Watching a few movies at one go

Happy Birthday to Tay Ping Hui, Katie Lea Burchill and Cheryl

During these 2 days of inactivity from Internet connection, I watched a few movies, mostly at home.

Saturday, 8th Nov
The only movie which I watched in a cinema was "Quantum of Solace", the first direct sequel to a preceding Bond film (namely Casino Royale). Quite good show to watch with all that action and explosion... but storyline a bit too cheem for me to understand. Still I got to admit that Daniel Craig is perhaps the most badass, hardcore and ruthless James Bond ever, making no apologies for the number of people he had killed throughout the 2 films. I rate it 8 out of 10, quite worth the watch for fans or non-fans of James Bond alike.

I then joined Mother and Tris for dinner, and back home I watched a bit of WWE Raw on Super Sports, followed by "Disturbia" from 9 to 10.30 pm on HBO... starring Shia LaBeouf, David Morse and Carrie-Ann Moss. Then I watched "Lost in Space" on Channel 5, starring William Hurt, Gary Oldman, Mimi Rogers, Matt LeBlanc and Heather Graham.

Sunday, 9th Nov (yesterday)
As per the 3-week basis, I did camera duty for morning service. Sermon had gotta do with verses from Isaiah and a few verses from the Gospel of John. I couldn't join Tris to donate blood for the second time due to a running nose I had gotten in the morning (just my luck, grrr). But I did donate a few clothes to the church committee. Mother, Tris and myself had lunch at Heartland Mall, then basically slacked at home. Can I say that I'm rather dismayed by the fact that the WWE Cyber Sunday 2008 VCDs had yet to hit the shelves?? :-/

Anyway from 1 to 2.45 pm, I watched "Kangaroo Jack" (quite funny, but serious lack of focus on the kangaroo), and from 7.45 to 9.30 pm, I watched "Madagascar", both movies I watched on Channel 5. I think I gotta watch "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" when it hits the cinemas in a few weeks' time ;-)

And tonight, I'm going for a Carrot Cake Conversations premiere at Vivo City!! Can't wait to see Andrea Fonseka once again... thanks a lot for helping me get tickets, Naomi :-)
