Fortune Foodcourt n LFI Wellness at Marine Parade

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Yong Qing and Olivia

Quite a dull start... only 3 of us Vincent fans (sorry, but I chose not to reveal the names of the other 2) were present at Marine Parade Block 89. Marcus Chin and Vincent were among the few guests present for the grand opening of the Fortune Foodcourt and LFI Wellness Sanctuary. Vin spent abt half an hour in the newly opened foodcourt, then he and the other guests went up to the Wellness center located at the 2nd level, spending an hour there. I got kinda attracted to a female VIP in pink dress, she still looked chioh even at 40-something... oh, and she got quite a good figure too!!! (My mum later told me that she saw Marcus hosting some S-Pop Hurray event at Plaza Singapura at around 1.30 pm, which explains his quick disapperance after the ribbon-cutting). Vin then drove off at abt 1315 hrs, but not before wishing the 3 of us 'Happy New Year'. Although we were saddened by the fact that we couldnt take pic wif him, at least he got to see us (i mean, it would be strange if he didnt notice us at all, rite?). But then agin... I was more disappointed by another thing (way too obvious)...

TAY PING HUI!!!! WHY YOU NEVER TURN UP FOR THE EVENT??? YOU OWE US AN EXPLANATION!!!! :-((((

As the other 2 left for lunch elsewhere, I took a bus to Eunos, and took a train to Bugis... had lunch at Bugis Junction and watched a movie there...

The one titled "Jumper". Yes, the action film starring Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson, Jamie Bell and Samuel L Jackson. A little lower than my expectations (plot and character depth not very strong), but still quite worth the watch (my biggest complaint is... the film is way too short at only 85 minutes!!!). I personally think that this film is many times better than "Ah Long Pte Ltd" (which I am so not gonna watch at all, not even in DVD). I thought it would be cooler if 'Mace Windu' (Jackson) and 'Anakin' (Christensen) as well as Jamie Bell wielded lightsabers for this show while 'jumping'... haha, kidding!! I know Im too much of a Star Wars geek. :-p Right after the film ended, I went back to the Kovan heartlands to join my parents for dinner.

And obviously, I chose not to go for the Chingay Parade at the City Hall region. Would rather spend more time with my parents and concentrate in updating my blog, like what I'm doing now. :-p

High Street event at K-Box Cineleisure

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Yongxi, Mel Ashley and Chan Pocheng

Wahaha... I cant believe it. School ended early at 1630 hrs... that gives me enough time to take train from Bedok to Somerset and reach Orchard Cineleisure at 1730 hrs. But then soon after I reached K-Box level and joined with the other Elves, the host Siau Jiahui told everyone that Elvin and Jess would only make their appearance at 8 pm. Still, the Elvin fans, Jess fans and the supporters got entertained by the stylo dancing by 6 different teams (not to forget the free flow of food that came along!). Pardon me for being too 'honest', but I think that the gals for Teams 1, 2 and 3 seem rather 'untoned' at the midsection areas... I like Team 4 (cute Ah Lians!) and Team 5 the best.

Team 4

Team 5

Team 6

Team 7 (came during second half of show)

Then from 7 to 7.45 pm, there was some brief presentation on how to sign up for a High Street 5 account and what we can do within the game, which was kinda dull... at least there was free food to enjoy.

At 8 pm, Elvin and Jess finally enter the K-Union room!! :-D They talked abt what they've been busy with (they play siblings in the new drama??), then they logged in to their High Street 5 accounts, then 'they' danced along to the required directional arrows. 'Jess' looked cute in green school uniform, and 'Elvin' looked so cool in a Michael Jackson-like attire!!

Then the 6 teams danced again... they were joined by a 7th team, who made a last-minute appearance (see above). At 2105 hrs, Jess went up and sang a Fish Leong song... very beautiful voice, like an angel!!

The prize awarding... 7th prize went to Team no 1, 6th prize went to Team no 1 (the gal went home earlier to study???) went to Team no 3, and 4th prize went to Team no 2

3rd prize went to Team 4 (the 2 cute gals)

2nd prize went to Team 6 (sweet gal and Bao Er Chong)

1st prize went to Team 5 (cutie pie couple)

Then Elvin and Jess were rushed to the backstage area... I managed to pass the presents to Jess with some help from Elvin. Later we heard that they left by the back door behind the lounges. We may not be able to take pics wif the two, but at least I succeeded in the 'more important aspect' of my mission :-)

Oh, and I thought I saw Dawn Yeoh walk out of a K-Box lounge??? :-O
