Discussions on army magazines, and watching a movie free of charge!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO RADIAH

Not much done in school... still very few of us came for PE. And Phiz is still absent for the second time this week (just exactly what has he been up to this time???). And Hakim finally showed up in school after a week's absence, only to be warned that he may be out of the school if he were to do such things again. Miss April's lesson on Character Design made us wish we were in the computer lab instaed of in the classroom. Well, looks like Miss R is already close to getting expelled soon (given her repeated MIA track record)... same for Mr D who came to school super late at 1130 hrs, waaaay after the last lesson had already ended??? SCREW THAT IGNORANT FELLA!!! >:-(

Still, I had lunch at the canteen, then changed to my Maroon 5 shirt and took a bus to Orchard Cinelesiure... where I groaned at the sight of poor Bumblebee lying face down in the display. Wont the security at least be kind enough to do something abt the standing arrangements of the toys?!? Anyway, Superman reached Cineleisure early at ard 1310 hrs, and then we headed for a quick discussion on unsubscribing from PIONEER magazine at Long John's Silver... after which, we headed for a 1-hr Internet session at E-Max upstairs. My initial plan was to play a certain Transformers game inside, but it turns out the game may have been either removed or installed elsewhere... after we were done wif Internet surfing, me and Superman headed to Orchard HMV to look thru some DVDs... managed to see Batman DVDs, Transformers DVDs, Thundercats, Masters of The Universe, and many more stuff that bring a nostalgic feel...

Oh, and we get to watch a FREE movie in HMV as well (minus tickets, popcorn and the seats)... the WWE film that never made it to the cinemas, "The Marine". And after watching the film for the whole 90 minutes, I finally came to understand the reason behind its exclusion from the cinemas... the plot was rather bland and relied too much on the action than on the character development. The scriptwriters obviousy cant think of a better storyline... let alone use this film to promote John Cena and his lack of acting talents. In the first 40 mins, we get to see John Cena get discharged from the army for not following a direct order, and then he gets fired from his job as a security guard... after that, his wife Kate (a very hot chick named Kelly Carlson, one of the leads for Nip/Tuck) gets kidnapped by some terrorists led by Robert Patrick aka the T-1000. Cena manages to escape from a blown-up police car, and the police wouldnt want to help him, so Cena takes out the entire gang by himself. By the time it got to the final showdown between the WWE Champ and the former terminator (who didnt melt in the explosion), I was already close to yawning. I was going "LOL!!" with the really quick ending after John Triton defeats Rome. I would rather see Kate battle R-P's hawt female sidekick Angela (played by Abigail Bianca) in the earlier fight, than see that dreadful vehicle chase and Cena's unbeliavable escapes thru THREE explosions. John McClane, he aint. 2 out of 5 for the overall film, 4 out of 5 for the hotties, 1 for Cena's acting. Better stick to wrestling on RAW, John.
