HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO BEVERLY AND CHEYRENE
School as usual... attendance was slightly better, but my dissent towards the soon-to-fail students remained (same goes to those who chose to work at night rather than sleep early and go to school). Having nothing much to do at home (esp since I got the day off from work), I decided to go out to Plaza Singapura, for there was a roadshow on "881", a Royston Tan film on the origins of getai. The cast arrived at around 2030 hrs... first to come up on stage were the Papaya Sisters played by Mindee Ong and Yeo Yan Yan. Soon after came the Durian Sisters played by VJ twins May and Choy... then Royston Tan and Qi Yuwu went on stage.
After that, there were 4 performances...
- Papaya Sisters (cutie dance)
- Durian Sisters (HAWT dance!)
- A certain singer from Malaysia singing the end theme wif guitar
- Yuwu and Royston singing a very fun Hokkien song while the gals dance around
881 debuts in all cinemas on National Day, 9th August... I cant wait to watch it!! :-)
