X-Men Days Of Future Past film informatics Part 20C: The X-Men from original trilogy

These X-Men appear in the first 3 X-Men films between 2000 to 2006. Only Rogue, Jean Grey and Cyclops make surprise cameos towards the end of X-Men: Days Of Future Past, due to the altered timeline from 1973 which essentially eliminated the happenings from X-men: The Last Stand.

Scott Summers, codename Cyclops
Cyclops is the field leader of the X-Men, and one of Professor X's first students. He possesses the ability to shoot a powerful red-colored energy blast from his eyes that can destroy anything in its wake. However, as his power is uncontrollable and continuous, he consequently wears ruby-quartz as lenses in glasses or in his visor, which is generally the only way for him to safely see without inadvertently damaging his surroundings. Cyclops is naturally immune to his own power, and can manipulate the beams in several different ways, partially through the use of adjustable apertures in his specialized ruby-quartz visor that allow the beams to fire through their shielding at variable levels.

Jean Grey, codename Phoenix
Jean Grey is a very powerful mutant, who possessed vast, potentially limitless telepathic and telekinetic abilities. When her powers first manifest, Jean is unable to cope with her telepathy, forcing Professor X to suppress her access to it altogether. Instead, he chooses to train her in the use of her telekinesis while allowing her telepathy to grow at its natural rate before reintroducing it. Jean's telepathy allows her to read, influence, control, and communicate with the minds of others, project her mind into the astral plane, and generate telepathic force blasts that can stun or kill others. Her telekinetic skill is at a supremely high power-level, capable of grasping objects in Earth orbit and manipulating hundreds of components in mid-air in complex patterns. She often uses her telekinesis to lift herself and others, giving her the ability of levitation and flight. She uses her telekinesis to create durable shields and energy blasts.
As the Phoenix, her powers escalate to a considerably higher level, allowing her to rearrange or disintegrate matter at a subatomic level, fly unaided through space, survive in any atmosphere, and manipulate electromagnetic and cosmic energies for various effects and atmospheric disturbances.

Marie D'Canto, codename Rogue
Rogue has the power to absorb a person's memories and life force, and, in the case of mutants, absorbs their powers as well. The person being touched will feel weakened or get unconscious, or may even die if Rogue holds on for too long. Because this ability is involuntary, Rogue consequently has to wear thick clothing and gloves to cover most parts of her body. She had absorbed the powers of mutants like Magneto, Wolverine, Iceman, Pyro and Colossus. In the middle of The Last Stand, Rogue decides to take the cure so that she can do normal activities like a handshake, a hug or a kiss, although it is implied at the end of the film that the cure may not be permanent.

Kurt Wagner, codename Nightcrawler
Nightcrawler is an indigo-skinned mutant with pointed ears, 3 fingers on each hand, 2 toes on each foot and a prehensile tail which he can use as a weapon, or for clinging onto a beam. His abilities are superhuman agility, teleportation, and invisibility in deep shadows. In spite of his demonic appearance, Kurt is a very religious man, with strong faith in Catholicism. Kurt was recruited into the X-Men after the mission at Alkali Lake, but after less than a year, he resigns from the team because he does not wish to lead a violent life, preferring to live a simple life with aspirations to be a Catholic priest.

Warren Worthington III, codename Angel
Warren is a mutant who possesses two large, white-feathered wings on his back that allow him to fly. Angel can fold them on his back so that there is only a slight bump showing from his clothing. Angel was able to grow back his cut-off wings, which he tried to get rid of as a teenager. He is shown to have the strength to hold adult human weight in the air.

Jimmy, codename Leech
Leech is a mutant with the ability to momentarily, temporarily or permanently deactivate the powers and energies of the others unintentionally.. His DNA is the source of the "cure" for the mutant X-Gene, the cure being a sort of retroviral gene therapy. Magneto plans to kill Leech, who is being kept at Alcatraz, thus destroying the mutant cure and preserving the mutant species. Leech uses his power to nullify Juggernaut's power to save himself and Kitty Pryde (who was sent to rescue him), causing the huge mutant to knock himself out upon colliding with a wall. Jimmy is seen evacuating Alcatraz Island with Pryde and Bobby Drake, along with the other survivors. Leech was later accepted as a member of the X-Mansion and received by the new leader Storm.

Jubilation Lee, codename Jubilee
Jubilee has the ability to project pyrotechnic energy plasmoids, which are often mistaken for fireworks. The strength of the energy plasmoids varies in degrees of power and intensity, and could range from a multitude of colorful sparkles capable of temporarily blinding a person to a powerful detonation capable of smashing objects and destroying property, or a precision burst inside a human brain, simulating the effects of a massive stroke. Jubilee could absorb the fireworks back into her own body without harm.

Theresa Cassidy, codename Siryn
Siryn has the ability to produce a very loud, high pitched scream. She can also vary the pitch to deflect projectiles, and she even used it to deflect lasers on one occasion. She possesses an enhanced sense of hearing and can use her voice for echolocation to detect objects. She can shatter objects; project concussive blasts of sonic force (a "sonic lance"); or cause immediate pain, nausea, and unconsciousness.
