Olinda and Jonathan at Popular BookFest

Continued from last post...
Me and Karen decided to take a bus to Suntec at around 1715 hrs. We reached the Convention Hall, watching Olinda sing "Karma Chameleon" (I missed out on the first song, but I think it's "Aint Nobody"). She then had an autograph session for fans who had bought her debut album "Rewind". Response was quite good, but I couldnt see any of her fans in the place. the emcees were Nick Shen Weijun and someone I dont really know.

Then at 6 pm, JONATHAN GOT ON STAGE!!! The way he spoke to the hosts in Chinese was quite funny, but got some improvement. First song he sang was "Qing Qian 25". After that, he sang Chen Hanwei's song "Xiang Xing". But before the second song, there was some quiz for fans to answer. There were 4 questions, and i answered the second one. First one was answered by Kaileng, third by a teenage gal, and last one by a very young gal!! This was how the conversation went after i got on stage... my Chinese still CMI btw. For those who cant speak or read Chinese, I haf provided translations for better understanding. :-)

Nick: Hi, ni jiao se me ming zhi? (Hi there, what's your name?)
Me: Wo jiao Tanat. (my name is Tanat)
Nick: Tanat? Shi bu shi t-u-n-n-e-l?
Me: Bu shi, shi...(no, it's spelt like this)
Jon + me: T-A-N-A-T
Me (surprised): wah, ni hai ji de? xie xie! (wow, you know how to spell my name? Thanks!)
Nick: Ni shi Jonathan de fan ma? (are u a fan of Jonathan?)
Me: dang ran ah. (of course!)
Nick: Ni wei se me xi huan Jonathan? (why do u like Jonathan?)
Me: Ying wei ta hen shuai! (Bcos he is very handsome!)
Jon (smiling): Xie xie! (Thank you!!)
Nick: Hao you ne? (anything else?)
Me: Ta chang ge hen bang. (his singing is superb.)
Nick: Rang hou ne? (and then?)
Me: Wo jue de ta de zui chun hen xing gan (I think his lips are sexy)
Other emcee: Se me? Zai suo yi ci. (what? Pls say it again)
Me (tongue in cheek): Ta de zui chun hen xing gan (He got sexy lips)
Nick: Ni shi bu shi yao KISS ta? (is it you want to kiss him?)
Me: ah, bu yao!! Wo shi STRAIGHT de. (ah, no no no no!! I am straight.)
Other emcee: Ha ha ha, kai wan xiao er yi. (haha, just kidding only)
Nick: Ni yao gen Jonathan liu chang tou fa ma? (Do u want to grow your hair long like Jonathan?)
Me: Errr... bu yong la. Wo bi jiao xi huan duan tou fa. (er no thanks. I prefer my hair to be short as it is)
Jon: Wo jue de ru guo ta you chang tou fa, ta hui hen hao kan de (I feel that if Tanat were to keep his hair long, he would look really good)
Me: zhen de ah? Xie xie (U really think so? Thanks!)
Nick: ok ok, wo yao wen ni... Jonathan de chong wen ming zhi si se me? (ok ok, let me ask you... what is Jonathan's Chinese name?)
Me: Liang Wei Kuang.
Nick: Ni ken ding ma? (U sure or not?)
Me: Ken ding! (confirm!)
Nick: Zai lai yi ci. (say it again)
Me: Liang Wei Kuang.
Nick: Kuang!
Me: Kuang!
Nick: Kuang!
Me: Kuang!
Jon: hao la, gei ta na ge poster la, ta da dui le (aiyah, give him the poster already, he answered correctly)

Of course I went up on stage to get the Qing Qian 25 album autographed, and i took pic wif Jon for the third time (but the person got poor timing). The queue for this one was much longer than the one for Olinda. Then Jon was escorted out of the place very very fast, much like last time.

For dinner, the 12 of us went for dinner at Marina Square, eating Thai food. But before that, I was surprised to see three very familiar faces performing at the 2nd level...

CATSINECRADLE??? :-O

And even more shocking... we found out that Jon will be involved in a New year's Countdown party at Punggol East, and it involves the Asian Idol Hady, as well as... RUI EN??? @_@ Im still gonna give it a miss...

Stay tuned to the next entry for pictures at the Popular Bookfest ;-)
