Unbelievable!! Fernando Alonso overcame all the odds and won the first ever night race!! :-O
Spain's Fernando Alonso won his first race in a year at the Singapore Grand Prix on Sunday, taking the chequered flag in a drama-filled inaugural night race as a comical error cost Felipe Massa dearly. Alonso claimed his 20th career triumph by 2.95 seconds over Germany's Nico Rosberg Williams and Britain's world championship leader Lewis Hamilton.
"It is fantastic, I am extremely happy. I can't believe it right now and it will take a few days to realise what we have done," said Alonso. "Winning had seemed impossible all season but we have been competitive all weekend. The car was super."

I'm actually glad that Alonso prevailed and never gave up, despite going through a very rough patch during the qualifying rounds on Sat night. Thank goodness Lewis Hamilton didn't win gthe top prize, though he did win 3rd place. I don't have anything against Hamilton, but I feel that he's a little 'overrated', somewhat reminds me of the former boxing champ Floyd Mayweather (who retired a few weeks ago),but minus the arrogance. When it comes to being the next Michael Schumacher, Alonso comes the closest.
