Some pics taken at Home and Design Fair

Here are a few pics taken at the Singapore Home and Design Fair at Expo Hall 6A on Sunday afternoon.

Patricia Mok was the host for the event between 2.30 to 4 pm. For some unknown reasons, I just couldn't seem to connect with her anymore (and I know I'm not the only one), maybe its bcos she had distanced herself from the regular fans as of late. Not to forget that she had deleted her Friendster account a few years back, made her blog private and practically set her Facebook profile to invisible.

Some nice pics of the lovely Jess Liu. Note the red-eye lightings from my digicam ;-)

Surprise appearances by former actress Carole Lin and newbie celeb Huajing.

Huajing got sabo'ed by her friend to sing 2 Chinese songs... first song was a rock-tempo song titled "Wo Xiang Xing (I Believe)", second one was a slightly older and slow-beat song, fogrot the title.

Jess and Pat taking pictures with the organising committee of the event before leaving in white car.

First picture with Huajing. I think she looks rather sweet :-)

Soon after that, I thought it would be good if I took pic with Carole as well. ;-)

Events on Sunday in brief: Home n Design fair plus MJ Tribute

This was what I did on Sunday... due to lack of time to update blog on regular basis, I will keep the details rather brief (but I will upload a few photos in separate entries). Also, I will cut down on birthday tags cos they can be rather time-constraining. 0815-1045 hrs: entered the newly-designed AV room in church. Stayed there til start of sermon by Pastor Benny Ho. Lingered around in church for a while. 1100-1245 hrs: me and Mother went to Raffles City to have lunch. After that, went separate ways... I headed to Robinson's for a while before taking train to Expo. 1315 to 1430 hrs: reached Expo rather early, waited for Jan to reach the place. 1430 to 1610 hrs: along with a few regular fans, went for the Home and Design Fair at Expo Hall 6A. Event hosted by Patricia Mok, whom I am no longer close to. Main star was Jesseca Liu, looking very pretty with new hairstyle and in grey floral dress. Surprise appearances by Mingzhu Sisters, former actress Carole Lin and actress-cum-host Wang Huajing. Managed to record down both of Huajing's performances with my camera phone. After Jess and Pat left, I took pic with Huajing and Carole. Then took train to Changi Airport for next event. 1700-1750 hrs: Michael Jackson Tribute Show at Changi Airport Terminal 3, performed by the one and only Edward Moss!! About 1000 fans were present, they screamed and cheered, went "Hee hee" and "hoo hoo" throughout the first 30 minutes. After the performance, there was a moonwalking competition among 5 young fans aged between 5 to 13. After that, Edward Moss came out with new straight hair wig and maroon top to sign autographs and take picture with 10 lucky fans. One young lady even gave him a hug and kissed him on the cheek, and he kissed her back!! He and the crew then rushed into the immigration counter to have quick dinner and then take train to Terminal 1 Departure Hall. 1800-2000 hrs: I took SkyTram to Terminal 2 to try my luck at Burger King, only to find out that it was CLOSED FOR RENOVATION!!! Fortunately, there was still McDonald's to have dinner. After that, took Skytram to Terminal 1 and went up to Viewing Gallery to watch MJ Tribute show at the Nexus Lounge located downstairs. Thankfully, it started a bit late... turnout wasn't as overwhelming as the one at T3, but still quite decent (about 200 fans I think). After the show was finished, I took bus out of Changi Airport and reached home at 9 plus. Click on following links to see pictures... Events I had gone for between Sat to Mon

Happy Birthday to Audrey H and Elaine G

My apologies for the slight delay, I've been really, really busy going for various functions for the past few days, til i come back home with a lot of energy to upload pictures on Facebook, but very little motivation to update my blog. I mean come on, if I had 'as much energy and stamina' as that attention seeker Mr Koh Tze Seng, I would have jolly well sacrificed my bedtime every night just to upload as many as 100 nonsensical blog entries for this month alone!! Anyway, this was what I did for the past 3 days...

Saturday, 19th September
Happy Birthday to Ross, Kah Yin and Farah

Went to work as usual in the afternoon, serving customers of various walks of life. After leaving the place upon lockdown, I took taxi to Bishan Park 2 to attend Jesseca Liu gathering (for fans and assorted supporters) at the Acacia restaurant located there. Jess arrived a little late at 7 pm, but that's totally alright with us. Got about 26 fans present, committee included. We all had 3-course meal of mushroom soup, main course and dessert (which we finished very fast to get on with next segment). We all took pic with Jess (some of us 3 times), we all got her autographs, and some gave her gifts as well. Although the gathering was scheduled to end at 8, it overran for more than an hour. After some of us saw Jess off via taxi, we went separate ways. Many thanks to Karyan and Michelle for making this gathering a success!! ;-)

Happy Birthday to Mr Timothy Leong and Tracy Tan
Selamat Hari Raya Puasa

Although I was supposed to do projection duty during morning service in church, the AV staff arranged for me to do the inside work while a newer personnel did the camera manning in my place, just so I would get a better understanding on the 'behind the scenes' work from inside the AV booth. After that, I took direct bus to Suntec Convention. Shuffled the next 6 plus hours between Travel Fiesta at Hall 603 and Games Convention at Level 4.

1200-1240 hrs: joined Naturals to watch Nat Ho perform on stage in Hall 603. Managed to take group photo with him, as well as get autograph from him.
1240-1345 hrs: had quick lunch at World Food Fair with Naturals.
1345-1400 hrs: took pictures of some Cosplay characters lingering outside Hall 401. Some of the female characters looked really hawt.
1400-1500 hrs: headed back to Hall 603 to see Huang Wenyong sing 4 old Chinese songs. Something very funny happened during the segment... an old guy suddenly got off his seat and started dancing to ALL the songs!! :-p Oh, and I did see the stupid giant Melvin and the vulgar dwarf Paul. The Jess Liu fans arrived at around this time.
1500-1545 hrs: some slim and attractive (but very chatty!!) part-time DJ named Huifang took over hosting role and brought in Jesseca Liu, who sang a Chinese song and a Teochew song. Got huge queue as expected, and among the queue were the Weirdo Brothers, Mr Hao Lian (in blue attire!!) and his retarded brother Mr Gwai Lan.
1545-1730 hrs: finally went into Hall 401 for Games Convention Asia 2009. Got characters like Predator, Xenomorph Alien, Wolverine (same guy I saw during Toys and Games Convention in mid August), and even Iron Man (portrayed by some well-known Cosplay veteran named Reno Tan). Fewer familiar faces this time round. I know I missed out on Bryan Wong and Michelle Chong at Travel Fiesta during this time, but it's ok... I wasn't a big fan of these two anyway.
1720-1800 hrs: went down to Level 3 to take picture of variious Cosplay characters posing for shutterbugs (unsurprisngly, 90% of them are guys, hee!!). The busty babe in red dress and the cutie pie in blue mini-skirt were most steamy xiah...
1800-1840 hrs: rushed back up to Hall 603 to catch Zhang Yaodong singing a David Tao song as well as a Cantonese song. He sabo'ed Huifang and a middle-aged lady from the audience to sing 'Liang Zhi Lao Hu". Being one of the first few to form the queue, I manged to take picture with Yaodong again as well as get his autograph.
1840-1930 hrs: spent a bit more time lingering with Cosplay characters with a few guy friends, namely TH, KC and SH (all dressed in red coincidentally). Nearly wanted to slash KC for going out in slippers and still mispronouncing my name yet again (he's gonna be in big trouble if he were to wear like that to St James Power Station come October 6th, seriously!!). I left Suntec soon after, had dinner at Raffles City, and headed back home via train and bus... reached home by 9 pm.

Happy Birthday to Yumi

Work as usual from 10 am to 5 pm. I went down to Tiong Bahru marketplace to buy packets of chicken rice for my colleagues, then took turns to take lunch break. Right after closing, I headed down to Tiong Bahru Plaza to have early dinner, then took train to Expo Hall to see SIN (Super Import Nights). Although the admission fee for thie event was quite a bomb (10 bucks mind you!!), the time spent ogling at the local and foreign babes was definitely worth it. Seeing the bikini-clad babes and saantily-dressed imports from Taiwan, Thailand and USA nearly errmmm, 'burnt a hole in my pants', WHOOPS!!! Ended the day by taking group photo with fellow 'perverts' Terence and Shanwei... took train to Eunos and then bus back home by 10.45 pm. :-)

Aftermath of Star Awards 2009

Knowing that there was a post-party going on right after the ceremony, and that most of the artistes would come out only after 11 pm, I decided to head to the reception to chill out for a while with some fans of Andie Chen. Fearing that I might miss out on something great, I set off to RG, meeting Ice along the way. I noticed that the Elves were quite an innovative bunch, esp when they stood on top of a lorry and waved their posters/LED boards. :-p

Pictures taken at RG between 2300 to 2330 hrs.

2305 hrs- a van drove out and lots of young fans rushed forward... it was Zoe inside. But I chose not to take pic with her, esp when that abomination (with horrid hairstyle) was present among them. I realized that he had mellowed a lot and become rather moody as of late, so I didn't provoke him at all (even if I were close to getting into another berserker rage). No way am I gonna let one single individual ruin my mood whatsoever. At least I don't have any anger management issues for now.

A few minutes later, a white BMW drove out and parked a little further from Radiogate. It was Hanwei, 3-time Best Actor winner! Thank goodness I didn't miss out. I managed to congratulate him, get his signature and take pic with him once more.

Fast forward to 2325 hrs, Yvonne Lim drove out and took pic with her fanclub. It was at around this time that Jeanette drove out to mingle with her fanclub for quite long.

Soon after came Nat Ho, I didnt know he was present for the event too. I certainly hope that he would get into Top 20 next year.

2335 hrs- Joanne drove out, and was immediately greeted with lots of congratulatory handshakes. Obviously very happy for her. :-)

2345 hrs- Felicia drove out, and the fans gave her some cake (dunno what significance, unfortunately).

2355 hrs- Elvin finally arrived, and Jesseca was with him too! Shuai ge and mei nu... Naomi even remarked that Jess looked a bit like Rui En from afar. :-)

0020 hrs- right after Elvin and Jess left, I hailed a taxi and went back home. Lights out at 0045 hrs and got out of bed before 8 am.

P.S. I am quite aware about a certain A hiding her face away upon the arrival of B, reminds me too much of a similar scenario that happened in mid 2007. I may not know anything about the animosity between A and B, but it still saddens me greatly to learn that they are no longer in good terms since last year. Some things in life are beyond our control...

MocCarnival Day 1, plus seeing a Princess again

(Note: this entry was delayed due to Earth Hour between 2030 to 2130 hrs last night).

Man, I feel so happy... yesterday, I went to 2 events. Ended up taking picture with not one, but two beauties! One of them whom I had not seen for 3 months... :-)

Firstly, I went for some MocCarnival Full House event at D'Marquee tent-like structure, Downtown East. I managed to buy 2 Guile figures (based off Jean Claude Van Damme's image as seen in the Street Fighter live-action movie) from one of the stalls, each figure costs only 1 dollar. Besides Ryan and Naomi, I also saw Terence and Melvin who were there earlier... soon after saw XT and KL.

The activities at that time were hosted by 97.2 FM DJs Violet Chen and some guy whose name I forgot (sorry!). Julian Hee and Celest Chong graced the stage at abt 2 pm to promote their upcoming drama "Red Thread", as well as to play games with a few fans. Terence and Naomi were called up on stage :-p

When the segment ended at around 3, me and the few friends went to the rear region of the tent to wait for Julian and Celest to come out. I couldnt take pic with Julian due to his PA being a bit too kan cheong, though Naomi, Terence and others did. I managed to take pic with Celest though :-)

After that, 3 of us (myself, Terence and Melvin) took shuttle bus to Pasir Ris MRT station. After Terence and Melvin dropped off at separate stations, I dropped off at City Hall station and went straight to Suntec Convention to wait for Jesseca...

Who knew that seconds after I took pic of the poster, Jesseca came down from the nearby escalator, at 4.30 pm!! Woo hoo, I couldnt believe my luck... had I reached there any later, I could have missed out on her!! Then again, that's because Jess had to rush back to ariport to resume filming in Malaysia. Do take care of yourself, babe...

My 10th picture with Jesseca. I even asked her how her pet cats Tigger and Crusso were doing... MEOW!!! :-)
Yep, you bet I did the Shawn Michaels entrance thingy again, esp since I need not wait for too long outside the Theater region at Level 2!! After having rather early dinner at Marina Square, I took a long bus ride back home.
