show affection and demonstrates a capacity to work collaboratively with others. However, if Bruce is sent into a state of stress, then he can still lose control and transform against his will despite trying to control it. This Hulk seems to revert back to a savage enraged state, where he would attack anything or anyone ,be it friend or foe.

Superhuman Strength: In the form of the Hulk, Bruce possesses immense physical strength, which increases in proportion with his anger. As the Hulk he was able to rip steel as it was made of paper, and was able to throw heavy objects with tremendous force "like a softball". While maybe not as powerful as he is in the comics he is more powerful than anything within the world of the movie. He is also capable of leaping great distances. By clapping his hands he was able to make a shockwave that snuffed out a fire. His strength is only rivalled by the Abomination or Thor. In times of stress the Hulk's adrenaline level escalates, causing a corresponding escalation in strength. This is not accompanied by an additional gain in mass, but does appear to promote increased levels of energy efficiency. To date the Hulk has never apparently been provoked into demonstrating a maximum output of strength, hence his upper limit remains a mystery. However, whatever the limit, it is well in excess of 100 tons. This is also displayed when seeing Betty in danger in the damaged helicopter, he outmuscled the Abomination to free himself. By raising his fists and arms and striking the ground, he can create tremors of incredible force that stun the Abominaiton.

Superhuman Speed: Regardless of his size, the Hulk's superhumanly strong legs allow him to run at speeds that are far beyond the natural physical limits of even the finest human athlete. Nevertheless, this does not grant him any enhanced reflexes or agility as smaller foes exploit his size and use it to their advantage.

Superhuman Durability: The Hulk is able to withstand substantial punishment; even high caliber bullets bounce off of him and the fire causes much less damage compared to a human. His bone, skin and muscles are overly dense, hard and tough and he possesses a high degree of resistance to injury, pain, and disease. Only beings with tremendous force or extremely powerful weapons can harm him. The Hulk also withstood multiple energy blasts from Chitauri weaponry, maximized cold without freezing in the Arctic Circle, and great falls from heights of over six miles.

Superhuman Endurance: Substantially greater endurance than a normal human. The Hulk's body counteracts fatigue poisons that build up in his muscles during physical activity, allowing the Hulk to run and fight for a long time. While fighting others in an enraged state, he can maintain peak output for hours on end and still continue to become even stronger as his anger escalates.

Superhuman Healing Factor: The Hulk displays an incredibly fast rate of regeneration. This grants immunity to any illness and longevity (for Hulk, not Bruce). The Hulk heals rapidly from injuries at a much greater rate than a normal human. Grievous bodily harm has also proven to be a trigger for Banner's transformations, and he has recovered from otherwise fatal injuries sustained in his normal form. Banner said he once tried to put an end to his miserable existence by putting a bullet through his mouth, but the "other guy" spit it out.

Immunity to Diseases and Viruses: Hulk has a enhanced immune system ensuring his immunity to some unrevealed Earth-based diseases and viruses; Dr. Samuel Sterns described that a synthesized Banner's blood sample would make humans impervious to disease.

Abilities
Bruce Banner is considered one of the greatest minds on Earth, and one of the foremost geniuses of his generation. He has developed expertise in the fields of  biochemistry, engineering, and physiology, and holds a Ph.D. in nuclear physics. He possesses "a mind so brilliant it cannot be measured on any known intelligence test." He is a highly rated expert in gamma radiation and according to Tony Stark, his work on anti-electron collisions is unparalleled. He learned Aikido and meditative breathing basic techniques, while in Brazil, with a martial arts expert.

As the Hulk, while having no formal training, he is a formidable hand to hand combatant simply due to his great physical attributes. He typically uses street fighting and brawling techniques that make full use of his strength.

Weaknesses
As the Hulk, Dr Banner is hindered by a vastly reduced intelligence. His scientific mind regresses to a very primitive state, barely capable of deductive reasoning. Coupled with his extreme rage and physical power, this can cause havoc as he vents his rage on the world around him. As the rage subsides however, his emotional attachments to particular people, or Banner's concern for innocents, have allowed him to regain some level of control and turn his prodigious strength towards productive outlets.

The Avengers character data 3: Thor Odinson

Thor Odinson is an Asgardian prince and the god of thunder, courage, physical strength, and fertility in Norse mythology. Thor was banished to Earth after his irresponsible behavior threatened his homeland. While in exile on Earth, Thor learned humility and compassion, and helped to save his new friends from a destructive threat sent by his brother Loki. In the process, Thor redeemed himself in the eyes of his father, Odin, the King of Asgard. After being welcomed back to Asgard as a hero, Thor must now return to Earth once again to prevent a cosmic-level catastrophe. With Mjolnir in his hand, a legendary hammer with immense power, the mighty warrior soon finds himself drawn into an unlikely alliance with The Avengers, lending his power to their cause against his wayward brother, Loki.

Powers and abilities
Like all Asgardians, Thor is not truly immortal but relies upon periodic consumption of the Golden Apples of Idunn to sustain his extended lifespan, which to date has lasted many millennia. Being the son of Odin and the elder goddess Frigga, Thor is physically the strongest of the Asgardians. If pressed in battle, Thor is also capable of entering into a state known as the "Warrior's Madness" ("berserkergang" in Norwegian), which will temporarily increase his strength and stamina tenfold, although in this state he attacks friend and foe alike.

Thor possesses a very high resistance to physical injury that approaches invulnerability. Thor also possesses keen senses that allows him to track objects traveling faster than light and hear cries from the other side of the planet. Thor has the ability to travel through time. His stamina allowed him to battle the entire Frost Giant army for nine months without any sustenance or rest; Thor has also shown the ability to regenerate wounded portions of his body, including entire limbs or organs, with the aid of magical forces like Mjolnir, Thor has superhuman speed, agility, and reflexes, enabling him to deflect bullets with his hammer. Like all Asgardians he has immunity to all Earthly diseases and some resistance to magic. However, exceptionally powerful magic can overwhelm Odin's enchantment that transforms him between Asgardian and mortal forms.

As the Norse god of Thunder, Thor can summon the elements of the storm (lightning; rain; wind; snow) and uses Mjolnir as a tool to focus this ability, although the hammer cannot command artificial weather, only natural. He can cause these weather effects all over the world and destroy entire buildings; by whirling his hammer he can also lift entire buildings with the wind.

Thor is a superb hand-to-hand combatant, and also skilled in armed combat, excelling in the use of the war hammer, sword and mace. Thor possesses two items which assist him in combat: the enchanted Belt of Strength, and his mystical hammer Mjolnir. The first item doubles Thor's strength and endurance while the second is used to control his weather abilities; flight; energy projection and absorption; dimensional travel; matter manipulation and the most powerful of his offensives, the God Blast (which taps into Thor's life force), the Thermo-blast, and the Anti-Force (which counteracts another force). Thor has been entrusted with Mjolnir, a mystical hammer forged from the heart of a dying star. Odin himself stated that Mjolnir's power has no equal. Mjolnir, which resembles a mallet rather than a war hammer, has a number of elemental powers. Constructed of uru and combined with the various enchantments placed upon it by Odin, it is for all intents and purposes, indestructible. It has deflected blasts from the Destroyer and reflect a blast back into the Detroyer.
Thor often uses the hammer as a physical weapon, with almost nothing being capable of withstanding a hammer blow or throw.Using Mjolnir by throwing in the desired direction and then holding on to the handle's leather loop, Thor can also fly at supersonic speeds in Earth's atmosphere and travel faster than light in space. He can throw an object out of Earth's atmosphere using his strength, and throw his hammer to Asgard from where it will return.

The hammer is capable of weather control, flight and energy projection. It also has a mystical link with Thor, as well as a worthiness enchantment.

The Avengers character data 2: Captain America

Captain America is a World War II veteran who was enhanced to the peak of human physicality by an experimental serum. Steve Rogers is rejected many time from World War II military duty due to various health and physical issues that he had. Rogers is finally allowed to enlist into the army, and is recruited into Project: Rebirth as part of a "super-soldier" experiment under Dr Abraham Erskine, General Chester Phillips and Agent Peggy Carter. General Phillips is unconvinced of Erskine's claims that Rogers is the right person for the procedure but relents after seeing Rogers commit an act of self-sacrificing bravery. Soon after, Erskine subjects Rogers to the super-soldier treatment, injecting him with a special serum and dosing him with "vita-rays" using a chamber-like device created by Howard Stark. Rogers emerges from the experiment taller and muscular. His subsequent amazing WWII exploits made him a living legend. Steve saved New York City and turned the tide of the war, but crashed into the Arctic during his final mission. Awakening in the modern day, Steve learned that he had spent decades frozen in the icy tundra. Now, Steve Rogers finds himself alone in a modern world that he hardly recognizes. When Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency S.H.I.E.L.D., calls on Rogers to help save the world again, he quickly suits up as Captain America, taking up his iconic shield and bringing his strength, leadership and no-nonsense attitude to The Avengers.

Powers and abilities
Captain America has no superhuman powers, although as a result of the Super-Soldier Serum and "Vita-Ray" treatment, he is transformed from a frail young man into a "perfect" specimen of human development and conditioning. Captain America's strength, endurance, agility, speed, reflexes, durability, and healing are at the zenith of natural human potential. Rogers' body regularly replenishes the super-soldier serum; it does not wear off.

The formula enhances all of his metabolic functions and prevents the build-up of fatigue poisons in his muscles, giving him endurance far in excess of an ordinary human being. This accounts for many of his extraordinary feats, including bench pressing 1200 pounds (545 kg) and running a mile (1.6 km) in 73 seconds (49 mph/78 kph). Furthermore, his enhancements are the reason why he was able to survive being frozen in suspended animation for decades. Rogers cannot become intoxicated by alcohol, drugs, or impurities in the air and is immune to terrestrial diseases. He is also highly resistant to hypnosis or gases that could limit his focus. The secrets of creating a super-soldier were lost with the death of its creator, Dr. Abraham Erskine. However, in the ensuing decades there have been numerous secret attempts to recreate Erskine's treatment, only to have them end in failure.

Rogers' battle experience and training make him an expert tactician and an excellent field commander, with his teammates frequently deferring to his orders in battle. Rogers' reflexes and senses are also extraordinarily keen. He has blended judo, western boxing, kickboxing, and gymnastics into his own unique fighting style and is a master of multiple martial arts. Years of practice with his indestructible shield make him able to aim and throw it with almost unerring accuracy. His skill with his shield is such that he can attack multiple targets in succession with a single throw or even cause a boomerang-like return from a throw to attack an enemy from behind. In canon, he is regarded by other skilled fighters as one of the best hand-to-hand combatants in the Marvel Universe. Although the super-soldier serum is an important part of his strength, Rogers has shown himself still sufficiently capable against stronger opponents, even when the serum has been deactivated reverting him to his pre-Captain America physique.

Rogers has vast U.S. military knowledge and is often shown to be familiar with ongoing, classified Defense Department operations. He is an expert in combat strategy, survival, acrobatics, military strategy, piloting, and demolitions. Despite his high profile as one of the world's most popular and recognizable superheroes, Rogers also has a broad understanding of the espionage community, largely through his ongoing relationship with S.H.I.E.L.D. He occasionally makes forays into relatively mundane career fields, including commercial arts, comic book artistry, education (high school history), and law enforcement.

Steve Rogers was frozen in ice for nearly 70 years before waking up in the 21st century. It is believed that the SSS serum is responsible for keeping him alive all that time because any other normal human would be dead. It is also theorized that the SSS dramatically slows Rogers' aging due to extensively healthy cells. Even though he did survive and was found, it is quite possible he may age slowly than that of normal humans and might have been the same even up to now. It is unclear at this time if the serum also helps extend his lifespan but it may be possible.

Captain America's Shield: A circular disk about 2.5 feet in diameter, weighing 12 pounds, it was made of a Vibranium, the rarest metal on Earth at the time. The amount of Virbranium used for Cap's shield is the all the Vibranium that the United States had access to. The Shield was made by Howard Stark. The shield is three times lighter than steel and negates large amounts of damage by absorbing vibrations. The shield had great aerodynamic properties: it was able to slice through the air with minimal wind resistance and deflection of path. Its great overall resilience, combined with its natural concentric stiffness, enabled it to rebound from objects with minimal loss of angular momentum. It was virtually indestructible: it was resistant to penetration, and extreme temperature extremes.

Uniform: Rogers and Howard Stark both design the suit. It is made of carbon polymer and it offers a medium level of resistance to gunfire. The helmet also served as a mask. And allows for a sidearm. The shield can be attached to the back.
