Transformers AOE film informatics Part 33: Ravage

Ravage specializes in infiltration. A frequent partner of Soundwave, he does the dirty work of the larger Decepticon. Ravage's body and armament are all dedicated to hitting the enemy before they even know what hit them. He can be orbitally inserted at fifteen times the speed of sound, spy inside highly secure locations using swarms of microcons, and generally ruin your day. He respects the danger humans present though, as they were the ones who managed to defeat Megatron.

Perhaps due to his origin as a reengineered mechanimal, some doubt Ravage's sentience, and there is debate on the degree to which he is a distinct entity, rather than an extension of Soundwave's will. However, he's displayed guile, cunning, and split-second tactical thinking, making it hard for others to believe he does not have some innate intelligence. In reality, Ravage just considers the other Decepticons beneath him, and allows his eerie, silent ways and manner to alienate him from his comrades. Soundwave is the one exception: the two are kindred spirits, understanding each other's true nature and motives.

In Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Ravage was launched to Earth by Soundwave with the objective to steal an Allspark shard. He landed in the ocean near the NEST base, and quickly jumped over the fence. He searched the area, coming to a ventilation pipe that leads to the Allspark shard room. He disgorges thousands of what appear to be ball bearings down the pipe. These tiny transformers known as the Microcons, combined into a razor-thin robot (named Reedman) which acquired the shard, and escaped from the base. Ravage covered their retreat as he heads to the Constructicons before accompanying them to revive Megatron. Ravage also deployed Scalpel when they find Megatron.

Ravage reappeared at the final battle in Egypt, when Bumblebee is amidst the fight with Rampage. Ravage jumps onto Bumblebee's back and attacks him violently. Bumblebee grabs Ravage and rips out his tail, pulling out his spine with it, killing him (ouch). Bumblebee even used the tail as a whip briefly against Rampage (double ouch!).

ALTERNATE MODE AND WEAPONRY
Ravage's alternate mode is an entry pod-missile that is launched by Soundwave from orbit to the Earth. Ravage is armed with what appears to be twin heavy machine guns mounted on his back, possibly firing standard projectiles or Cybertronian ammunition of some nature. Other armaments belonging to Ravage are mounted to his chassis, one being a mace-like tail and razor edged claws. Presumably due to his serrated appearance with multiple sharp, bladed edges, contact with him at all may cause some damage.

REEDMAN
Reedman is the form taken by a swarm of microcons when they combine together. The combined, mantis-like form is razor-thin, allowing for nigh-invisibility when seen from certain angles.
