Star Wars Episode 7 Part 12: The First Order

An evolution of the Imperial fighters, the new Stormtroopers are soldiers employed by the First Order. Equipped with the finest weapons, they carry out their orders without hesistation, even when orders include exterminating an entire village. Highly disciplined and completely loyal to their commanders, they are only identified by their serial numbers.

There is an appropriate class of soldier of any military situation:
Stormtrooper - capable of taking an entire village in minutes
Snowtrooper - deployed on sub-zero climate battlefields
Flametrooper - armed with lethal incendiary weapons

General Hux is a young and confident officer, He strongly believes that all the systems in the galaxy will soon bow to the First Order, and that the Resistance is powerless before the might of its army. Hux follows the orders of Supreme Leader Snoke, but he does not fear Kylo Ren, and not even his powers.

Captain Phasma is the first female stormtrooper of any rank. Wearing a special chrome armor, she commands legions of troopers with a firm hand - always remembering the serial number of each one of them. She constantly trains, for she believes that only the best soldier can wear the armor of the First Order.

Star Wars Episode 7 Part 11: Kylo Ren (spoiler alert!)

Impulsive and ruthless, Kylo Ren is lost in darkness and hate. He was once a Jedi apprentice, but he turned to the dark side of the Force, and betrayed his master (uncle) Luke Skywalker. He then joined the mysterious organization called the Knights of Ren, took a new name and became the apprentice of Supreme Leader Snoke, enigmatic leader of the First Order. Snoke trained Kylo Ren to use the power of the Force to inflcit pain, invade the minds of victims, and finally kill them without any remorse. Kylo considers himself immune to the call of the light, and is ready to prove it at any cost...

The Power of the Dark Side: Kylo Ren possesses enough Force power to stop incoming blaster bolts in midair and immobilze enemies by simply raising his hand. He can also enter his prisoners' minds to find memories or secrets hidden there.

A Fiery Weapon: Kylo Ren built his own, unconventional lightsaber, and its design is unlike any other: it has a main blade and two smaller crossguard blades, or quillons. The quillons, projected from the side, help to balance the power of the lightsaber and protect Kylo's hand.

Under The Mask: While Anakin Skywalker had to wear his mask to breathe due to the extensive injuries he suffered on Mustafar, Kylo Ren doesn't have to. He wears his dark mask - designed after the battle gear of the Knights of Ren - to intimidate his opponents and to hide his identity: nobody has to find out who he really is... except his parents Han Solo and Leia Organa.

From the Past: Kylo Ren is obsessed with the Sith Lord Darth Vader: he keeps the dformed mask of the fallen Sith Lord in chamber and talks to it as if it were alive. Kylo emulates Vader and strives to be as strong as his grandfather was, even though Snoke believes Vader's weakness caused the end of the Galactic Empire.

Star Wars Episode 7 Part 10: BB-8

BB-8 is more than just a spherical astromech droid, he is a trusty Resistance agent, as well as the loyal and enthusiastic helper of pilot Poe Dameron. BB-8 would face any danger to stay close to his companion. Agile and particularly fast, BB-8 always tries to go unnoticed, as his self-preservation protocols require.

Rolling for Freedom: BB-8 controls his body - made of six circular tool-bay disks - through wireless telemetry. An internal orbiculate motivator rolls it, while magnetic casters keep his head still. BB-8's language is a new-generation variant of the common astromech language.

Essential Helpers: Astromech droids provide onboard flight support to the Resistance forces. They carry out a variety of mechanical repair and power control tasks, but they can also accompany starfighters as co-pilots.

A New Friend: Running away from the stormtroopers, BB-8 gets caught by a Teedo scavenger. The alien creature wants the droid for his parts, but luckily, Rey isn't far away: she hears BB-8's call for help and comes to his rescue.

Star Wars Episode 7 Part 09: Poe Dameron

Commander Poe Dameron is the best pilot in the Resistance. This is why General Leia Organa sends him on a mission to retrieve a clue to the location of Luke Skywalker. Together with his loyal droid BB-8, Poe reaches tuanul, a small remote village on frontier planet Jakku. With the help of an old ally of the Resistance, the pilot completes his mission. but when the First Order stormtroopers attack the village, Poe has no other option than to entrust the secret information to BB-8 and send him away. While the battle rages on, Poe looks for a way out alone.

In Jail: Captured on planet Jakku, Poe is imprisoned on a First Order Destroyer and questioned by Kylo Ren. The pilot is not intimidated, but he can no longer resist the overwhelming powers of the dark warrior.

A Natural: Poe can fly anything: he never got inside a Special Forces TIE Fighter before, but he is able to steal it from the main hangar of a First Order Star Destroyer and fly it to Jakku, right through the firepower of the massive spaceship.

Resistance tactic: The X-Wing starfighters are a most useful weapon in the hands of the Resistance, who must rely on hit-and-run tactics when they face the First Order. A tireless ground crew always keep them fuelled and combat-ready.

Black One: It's easy to identify the greatest pilot in the resistance fleet, for he pilots the one and only black X-Wing. No First Order Stormtrooper is safe when Poe Dameron is flying his customized Incom-FreiTek T-70 starfighter.

Star Wars Episode 7 Part 08: Finn

Finn struggles to escape his past. his previous name was just a serial number, FN-2187, and he was trained since birth by the First Order to be a stormtrooper. Despite his great results in the combat simulations, he was not prepared for a real, brutal battlefield. Sent to Jakku, under the leadership of Captain Phasma, he couldn't follow orders to shoot innocent civilians. Dazed and scared, he chose to run away and stop being a cold-blooded soldier. FN-2187 doesn't believe he is a hero, but he can be one: He just needs to find something, or someone, worth fighting for.

A New Name: On Jakku, the First Order slaughters the entire Tuanul village while they try to fight back. In the crossfire, some troopers get hit. Unable to help his comrades, and reluctant to kill the enemies, FN-2187 can only pretend that his blaster is jammed. He later decides to run away, but he needs help: he gets Poe Dameron, a Resistance pilot who was captured on Jakku, out of prison, then steals a TIE Fighter. During their daring escape, Poe gives FN-2187 a new, real name: Finn.

Poe's Droid: Crash-landed in the Sinking Fields of the Goazon Badlands on the planet Jakku, Finn can't find Poe Dameron anymore. Trying to stay out of sight, he takes his armour off and wears Poe's jacket, which he salvaged from the wreckage. When BB-8 sees him, the droid assums he stole it.

Just A Thief? When Finn and Rey meet for the first time, she runs after him and slams him to the ground with her staff, thinking that he's a thief. Finn has no other choice than to lie and tell her that he's with the Resistance.

Not Too Bad: Rey, Finn and BB-8 steal the Millennium Falcon from Unkar Plutt's junkyard to escape two TIE Fighters. Finn takes the gunner seats and, although the cannon gets stuck in forward position, he is able to shoot the fighters down.

Star Wars Episode 7 Part 06: C-3PO and R2-D2

C-3PO is a protocol droid, fluent in over six million forms of communication, and developed a fussy and worry-prone personality throughout his many decades of operation. He faithfully served his masters, Anakin Skywalker (who was his creator) and Luke Skywalker, never letting them down. Towards the end of the Clone Wars, Due to his talkative nature, Threepio's memory was wiped in order to protect the identities of Luke and Leia. Along with his counterpart R2-D2, Threepio constantly found himself directly involved in pivotal moments of galactic history, and aided in saving the galaxy on many occasions.

The astromech droid R2-D2 began his service in the employ of Padme Amidala during her reign as Queen of Naboo, and would wind up serving prodigal Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker during the waning years of the Old Republic. A smart, spunky droid serving a multitude of masters over its lifetime, he never had his memory wiped, resulting in an adventurous and independent attitude. Often finding himself in pivotal moments in galactic history, Artoo's bravery and ingenuity often saved the galaxy time and time again.

After the end of the Clone Wars, the droids would eventually serve Senator Bail Organa for a time in the Imperial Senate, and later serve the Rebel Alliance in their struggle against the Galactic Empire. Following the fall of the Empire, the droids serve Leia Organa and the Resistance. Threepio is in contact with many droids who serve their masters in every corner of the galaxy: together they form a network, which can be alerted in case of need.

Ever since Luke Skywalker vanished, Artoo would be set into a self-imposed power mode as newer droid models started to out-compute the aging astromech. Despite this, his celebrated role in the Rebellion protected him from the usual recycling procedure of many old droids, allowing him a peaceful semi-retirement in the Resistance as he pored over several decades of uninterrupted data, causing him to 'dream' of many of his greatest adventures. Threepio is waiting for the moment his old friend will eventually wake up.

Star Wars Episode 7 Part 05: Han Solo and Chewbacca

It's been 30 years since the Battle of Endor, but Han Solo's ability as a gunslinger is still second to none. Equally skilled, Chewbacca never misses when he shoots with his weapon, a traditional Wookiee bowcaster.

Han Solo gained control of his destiny when he won his ship, the Millennium Falcon, in a game of sabacc (a popular card game) against old friend Lando Calrissian. he has been a pirate and a smuggler, but after he met Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, he joined the Rebel Alliance and helped destroy the Death Star (twice!). Still in spite of his many adventures as part of the Rebellion, Han prefers to introduce himself as a smuggler, rather than a war hero.

A Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk, Chewbacca's life has been saved by Han Solo on more than one occasion. Teaming with him, Chewie later became Han's best friend and co-pilot. Loyal and brave, he helped the Rebel Alliance restore freedom in the galaxy. Chewie is 234 years of age, but Wookiees are long-lived so he is considered to be just in his prime.

Galactic Mechanics
Despite being the fastest ship in the galaxy, the Millennium Falcon always needs to be repaired after a battle... or during it! Han and Chewie well know how to fix the freighter even when they're on the run.

Aboard the Death Star
In order to enter the detention area of the Death Star and free Princess Leia, Han and Luke disguised themselves as stormtroopers, and with Chewiw as their prisoner.

The Lost Ship
Coveted by many underworld types, the Millenium Falcon was stolen a few years ago. Han and Chewie search every system aboard a massive bulk freighter, trying to locate their spaceship.

Star Wars Episode 7 Part 03: Luke Skywalker

Son of Anakin Skywalker, raised by his uncle and aunt on the desert planet of Tatooine, Luke is one of the greatest Jedi in the galaxy. He has been a Rebellion pilot, the hero of the Battle of Yavin and the last of the Jedi. He never stopped believing he could turn his father back to the light side of the Force and he was right: he saved Anakin and ended the Sith order. Afterwards, he tried to revive the Jedi Order with a new generation of Force-sensitive beings. Unfortunately, his former apprentice fell to the dark side and joined the Knights of Ren, who in turn slaughtered most of the Jedi. Seeing his dream burnt to ashes, Luke felt responsible for his apprentice's fall and went into hiding. Many people have been trying to locate him since, but they all failed...

Force powers and abilities
Vision of the future: Even if the future is always in motion, the Jedi have the ability to foresee it. While training on Dagobah, Luke has a vision of what is going to happen to his friends in Cloud City.
Lightsaber Swordman: Luke is skilled in Form V lightsaber combat, and he had duelled against the experienced Darth Vader on 2 occasions. During the first encounter on Cloud City, he lost his hand and his first lightsaber (which his father built and used during the Clone Wars), but he was able to defeat Vader in the rematch aboard the second Death Star.
Mind Control: A Jedi must be very careful not to abuse his power. Through the Force, Luke can persuade others to do what he wants, but as he learnt from his encounter with Jabba the Hutt, mind tricks only worked on the weak-minded.
Telekinesis: Focusing on an object, Luke can move it without the need to touch it. He can summon his lightsaber when it is beyond his reach, or even make a droid levitate.
Force Piloting: during the Battle of Yavin, Rebel pilots have to use proton missiles to hit a very small port within the Death Star, which was impossible to be targeted at high speed. Luke used the Force to aid him, and he succeeded.

From Padawan to Master

Luke's first Master is Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, who was mentor to Anakin Skywalker before he fell to the dark side. He teaches Luke the ways of the Force aboard the Millennium Falcon.

On the swamp planet of Dagobah, Luke is trained by Jedi Grand Master Yoda, but Luke abandons his training halfway and chooses to save his friends on Cloud City.

Emperor Sheev Palpatine, also known as Darth Sidious, tries to make Luke his apprentice abaord the Death Star, but Luke flatly declines the offer and declares himself a Jedi, like his father before him.

Luke tries to pass on his knowledge to a few students as well as his apprentice. Unfortunately, he loses his Padawan B.S. to the dark side of the Force.
