Wrestle Mania 23 results

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ZAIHAR (SFB), LYDIA AND AVRIL

Im not too pleased with the match arrangements on Wrestle Mania 23... I mean, the WWE people put the most important match in the MIDDLE of the PPV instead of making it the second last or very last match on the card!! What are they driving to?!? >:-(
Warning to those reading this entry... if you dont want to read the results on Wrestle Mania 23, then I strongly urge you to go to another website!!

Money In The Bank- Edge vs Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton vs CM Punk vs Mr Kennedy vs Matt Hardy vs Finlay vs King Booker
The birthday boy Randy Orton didnt win (DAMN!!), and neither did the former MITB winner Edge. A Smackdown wrestler did (one who is full of pride and has a VERY LOUD VOICE).

Kane vs The Great Khali
The giant who can't speak good English, appeared in "The Longest Yard", and holds a better winning streak than anyone else, won this one. No surprise here.

United States Championship match- Chris Benoit vs MVP
Not even a promising newcomer dressed up like a Power Ranger can escape the deadly clutches of the Rabid Wolverine, who was clearly the more experienced of the two.

World Heavyweight Championship Match- Batista vs The Undertaker
Oh for the love of God, why put the most important match in the middle of the PPV?!?! This horrendous match arrangement just kills the anticipation of the PPV, and with that, Im not going to reveal the outcome (then again, it's quite obvious, isn't it? The one with the undefeated streak will still prevail in the end)

ECW Originals (Sandman, Tommy dreamer, Rob Van Dam and Sabu) vs The New Breed (Elijah Burke, Kevin Thorn, Marcus Cor Von and Matt Striker)
The team consisting of a action film star lookalike, a Singapore cane-swinging hardcore wrestling veteran, a madman named after a Spider-Man villain (who also swings a Singapore cane), and a genocidal-homicidal-suicidal highflyer from Arabia wins this one. Need i say more?

Battle of the Billionaires- ECW Champion Bobby Lashley (representing Donald Trump) vs Intercontinental Champion Umaga w/ Armando Alejandro Estrada (representing Vincent K McMahon)... special guest referee is Stone Cold Steve Austin
The billionaire whose representative loses the match will get his head shaved BALD.
The bald wrestler (and the more popular of the two) wins this one of course (and it wasnt without controversy), and Vinny Mac does indeed lose his crowning glory. Who would want to see The Donald bald in the next season of The Apprentice anyway? Indeed, the Texas Rattlesnake does raise hell, and gets to stun THREE people!!

WWE Women's Championship, Lumberjill stipulation- Ashley vs Melina
From what we know, the latest Playboy model won't need to jump to RAW or take the title along to Smackdown, esp since it was a no-contest. "Oooooh Im very surprised". Yeah right... the women's division just isn't the same without established ring veterans Trish Stratus and Lita (since they both retired last year). But I have to admit that some of the Divas are indeed improving on their in-ring talents. The same can't quite be said for Ashley and Melina though.

WWE Championship- John Cena vs Shawn Michaels
I really hate the fact that this match had to be the last one, when it's not even as highly anticipated as the World Heavyweight Title match. To make things worse, the two bitter enemies are still World Tag Team Champions as of this posting. Just like years before, Shawn Michaels (wearing the DX colors at Wrestle Mania for the first time in 9 years) bleeds profusely yet again (no, his blood is not green), and Cena's WrestleMania winning streak is still intact with 4 wins to 0 losses. At least this time, there weren't many boos like last year's horrendous showdown between Triple H and Cena. Things could have worked differently if The Game hadn't been taken out of his game (no pun intended) early this year.
