So happy to see Jasmine again, at the NUS Theaterette... she's still the same cutey cutey gal we saw in Singapore Idol. She sang only one song, Christina Aguilera's "Reflections", but it was still worth enjoying (in fact, it was as flawless as "Don't Forget To Remember Me" and "Foolish Games"). As was the rest of the performer... pity about the attendance though. Perhaps it's due to the fact that the undergrads and Sec 4 students are having their exams now. Of the Jasmine fans who attended, there were only 4 of us (3 of them couldnt attend at the least minute): me, Gerald, Joshua and Benny (Ridzwan's friend). Not to forget Jasmine's parents and older sister. Many thanks to Dann Koh for informing us about the event via the Jasmine groups site!! We truly owe you one!! :-)
I actually reached Clementi quite late (not really), but eventually got to haf dinner at McDonald's with the 3 fellow Idol fans. We managed to reach the place without much difficulty (direct bus from interchange!!)... and we were surprised that Jasmine's family reached there earlier than us. Nevertheless, we followed them for supper at a nearby shop before heading back to the theatrette. This was how the programme went...
At 1930 hrs, the show started off with Second Nature... the 6-member rock band performed 4 songs... two of them being covered by Jonathan Leong during the Spectaculars... "Chasing Yellow Cars" (their own version of Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars", which Jon sang during the Finals), and "Wherever You Will Go". The lead singer really sounded like Jon. Me and Gerald went up to talk to Jasmine for a few minutes (I was a bit shy), before she was called up to prepare for her performance.
Short interval of 10 minutes... next up was CAC Voices... comprising of 4 different groups... five songs in total.

Another interval... next up was Jasmine!!! She's been showing gradual improvement... seemed like Singapore Idol again... only difference was, Jasmine is now a SUPERSTAR!!! And there'll definitely be more gigs coming up... :-)
Last group to perfrom for the night was Cold Cut Trio... comprising of 3 first year Business students Kee Yeh, Rachel and Peklyn. They sang three songs... Cranberries' "Linger", "Stay" and "Yellow". The lead singer Rachel looked (and sounded) so sweet and adorable, she reminds a few (like me!!) of Gayle Nerva.
For the closing item, the team of 22 NUS students (Dann included) grouped together with Cold Cut Trio and sang Michael Jackson's "Heal the World". Haha, a song sung by my fave singer (who looks no worse than wear these days... with bleached skin, fake nose... you get the point).
