Photos from STGCC Part 1: Hot Toys

As I have always done every year since 2009, I went for this year's STGCC (Singapore Toys Games Comic Convention) last Saturday, which was held at Marina Bay Sands Expo Halls for the 3rd consecutive year. It wasn't exactly a last minute decision as I was rather unsure about whether to go, given the fact that I had to report to work by 4 pm on that day. I bought ticket there and spent a quick 3 hours going around the halls and taking photos. I didn't explore every sector, but I did manage to take photo of the more 'important' toy releases.

Starting off with HOT TOYS!!

RoboCop and ED-209 from the original RoboCop movies (1987 - 1993)

Peter Parker as seen in 2nd movie

Spider-Man, Ben Reilly-like design seen in the 1st movie

Electro

Spider-Man, classic look seen in 2nd movie

Peter Parker as seen in 1st movie, before the spider bite at OsCorp

Rhino armor (no it doesn't come with Aleksei figure inside)

Drax the Destroyer as portrayed by Dave Bautista

Gamora as portrayed by Zoe Saldana

Star-Lord as portrayed by Chris Pratt

Rocket raccoon as portrayed by Bradley Cooper

Groot as portrayed by Vin Diesel

The Avengers vs Chitauri army as seen in the first Avengers movie. A similar scenario will happen in the next Avengers film as they take on a new threat.

The Incredible Hulk, the green goliath with immense strength and power, and breathtaking anger management issues.

Clint Barton aka Hawkeye the ultimate archery expert who can shoot multiple arrows at a time. He will be wearing a different costume in the next film, something like a long trenchcoat with sleeves. Portrayed by Jeremy Renner.

Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow, one of SHIELD's most talented agents with a specific skill set. Portrayed by Scarlett Johansson, who had just given birth to a girl a day prior.

Tony Stark aka Iron Man... genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. Designer of various armors, and creator of the main villain in the next Avengers film. Portrayed by the awesome Robert Downey Jr.

Thor Odinson the Norse God of Thunder, the only person worthy of holding the enchanted hammer Mjollnir. Portrayed by the very worthy Chris Hemsworth, who is actually younger than most of his Avengers cast members.

Steve Rogers aka Captain America, the first Avenger. Looking cool as only he can. Portrayed by Chris Evans, who also portrayed Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in the Fantastic Four films before the MCU.

Mini model of the SHIELD Helicarrier, main base of SHIELD as seen in The Avengers. Almost destroyed by Hawkeye, a few brainwashed SHIELD soldiers and The Hulk.

The lab for Operation: Rebirth, where a frail and scrawny Steve Rogers was given dosages of the Super-Soldier Serum, placed in a special chamber designed by Howard Stark, and transformed into a tall and muscular being blessed with extraordinary strength, endurance, agility and healing factor. A bit of a gay moment in the 2nd photo, hehe...

Old friends meet again after almost 70 years. One who was thawed out from the Arctic, and the other who was saved from near-death, brainwashed, rebuilt and kept alive by cryogenic chambers in a course of 70 years. Steve Rogers battles a masked Winter Soldier in the 2nd movie, oblivious of the shocking truth that is to be revealed right after Steve pulls off the assassin's mask...

Batman figure from mainstream comics.

Hot Toys from Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. What, no Bane or Catwoman?? What about Ra's Al Ghul or Scarecrow?

The Bat Signal, destroyed by Commissioner James Gordon at the end of the 2nd movie, and later reconstructed at the end of the 3rd film.

Commissoner James Gordon as portrayed by Gary Oldman. The same hero who did something as simple and reassuring as putting his coat over a young boy's shoulders all those years ago, to let him know that the world hadn't ended.

Detective Robin John Blake as portrayed by Joseph-Gordon Levitt. The only guy who was able to figure out the secret identity of Bruce Wayne without any hints. Possible successor to Batman as heavily implied in the last few seconds of the last film.

The Joker as portrayed by the late Heath Ledger. The main villain of the 2nd film, responsible for the fall of Harvey Dent. The very role which earned various posthumous Best Supporting Actor awards for Ledger.

Alfred Pennyworth as portrayed by Michael Caine. Trusted butler and surrogate father to Mr. Wayne.

Bruce Wayne as portrayed by Christian Bale, the best Bruce Wayne/Batman actor to date.

Modified Batsuit as worn by Christian Bale in the 2nd and 3rd movies. Thankfully it won't be worn by Ben Affleck in the upcoming Man Of Steel sequel.

Michael Keaton's Batman... the very stiff cowl and strange-looking armor.

Iron Man's Hall of Armors, with Mark XLII armor standing on the main podium.
