Outing at East Coast Park

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HUI TING AND ZHIXUAN

Thank God it didn't rain at all today!! For there was a very heavy downpour for the past 2 days... so of course I was worried that the same thign might happen again... but when i woke up early, the sky was very clear indeed!! And in fact, the weather reamined clear for the rest of the day!!! Many many thanks to the Almighty God :-)
I met up wif Benny at Bedok bus interchange... then we tried to hail a taxi, but after 20 miutes of wait, we decided to take a bus instead. It took us nearly an hour to locate Pit Number 39 at East Coast Park (so happened it's at Area D)... then soon after, the rest of the gang arrived (Gerald, Jeremy, Jian Wei, Hoonie, Syafiq, Farhan, Louisa and Wanran) and we set up everything... only problem: Jasmine will be arriving late at around 3 pm. We thought at first that she was angry wif us over a small dispute, but that wasn't the case at all.

Nevertheless, we went ahead wif preparing the BBQ pit as well as the food (spagetthi, chicken wings, hot dogs). We were soon joined by two young Jasmine fans Samantha and Regina... at abt 1430 hrs, after a few minutes of boredom, we decided to play Indian poker. Jasmine and 2 close friends of hers (Sherlyn and Esther) arrived at 4 pm. I rushed to buy new batteries for the hi-fi set at 7-eleven while the others chatted abt. By the time I got back, my head, neck and forearms were totally sunburnt. Wanran and Louisa left soon after the group photos, and the rest of us went to play Indian poker, but wif a twist: the person to get 3 penalties had to do a forfeit. And the first victim to do forfeit was none other than... ME!!! Wah piang, I think Gerald's card deck is jinxed... I should learn never to trust the Ace of Diamonds ever again. Next victim was Jian Wei, followed by Gerald, and the last victim was Benny. But since Ben failed to accomplish the dare objective of stopping a cyclist, Jasmine had to substitute for him by taking up the dare to ask a stranger for the time while waering a lot of watches... and of course, there were people who actually recognise her, including the 4 bare-bodied hunks who were aware of the game.
At 1745 hrs, Jasmine and her friends had to leave, and so did the 2 young gals and Benny. So left only 6 of us guys: myself, Gerald, Jeremy, Jian Wei, Syafiq and Farhan. We finished up the spagetthi, packed up the stuff and made our way out of East Coast Park... into the main road at Marine Parade. Then from there I took a bus back home, and yep that's how I ended up here at home typing the whole encounter, hehe (I even missed out an episode of Bai Wan Bao just to finish all this!!) :-p
Many thanks mostly to Gerald and Jeremy making this outing a success in spite of a few 'bumps'... and many thanks to all those who attended the party and made it a truly unforgettable one!! :-)
