Wedding Game event at Bugis, and Late Nite at Esplanade

Happy Birthday to Fiona Xie and Adria Tham

I came across a certain stage setting located in the midst of Bugis on my way to have lunch. I thought to myself, "why not I drop by to take a look before going to the Esplanade?" And that's exactly what I did after knocking off from work at abt 6 pm... :-)


So immediately after I knocked off from work, I headed back to Bugis to await the start of the roadshow. As expected, it started late at abt 6.30 pm insead of 6 pm. Other than Ekachai, Dennis Chew, Alice Lau and Hei Ren (some Taiwanese heartthrob), there were also 3 sportswomen from Team Singapore... retired table tennis player Jing Junhong, national swimmer Tao Li and a certain Pearlyn Wee or something like that. And yeah, I know Tao Li is the cousin of many people's worst enemy... I bet Mr Kiam Pa will be hopping mad if he ever found out that he missed out on such a rare opportunity (i.e. to see his cousin Tao Li). It was during the event that I happened to see Edmund and Jessie. :-)

Event ended at abt 7.10 pm, with the cast heading for the first of 2 gala premieres at Great World City (the 2nd one was at VivoCity). I had a chat with Terence for a while, then I went to have dinner at the food court located at the basement level of Suntec City. Walked around the place, then went to Esplanade to attend Daphne's Late Nite performance at the Recital Studio. Sorry to disappoint you readers, but photography was prohibitd during the show, hence the noticeable absence of photos on Daphne performing.

The turnout was quite good with 90% of the seats being filled up... unfortunately, the audience seemed rather dead and unethusiastic, I think I was one of very few people clapping along to some of Daphne's songs (some of which were covers by Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Avril Lavigne, M2M, etc). Jack from Jack and Rai was one of the guitarists as well as back-up vocalist. Her diction seemed to have become a bit Westernized since the last time I saw her at Ngee Ann Poly which was abt a year ago... but that's mostly because she is now studying in Perth. Of all the people I expected to see, I only managed to see Keith and Shawn Tok (!!!). There was no sign of Daniel, Joakim, Benji or even Sly anywhere within the studio...

After the show, I took pic with the cutie pie and got her autograph on my ticket. And yeah, most of the people were waiting for her as well. I reached back home on time before Mother could turn me into a pumpkin... :-p

Paul and Daphne at Ngee Ann Poly House

My one and only goal of going to Ngee Ann Poly was to see Paul Twohill and Daphne Khoo perform, nothing more. I made sure nobody (mostly the Yr 3 students who would usually orientate any visitor) stopped me along the way, and I must say that the mission went rather smoothly. Yet somehow I got this flu that went on-off... managed to keep it under control til I zoomed off from NP to Dover MRT station for the next event...

Thank u so much for offering me and Eric tickets for the 3rd Dance Floor results show, Louisa!! I will never forget your kindness :-)

Went to school as per normal for a short MIT lesson from 12 to 3 pm, then rushed back home to get changed and haf a very early dinner of Carbonara Pasta. After that, I took a bus to Ang Mo Kio MRT station to 'fetch' Eric from there and lead him to Mediacorp. Main reason for doing that? Just so he could take pic wif the beautiful Jade Seah, one of his personal faves... hey, I'm being real selfless and kind here u know? :-)

I was absolutely stunned to meet Jeremy just outside Mediacorp... it occurred to me that he's also going to watch The Dance Floor??? UNEXPECTED SURPRISE!!! :-o

Mr X was back in atcion and did his disturbing belly dance again, something most of us SI fans had not seen for quite some time (since the last 'Wish Upon A Star' recording), as well as his usual lame sense of humor. Esp the part where he asked if me, Eric or Jeremy got girlfriends or not, then he told us that we could choose any of the few gals sitting in front of us. And we jokingly replied, "We want Jade Seah!!" :-p

Nevertheless, the recording started at 8 pm sharp, wif the 8 groups dancing like never before. The Project Superstar sesaon 2 champion Daren Tan was the guest star for the night. By the end of the show, the 2 groups to advance to the next round were...

- Fantastic Four (not the Marvel quartet!!), based on judges' choice

- Melvin n Sharon, based on public vote

Other Top 2 groups included Viva and R.E

Soon after the show finished, myself and the 3 friends headed to the taxi foyer, where we met Kai Leng, Kailin and Ryan... turns out that they were here (alongside many other PSS fans) to give Daren Tan a birthday surprise (same age as me some more)!! Oh my, what a coincidence :-D

After that, we headed to the reception area... I couldnt take pic wif Bill (funny as ever) or Gladys (who looked real chio in a cheongsam), but I did manage to take pic wif the well-toned and dashing George. Jade arrived soon after (dressed in a pretty pink tee and jeans), and I got to take pic wif her once more!! :-)

Waited a little longer, then Daphne and her fellow mates from SNAAP came out at 2110 hrs. Somehow I wish there were a chance to take pic wif the other 4 young and talented members of SNAAP (esp the very cute one named Rebecca). Viva, D2K and J&P came out soon after. At around 2135 hrs, Melvin and Sharon came out, and that's when I got to take pic wif them, emulating Borat at the same time (NIIICE!!).

After that, Louisa, Eric and myself went out sparate ways. I went to see the Euro Fun Park located at the open field just next to Hougang Mall before making my way back home.

Man, I really cant wait to find out which two teams will get to proceed to the Tournament Rounds next week! :-)
