It was indeed a crazy time at the DBS Arts Centre last night... I'm glad I brought along my camera, and even more glad to buy tickets for this show, being a huge Star Wars fan like everyone in attendance. Most surprising thing was the fact that several SW fans donned on Imperial attire specially to 'get into the Star wars mood'! A few Stormtroopers, a few Scout Troopers, a Crimson Guard, Boba Fett... even Emperor Palpatine was in attendance!! :-D
Imperial army heading downstairs for a standard rollcall outside the DBS Arts Centre
Admiral Piett and Boba Fett
Scout Troopers with extremely small pistols
AT-AT driver and standard Stormtrooper
A rather short TIE fighter pilot (actually female)
Standard stormtroopers watching over the second level
A Crimson guard with a blaster rifle and Force pike at hand. Elsewhere there was a Snow Trooper whose underwear (worn on the outside like Superman) is in danger of slipping off!!
The Emperor has arrived!! He kinda looks like Yoda with the murky green shade on his face...
I purposely gave a worried look, cos I didn't want Darth Sidious to fry me with a lethal dose of Force lightning!!
Give in to the dark side, and I will hand over to you the tickets for the show!! Hehehehehe...
Boba Fett trying to look cool... or maybe he's wondering what happened to his clique of lesser-known bounty hunters (4-LOM, Zuckuss, IG-44, Boussk and Dengar).
Who do you think is cooler... Boba Fett or yours truly, Tanat Anakyn?
Only one Jedi showed up... a certain Kiera from "Knights of The Old Republic II" (wielding Mace Windu's lightsaber)... posing with Boba Fett and a Jedi Padawan.
Arghhh, how come there's no Darth Vader??? It would have been cooler if new trilogy characters like Darth Maul or Count Dooku arrived...
There were absolutely no props or special effects during the 80-minute show... it's just Charles Ross providing the sifferent actions and voices for all 3 chapters of the original trilogy... the growl of Chewbacca, the whistle of Artoo Detoo, the stiff walking of C-3PO, the stifled breathing of Darth Vader, the constant whining of Luke Skywalker (plus his need for a haircut), the maniacal laugh of Emperor Palaptine, the ominous mouth movement of Jabba The Hutt, the clash of lightsabers, the screeching noises of X-wings and TIE Fighters... too many to name! The whole one-man show was just too hilarious... I nearly hurt my ribs from all that non-stop laughter. Indeed the Force is strong in this one :-p
So if you're a Star Wars fan like myself, and wish to hear the story through a single man, this one's for you!! There are still 3 more shows... today (19th March), Thursday (20th March) and Saturday (22nd March).
May the Force be with you... always ;-)
