WWE Survivor Series 2008

The poster says it all... John Cena will be making his return at Survivor Series this coming Sunday, in his hometown of Massechusetts. But one thing I'm not too pleased about is the amount of hype on Cena's return and all those advertisements on his immense popularity and breaking into music and film. Makes him rather over-rated...

As we all know, the first match to be confirmed is indeed John Cena going one-on-one against Chris Jericho, who had regained the World Title from Batista on the 800th episode of Raw. Take note that Jericho had never beaten Cena one-on-one, and was 'fired' from the WWE (by then-GM Eric Bischoff) in August 2005 after losing a WWE Title rematch against Cena.

Triple H will defend the WWE Title (which he had held for more than 6 mths) in a Triple Threat match against Jeff Hardy and (for the first time) Vladimir Kozlov. Can you believe it, this marks the Russian powerhouse's first ever PPV event!! I hope The Game can kick Kozlov's butt and give him his first ever loss... as fof the high-flying warrior who's come so close to winning the title in recent weeks, this could be his last chance to get top gold at last.

Undertaker and Big Show will once again stand toe-to-toe when the two Superstars face off at Survivor Series in yet another brutal stipulation... a Casket Match. Will The Phenom finally punish Big Show for his sins, or will the World's Largest Athlete prevail?

And of course, Survivor Series can never really be complete without the traditional Survivor Series-type Elimination matches...

1. 5-on-5 Inter-promotional Survivor Series Elimination match #1... Team HBK: Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio, The Great Khali and Cryme Tyme (JTG and Shad) vs Team JBL: John "Bradshaw" Layfield, Kane, Montel Vontavious Porter, John Morrison and The Miz.
2. 5-on-5 Inter-promotional Survivor Series Elimination match #2... Team Batista: Batista, Matt Hardy, CM Punk, Kofi Kingston and R-Truth vs Team Orton: Randy Orton, Mark Henry, William Regal, Cody Rhodes and Shelton Benjamin.
3. 5-on-5 Divas' Elimination match... Team Raw (Beth Phoenix, Mickie James, Kelly Kelly, Candice Michelle, and Jillian Hall) vs. Team SmackDown (Michelle McCool, Victoria, Maria, Maryse, and Natalya).
