This is the list of GI Joe characters who are featured in the live action film, which opens here today. :-)
Duke (Channing Tatum)
Conrad “Duke” Hauser was leading a NATO sanctioned special force unit in delivering a shipment of warheads in Kyrgyzstan when he first encountered the GI Joe team. Through skill, courage and determination, he quickly became a valued member of Team Alpha.
Ripcord (Marlon Wayans)
Wallace Weems aka Ripcord served as Duke’s second-in-command in the Armed Forces for a decade before joining GI Joe. Ripcord is a weapons specialist and an expert marksman whose true passion is flying. Before infiltrating COBRA bases, he masters the operation of the team's remote stealth mini-drone that transmits real-time visual and auditory data.
Scarlett (Rachel Nichols)
Shana “Scarlett” O’Hara is as smart as she is beautiful. Having a genius level IQ, she graduated from college at only 12 years of age. She serves as a counterintelligence expert who is fluent in at least half a dozen languages. She’s also a powerful fighter, expertly wielding her high-tech crossbow and applying martial arts moves learned from Snake Eyes.
Snake Eyes (Ray Park)
The mysterious Snake Eyes was taken in and trained by the Hard Master of the Arishikage Temple while living on the streets of Tokyo at age 10. With his specialize expertise in martial arts and espionage, he is the ultimate one-man strike team. Following the tragic death of the Hard Master, he voluntarily remained silent and vowed not to speak a word until he had his revenge on his arch-nemesis Storm Shadow.
Heavy Duty (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje)
Real name Hershel Dalton, the former United Kingdom Special Forces member specializes in arms categorized as “heavy weaponry” and serves as field commander, co-coordinating operations between units during engagement. With tactical expertise and muscular might, he knows the optimal weapons to use in any situation and will never stand down until every last COBRA is defeated.
Breaker (Said Taghmaoui)
Abel Shaz aka Breaker is a communications expert who hails from Morocco, who applies his innovative thinking to technological problems. In other words, he’s a supremely gifted hacker who can manipulate the digital and electronic worlds to achieve the desired results. He can crack any code and coordinates GI Joe team positions during battle.
General Hawk (Dennis Quaid)
The highly decorated military officer named Clayton Abernathy was selected as Commanding Officer of the GI Joe unit due to his years of exemplary service in the U.S. Armed Forces. His leadership style inspires unwavering loyalty in those under his command.
Cover Girl (Karolina Kurkova)
A former model turned intelligence operative, the Czech hottie named Courtney Krieger serves as General Hawk’s right-hand person. She is the public face of the GI Joe team while maintaining a cover identity separate from the black ops unit.
