April Fool's Day!! (argh, today also happens to be the 6th death anniversary of Leslie Cheung)
Yesterday's CSS recording for next Monday (April 6th) went longer than expected. It started a bit late at 8.30 pm, and it was supposed to finish by 10 pm, but due to the increasing demands and delays from the rather ngiao producers, the recording actually ran past midnight!! Never in my life had I encountered such a long overrun for a single recording (not counting the filming for Calefare episode 12). Confirm will have loads of complaints from concerned parents and friends alike. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Channel U decides not to bring back CSS for a 4th season.
This was how the day went in point form...
Morning to 1700 hrs- slacked at home
1700 to 1815 hrs- Had quick dinner at AMK Hub, took bus to Mediacorp. Met Kaileng and Darren along the way to Mediacorp, woo hoo! :-)
1815 to 1900 hrs- Started queuing at parking lot with others. Obviously I couldnt resist pinching Hui Si. To our surprise, the theater was still locked!! To make things worse, the fans weren't even turned on.
1930 hrs- Jeffrey the ticketing personnel finally came, and we headed down to lower gallery.
2000 hrs- Yi Qing came out dressed like a woman... laughed til we peng san.
2030 hrs- the recording started. All 4 hosts were present as usual. I couldnt stop blushing when Felicia waved to me and the other fans.
2130 hrs- this was the initial end time, but due to costume changes and delays from the crew, it overran for a few more hours. Some students started leaving at around this time.
2200 hrs- more people started leaving... from an initial number of about 180, it had withered down to about 50 to 60. The 8 finalists not involved in grand finals sang separate songs...
Group A- Hui Shi, Shelly and Mavis dressed as sharpshooters
Group B- Rachel, Mavis and Benita singing some tribal song
Group C- Ridhwan, Benita, Jeremy and Hui Shi singing "Xiao Jiu Wo"
Group D- Adrian, Jeremy and Ridhwan singing a Grasshopper hit
2300 hrs- time passed so quickly indeed, sigh. But we were nevertheless entertained by Yi Qing's various impersonations of the 4 judges. Haha, his Batista bodysuit was the best one!! :-p
0000 hrs- the month of April has started, and we all sang Benita a birthday song. Yep, it's her birthday, happy sweet 16!! :-) Also, Pornsak played an April Fool's joke on Lee Teng and Yuan Shuai, hehe.
0015 hrs- Terence, Desmond and I left the theater... managed to catch the last bus 132... praise the Lord!!
0050 to 0120 hrs- We had supper at Ponggol Nasi Lemak stall which was located opposite my old church. After that, we parted ways. I reached home at 0130 hrs, went to bed before 0200 hrs.
