Due to his obession with duality, he earned the nickname "Two-Face", and often uses his two-sided coin to decide the fates of certain victims. In this film, Two-Face was also directly responsible for the deaths of the Flying Graysons, which led to Dick Grayson taking on the mantle of Robin, sidekick of Batman.
MCU: he played the role of Colonel Chester Phillips in "Captain America: The First Avenger". He was initially skeptical about the scrawny and frail Steve Rogers being chosen for the Super Soldier Program. He later became one of the founding members of SHIELD in 1945 after the end of World War II.

Coleman later changed his mind and announced on live television that he pallned to reveal the real identity of Batman on "Gotham Tonight", but The Joker comes by via phone call, threatening to blow up a hospital if Reese wasn't killed within the hour, since the Joker didsn't want Reese to spoil the fun of the battle between himself and Batman. After Reese was saved by Bruce Wayne from being run down by a madman's truck, he gratefully agreed to keep Batman's true identity a secret, and vowed never to speak of it again.
