What a mad rush... I just got back home from yet another crazy day... this was what I did for yesterday and today...
Saturday, 17th January (yesterday)
Before I left the house at around 1 pm, I had to leave my phone off for a while cos I was getting nuisance calls from someone who is attempting to 'manipulate' me into going for some wedding (see aforementioned post). I already had in mind what to do with the extra copy of Rui En's CD which I bought at Heartland Mall (sorry, can't tell you). I took a long train ride from Kovan to Boon Lay terminal, and entered Jurong Point with a surprised look on my face, cos the place had changed a lot since the last time I went (which was abt 18 mths ago). Matter of fact, it had gotten BIGGER!! I found the centrestage without mch difficulty and it was there that I watched the semi-finals for a certain singing competition known as "I Just Wanna Sing", sponsored by a certain W3M entertainment music school (or something like that).
After the event came to an end at around 4.25 pm, the stage 'metamorphosised' into Rui En's autograph space... the red veil over the stage background was simply removed to reveal a huge picture of Rui En's 2nd album cover. Quite a lot of people within the 1st and 2nd levels, though there were fewer people at the 3rd level. Dennis Chew from Yes 93.3 was the host for the event, he gave away 3 pairs of tickets for Rui En's birthday bash which is to commence this coming Friday (I couldnt go unfortunately). Rui En came up on stage a few minutes later, to talk about the reason behind converting back to her original name and what she's been busy with lately. She then sang "Qing Wa" and "Chuan Fan", before getting on with the autograph session. This time round, fans got the option to take picture with Rui En after getting their albums autographed. Soon after Rui En left the palce, myself and Naomi took a train out of Boon Lay to our respective destinations.
I changed train at Jurong East and took train to Ang Mo Kio, and it was there that I had dinner with Ryan and Source. We then headed to Basement 2 of AMK Hub where FairPrice Xtra was, and no sign of the Carlsberg team. It was a superbly long wait, til they finally arrived at abt 9.20 pm, nearly an hour late. But no point blaming them cos they came all the way from their earlier event at Tampines. The game segment had to be done rather quickly, and they all left the place at abt 9.55 pm, but not before taking pictures and going for a beer toast with the Carlsberg crew and the staff of FairPrice Xtra. The 3 of us then took bus back to our respective homes. These were the games that the Carlsberg Ambassadors played...
- Michelle Chia- toss the huge dice to get 2 similar results
- Fiona Xie- do as many hula-hoops-twirls as possible
- Allan Wu- trivia between close friends
- Michelle Chong- stack 20 cans of Carlsberg to the maximum within 20 seconds, without them toppling down
- Mark Lee- put in the stated amount into the gold teal as fast as possible
