Guardians Of The Galaxy film informatics Part 17: Places featured in the film

Every planet and station is a unique environmnt, home to an astonishing array of species and beings.

MORAG
Morag
is an oceanic planet whose only inhabitants are small lizard-like creatures known as the Orloni. It was once home to a great civilisation until sudden violent storms, floods and mega-earthquakes reuced it to a ruin devoid of interlligent life. Ancient artifacts rest beneath the scarred surface of the planet.

The Temple Vault is an ancient structure hidden deep beneath the sea level in the planet Morag. Every 300 years the vault is made accessible. It is here that the Orb was located.

XANDAR
Xandar
is the homeworld of the Xandarians and the main headquarters of the Nova Corps. Unlike the unstable and hostile Morag, Xandar is a futuristic utopia populated by millions of lifeforms. The Xandarians were involved in a war against the Kree, during which Ronan allied with Thanos in an effort to strike against the Xandarians on their home planet.

The Nova Corps War Room is a base of operations for the Nova Corps on Xandar.

THE KYLN
The prison station known as the Kyln is an interstellar penal facility that floats in deep space like a black fortress. Battle scarred, filthy and heavily armored, it holds some of the most notorious and hardcore criminals the galaxy has ever known.
Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket, and Groot were imprisoned in the Kyln after being captured by the Nova Corps on Xandar. It was here that they met Drax and worked together to stage a breakout, succeeding in escaping the facility.

KNOWHERE
Knowhere is port of call and observatory for intergalactic travelers of all species and from all times. The size of a large meteor, the criminal outpost is located inside the decapitated head of an ancient Celestial, on the edge of the universe. Knowhere is also the home of The Collector's museum and the bar, The Boot of Jemiah.
