Big Idea day 1

Long queue for ceratin sections of the Big Idea region. It was 1.45 pm at the time I reached Plaza Singapura after knocking off from work.


Event hosted by a deejay named Young. Last seen hosting Media Fiesta in early March.

Channel 8 artistes grace the stage for first segment... Darren Lim, Ong Ai Leng and EELYN!!! They later went to the Scan n Win Booth to mingle with the people there. Oh ya, I got sabo'ed on stage by Young and ended up co-winner of the Lucky 7 game with Naomi!! :-D


Cast of "Red Thread"... Adrian and Aileen. By the end of Thursday's episode, we now know that Alex Sung is the elder son of Kong Wah and Suzanne. I felt it would have been better if least 2 more cast members could come, like Celest, Julian or Tracy.


Cast of Fighting Spiders... 7 of them!! Edwin (Lee Soon Lee), Shijie (Charlie Leong), Frederick (Peter Livingston), Janice (Mabel Lee), Bobby Tonelli (David Livingston), Kimberly (Yi Ling) and Sonnia (Samantha).


Cast of Polo Boys... Adrian and Nat, who play father and son.


Cast of "Sayang Sayang", Michelle Chong and John Lee (younger brother of Dick Lee).



Game time... the "Fighting Spiders" team versus the "Red Polo Sayang" team. The bigger team won obviously.


Yep, this was how Nat recated when he saw me among the crowd... cute right? :-p


Tha tall and dashing Bobby posing for fans. Some of you might remember him as Paul Robertson, the European lawyer who married Yueniang in "The Little Nyonya". Just don't ask him about that rumor started by Wan Bao...


That very tall and lean guy is my army friend Lee Xuncheng, he was a security guard for the event!! I found it rather ironic cos years ago during NS, I joked with my bunkmates that XC could become a security guard due to his height and no-nonsense persona... never thought that it would turn out to be real!! :-D

Pure luck at Marina Square!!

Happy Birthday to...
19th March- Evan Bourne, Caris
20th March- Veriza, Ian

I can't believe it!! For the first time ever, I bumped into a filming scene at Marina Square earlier today by 100% pure luck... and it involved one of my faves!!! :-O

Firstly, I left the house at 12 plus and took train to City Hall... went to Suntec Convention for some Jobs DB event (into first day). Response was quite positive with abt 2000 people inside... I applied for a few jobs online via application portal.


Then I went to Marina Square to look around... at 3 plus, I walked past a cafe at the direction to Suntec and saw lots of people surrounding it. I realized that filming was taking place at the cafe, with a short-haired beauty drinking a cup of coffee. I looked closely and found out that it was... EELYN!!! :-O And nearby stood Christopher Lee looking rather gloomy. They are part of the cast for "My School Daze" which is set to debut on Channel 8 next month. Photography was prohibited at that time, so I refrained from taking secret shots from my camera phone (I'm not a desperado). But I can show you a rough diagram on their positions during the first filming scene...


I managed to chat with Eelyn as she headed for thr restroom to change clothes... I didn't take pic with her cos I didnt want to disturb her (esp since she and Chris had to film another scene outside). So I went to a food court near the outdoor region where Chris and Eelyn were filming, reading newspaper and taking secret shots when the crew weren't looking. Funny bit was when Chris had to jump down a flight of stairs and exclaimed, "Wo Cheng Gong Le!!!" (I made it!!), and that shocked some passers-by. The crew and cast then packed up and left. I failed to catch up and lost sight of them shortly after that, but that's alright... at least I was happy to have chatted with Eelyn at one point (never mind if I couldnt take pic with her) :-)


So I went to have dinner at Suntec foodcourt, headed back home by bus. Now watching WWE Smackdown and the last episode of "A Perfect Cut 2"... congratulations to MVP for beating Shelton Benjamin to become new United States Champion!!! :-D

Little Nyonya event at Suntec City

Happy Birthday to Thomas Ong and Andrew Yesterday I left the house at 9 plus and took train to Suntec... when I reached there, I was quite surprised yet relieved to see a rather small queue at the Tropics Atrium. I joined the Naturals and soon after came Valerie. Long story cut short, the queue increased by 2 plus, and the artistes reached the place at abt 1450 hrs, drawing loud cheers from people from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd levels. Quite surprising part was, the 3rd level was only half filled with people.

The cast who showed up for the event were Jeanette Aw (Juxiang/Yueniang), Dai Yang Tian (Shanben Yangjian), Xiang Yun (Tianlan, Old Yueniang), Ng Hui (Ah Tao), Darren Lim (Huang Jincheng), Eelyn (Zhenzhu), Andie Chen (Tianbao) and Nat (Jonathan Lee). The emcee for the event was Cuifang.

Olivia Ong also showed up, she sang "如燕" in spite of a sore throat. She looked quite skinny, but still beautiful of course. Take care of yourself, babe!

Then came the hand-shaking part... chaos ensued soon after. Immediately after getting off the stage, I took cab with Pamela, Valerie and Irene to Radiogate. We reached the place at abt 1625 hrs, to see a few Jeanius fans already there before us... not to forget a few more fans elsewhere (a hairy goblin and a sweaty ogre, urghhh). Later I found out from someone who was still at Suntec that the cast had left the place at 1640 hrs!! :-O

Ok, so the big yellow bus containing the cast and crew returned at abt 1705 hrs. Jeanette was the first to head out of RG, but for a short while only. She took group photo with her fanclub, then signed on various items (my magazine included, yippee!!). Afterwards she was escorted back into RG by 2 female production assistants.

Xiang Yun drove out at abt 1715 hrs, signing on various articles then heade back home where her kids were waiting. Ng Hui drove out a few minutes later, but never even stopped!! :-( Close to 1730 hrs, Darren and Eelyn drove out... this time it was easier to catch them. Knowing that there wasn't enough time for me to take pic with Eelyn, I opted to take pic with Darren instead. Oh, and I succeeded in passing to Eelyn the belated Christmas gift, hurray!! :-D Right after that, Nat drove out, in his car were Andie and 2 female crewmembers (the same ones who were with Jeanette earlier on). Hehe, double happiness!! :-)

1740 hrs- a familiar face was seen walking up the stairs... it's Rong Ming!! Havent seen him for long time already :-)

1825 hrs- a cute little squirrel suddenly popped out from nowhere and ran into Radiogate... even the security guards were astonished by its presence... they couldn't do anything to stop it from 'illegal entry' :-p

1845 hrs- got a few leggy babes and solid hunks report back to MDC, no idea who they are. Zoe Tay arrived soon after!!

1850 hrs- Cynthia Koh drove out and stopped at one side. Ok, maybe I should take back my views on her being rather snob... she's better than Mr AT and Miss FW right??? They drove off without even stopping... but can roughly understand their reasons for doing so :-(

1905 hrs- Adam Chen drove inside to collect something, then stopped near the shelter to sig autographs as well as take pic with fans. I realised it's the first time i took pic with him in the day (ok, it was sunset, but the sky hadn't turned dark yet).

Soon after Adam drove off, I decided to leave the place along with Valerie and Irene... then a sleek-mhaped car drove past us rather quickly... I saw the driver within a split second, and realised that it was RUI EN!!! DOH DOH DOHHHHHH!!! :-O (then again, there's always a next time)

Nevertheless, the 3 of us had dinner at AMK Hub, went shopping for a while then took separate buses to respective homes. After uploading the pictures in the computer, I went to bed at abt 11.45 pm. Crazy but worthwhile day indeed!! :-)
