Behold... my new championship! :-)

Happy Birthday to Matt Hardy, Ben Yeo, Xuehua, Kenneth Chen and Daniel Lee
Start of the Libra star

Some of you blog readers may have noticed a slight change in my primary picture in this blog. Ok, truth is...a few days ago, I had been awarded the WWE Championship (early 2000 era) by one of my most trusted army friends Fauzi. He already got a WWE Championship Title (Winged Eagle edition, 80s to 90s era) from his cousin on his birthday (which was last month), and he said that I was the only one worthy of the title. A billion thanks for the gift, Fauzi!! You bet I will enjoy a' lifelong reign' as WWE Champ... ;-)

And so I bring to you the new Undisputed WWE Champion... ME!! :-p

So who would like to challenge me for the coveted prize?

You can't see me!! Cause I'm the champ, and you're NOT!!

The WWE Superstars who had been WWE Champion under this "Undisputed" design (April 2002- April 2005) were...

  1. Triple H (17th March 2002- 21st April 2002)
  2. Hulk Hogan (21st April 2002- 19th May 2002)
  3. The Undertaker (19th May 2002- 21st July 2002)
  4. The Rock (21st July 2002- 25th August 2002)
  5. Brock Lesnar (25th August 2002 -17th November 2002; 30th March 2003- 27th July 2003; 15th September 2003- 15th February 2004)
  6. The Big Show (17th November 2002- 15th December 2002)
  7. Kurt Angle (15th December 2002- 30th March 2003; 27th July 2003- 15th September 2003)
  8. Eddie Guerrero (15th February 2004- 27th June 2004)
  9. John Bradshaw Layfield (27th June 2004- 4th April 2005)
  10. John Cena (won title at Wrestlemania 21 on 4th April 2005; changed design into the Spinner type one week later on 12th April 2005)

Highlights during the era of the Undisputed WWE Title design:

  1. Prior to Brock Lesnar's first reign, the WWE Champion can defend the title on either Raw or Smackdown.
  2. Before the unveiling of the new design, the titles came as 2 separate titles, the Classic WWE Title (Circular design in late 90s) and the Big Gold Belt once used as the WCW Championship. Chris Jericho, the first ever Undisputed Champion, was the only individual to hold both title bets simultaneously from December 2001 to March 2002.
  3. A week after the first WWE Draft on 1st April 2002, then co-owner Ric Flair awarded this new title design to Triple H, making him the first Superstar to hold this new design.
  4. The Undertaker was the only person from the above list to hold the WWE title in under 3 title designs (prior to the Spinner Belt edition)... the WWF Winged Eagle design (1983-1998 timeframe), the WWF Circular design (1998-2001 timeframe), and the Undisputed Title design (2002-2005 timeframe).
  5. The oldest person to hold the championship under this title design was Hulk Hogan at 48 yrs old 8 mths. He is the only Superstar in the list not to have held the Circular design of the WWE Title (but he did hold the Winged Eagle Title in his first 5 reigns). All of the other former WWE Champs between 1998 to 2002 had held the WWE title under the Circular design and Undisputed design.
  6. The WWE Title lost its undisputed status on 26th August 2002 (the night after Summerslam 2002), when then-champion Brock Lesnar, under the instructions of then-GM Stephanie McMahon, agreed to defend the WWE Title only on Smackdown. The following week on RAW on 2nd September 2002, then-RAW GM Eric Bischoff introduced the World Heavyweight Championship Title (which is based on the Big Gold Belt design formerly used by WCW and NWA) to serve as Raw's counterpart for the top prize.
  7. The Rock was the last Undisputed Champion prior to the dissolution of the Undisputed status. His victory of the WWE Title under the Undisputed design at Vengeance 2002 made him a then-record 7-time WWE Champion (Triple H would later tie with him in April 2008), and this also marked his final WWE Title reign.
  8. Brock Lesnar had held this Undisputed Title design (not the championship) more times (3) and longer (11 mths) than anyone else in the aforementioned list between 2002 to 2005. He was also the youngest person to win the WWE Title (in general) at 25 yrs old 1 mth.
  9. Eddie Guerrero is the lightest and shortest person to win the WWE Championship (in general).
  10. JBL became the longest reigning WWE Champion of the new decade (2000-2010 era) by holding the title (albeit by dirty means) for more than 9 months.
  11. John Cena became the last person to hold the title under that design after defeating JBL at Wrestlemania 21; the following week on Smackdown (13th April 2005), he brought in a new spinner design to represent the WWE Title, which serves as the current title design. The WWE Championship would soon be part of Raw by early June 2005, following the 2005 Draft when John Cena became the first person to be drafted to Raw.
