The Avengers character data 6: Hawkeye

One of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s most elite agents, Clint Barton, code-named Hawkeye, is the greatest living marksman on Earth. Armed with his weapon of choice, the recurve bow, Hawkeye fires his arsenal of custom augmented arrows, specialized for any number of specific situations, with perfect precision. With the potential for global catastrophe on the horizon, he employs his amazing combat skills to fight alongside The Avengers.

Powers and abilities
While Hawkeye has no superhuman powers, he is at the very peak of human conditioning; he is an exceptional fencer, acrobat and a grandmaster marksman, having been trained from childhood in the circus and by the criminals Trick Shot and Swordsman.

Grandmaster Archer: Hawkeye excels in the use of ranged weapons, especially the bow and arrow, and carries a quiver containing a number of customized "trick-arrows". Barton possesses extraordinarily fast reflexes, exceptional dexterity, and near-perfect aim. He specializes in the use of regular bows, longbows, compound bows, and crossbows with near-perfect accuracy. Hawkeye is able to fire six arrows faster than the average human can fire six bullets, and directly hit small targets in the greatest of distances. He has been known to hit an apple in the center of it. He practiced a minimum of two hours per day to keep his skills honed. His aim is such that he is able to send an arrow into a moving target with pin point accuracy, and he has even shot an enemy warrior off a fast-moving vehicle while looking the other way.

Expert Acrobat: Barton possesses exceptional human strength, endurance, and stamina. He is athletic, with very good reflexes and agility. This, combined with training as an aerialist and acrobat, makes him capable of complex acrobatic maneuvers.

Expert Fighter: Barton is an excellent physical combatant, having been trained in various forms quite possibly being in the military.

Other attributes: Hawkeye is a veteran espionage operative, and an experienced fighter pilot.

Weaknesses: Hawkeye's ranged combat superiority is severely restricted by the limited supply of ammunition he can keep with him.

Equipment
Compound Bow
The bow also has a selector and transmitter that allows Hawkeye to control his mechanical quiver.

Trick Arrow Quiver
By dialing up an armament setting from a control on his bow, Hawkeye can cause the quiver to affix these special arrowheads. This effectively increases the capabilities from conventional arrows, to explosive arrows, a grapple line, and more.

Trick Arrows
Acid Arrows, Adamantium Arrows (often combined with Electrical arrowhead), Bola Arrows, Boomerang Arrowhead (allows an arrow to return to shooter), Cable Arrow (allowing him to swing through the air), Electrical Arrow, EMP Arrow, Explosive Arrow, Flare Arrow, Freeze Arrow, Magnetic Arrowhead (adheres to metal surfaces; can be added to other arrows), Magnesium Flare Arrow, Net Arrow, Putty Arrow (adheres to rough surfaces, and can stop exposed machinery), Pym Particles Arrow (increases or decreases the size of an object or opponent), Rocket Arrowhead (boosts range, can be added to other arrows), Smoke Bomb Arrow, Sonic Arrow, Suction Cup Arrowhead (adheres to smooth surfaces; can be added to other arrows), Tear Gas Arrow, Thermal (Incendiary) Arrow, Tranquilizer Arrow, Vibranium Arrow (must have supplement Magnetic, Putty, or Suction Cup arrowhead to stick to target; deadens kinetic and vibratory energies)
