Evan Daniels, code-name Spyke, is one of 4 mutants who was rescued by Mystique in Saigon. He possesses the ability to project waves of psionic energy into his environment, which affect the nervous systems of other living beings, distorting their physical perceptions and sense of balance. This power induces effects ranging from mild disorientation and vertigo to unconsciousness. Spyke can focus his power on more than one individual, or project it outward from himself in all directions, affecting everyone within his range of influence.
Spyke also has tendrills sticking out on his scalp and his cheekbones. As he grew older, he gains the ability to extend or retract bone spikes that grow inside his body. His body also seals the wounds caused by projecting his spikes with no visible scarring. As his mutation evolved, he gained the ability to heat up the ends of the spikes, increasing their damage potential.
