X-Men Days Of Future Past film informatics Part 15: Ink

Eric Gitter, also known as Ink, is a mutant from the 1970s. He is a loud-mouthed and arrogant teenager with a criminal past. He is introduced when two police officers attempt to arrest him in a tattoo parlor. He is later seen at a military camp with 3 other mutants, as part of an army battalion for the Vietnam War.

Powers
Ink possesses different abilities for every tattoo he has printed on his body. They were tattooed onto him by a Mutant Tattoo artist named Leon Nunez.

Illness - The bio-hazard tattoo his right palm gives him the power to make other people extremely ill, causing them to vomit violently.

Healing ability - The Caduceus symbol on his left palm allows him to heal others.

Super Strength - The linear tattoo on his left forearm gives him super strength. The lines look similar to the banding on Colossus' flesh when he transforms, indicating a toughening of Ink's flesh.

Explosive abilities - The "explosive" symbol tattooed on his right biceps allows him to blow up objects, and once even helped him punch through a wall.

Mind Reading - The two lightning bolt tattoos on his head give him the ability to read minds, but can be blocked by psi-shields.

Flight - The wing tattoos on his back grant him flight, similar to that of Angel.

Phoenix Force - The Phoenix Force symbol over his eye allows him to use a facsimile of the Phoenix's powers. This was the tattoo that caused Leon to go into a coma upon adding it to Eric's body.
