Babes, classic cars and rockers on Saturday night

Happy Birthday to Bryon, Stephanie, Natalie and Yixi
Start of the Cancer star

Yesterday was another day of madness... yet everything went smoothly. this was how it went...

0900-1300 hrs: Worked in morning shift of course. The moment L and S arrived to cover afternoon shift, I got permission to be knocked off, and with that I took a taxi to Chinatown region.

1300-1420 hrs: I met up with Ishardi, Syazali and Shanwei to watch abt more than a dozen beautiful gals grace the stage at Chinatown Point as part of Miss Earth Singapore 2009 pageant. The Environmental Parade was hosted by former Ch 8 actor Raymond Yong (now balding greatly at 41 yrs old) and Miss Earth Singapore Fire winner Yen Wu Ling (she looked a bit like Jessica Tan). All the babes looked sizzling hot in tight white shirts and denim shorts. There were actually 15 contestants, but one of them was absent possibly cos she was unwell or something. I noticed a few photographers behaving a little awkward in front of the ladies, one of them actually tood very close to the

1420-1620 hrs: After a quick lunch, the 4 of us headed down to China Square Central to look thru the WWE figures, Transformers, Star Wars toys, Power Ranger robots, Marvel toys and even semi-nude female figurines (whoops!!). Before heading back to Chinatown MRT station, we saw a variety of classic cars, including a red-colored Mini similar to the one driven by Chen Liping.

1630-1800 hrs: I took train to Outram Park Interchange and headed to the usual bus stop in front of HSA... took Bus 970 all the way to Bukit Panjang Plaza... I had no idea that the journey was soooo long (exactly 1 hour xiah)!! Lucky I had MP3 from my phone, so that was more than enough to kill time. Upon reaching BPP, I had quick dinner at KFC, then headed to Garden Plaza.

1815-1915 hrs: There were few people present then, but thankfully more people started coming in from 8 pm onwards. The only guys I was familiar with were Xing Yu and Kenneth (arghh). As the groups were rehearsing, there was a very heavy downpour!! But even that wasn't enough to dampen our spirits one bit.

1915-2045 hrs: The concert started proper, and it was hosted by some petite Chinese girl named Shauna. The performances I watched at around this time were as follows...
- Marcus and his band XD (I think) performing 2 English songs and a Chinese songs. Great teamwork, but I seriously dislike the bass player, he thinks he very great and pro, kept bossing the otehrs around.
- Campus Superstar finalist Yap Jiamin sang 1 English song ("Saving All My Love For You" by Whitney Houston) and 2 Chinese songs (one by Stefanie Sun and the other by forgot who). Given her melodious tone, strong vocal control and versatility, it was most evident that she was many times more deserving of the CSS 3 title, more so than that young brat known as Mr Lee!!! :-(
- Game time between 3 people... Joselin and 2 Malay guys. they had to outmatch each other tin a game of... HULA HOOP!!! :-O
- A Malay rock band of 5 known as KnighWings performed 2 English songs and a Malay song. They were exceptionally good with Meat Loaf's "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)". They rock to the max!! :-)
- Campus Superstar finalist Joselin Huang sang 2 Chinese songs... forgot the name of the first one, but second song was "Hi Hi" by Zhang Huei Mei. After that, myself and the other 2 guys took picture with Jos at backstage, as well as pass belated birthday gifts to her.
- A group of 5 Malay guys (forgot the band's name) performed next... but I didn't stay long cos it was then that I decided to head back home. I did however hear them perform the very familiar tune of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers". :-)

2045-2230 hrs: Took bus from Bukit Panjang Interchange to Dhoby Ghaut (saw in awe the colorful sights of Ion Orchard and the shopping center located opposite Centerpoint), then took train back to Kovan. Reached home and did a bit of Bible reading before heading off to bed by midnihgt. And I totally forgot about the local tele-movie titled "Angel" starring Nat Ho and Patrick Teoh!!! DOOOHHHHH!!!! :-(((
