Another day of filming n fellowship at Mediacorp

Happy Birthday to Kenny Tang, Ariel and Eilania

Ok, yesterday started off in a slightly confusing note. I called William to ask if anyone is needed, he said that my services may not be required. Then abt 2 hrs later, he called me to ask if I can come down to Mediacorp at 2 pm. Alrighty!!! So I had my lunch at AMK Hub, then I reached Mediacorp at 1 plus. I explored the canteen in hopes to spot any celeb... I only managed to see Pan Lingling in kebaya. Other calefares who came around that time were Shermane (xiao mei meiiii!!) and Natalie. Sean came later, and we waited at Studio 5...

Only to be told by Khai that we were not required, til much later. But of course, no hard feelings at all. We did have a chat with Gurmit as well as Benjamin and Louis Fong (who got short hair???). So while the crew went out for filming, the 4 of us slacked at the lounge within the reception, sharing our thoughts on various artistes. This lasted for about 5 hours, kinda long huh. And yeah, it was raining cats and dogs at one time.

Of course during that time, the 4 of us had dinner at the canteen, where we were joined by Angeline (who is in charge of the wardrobe). Sometime around 6.30 pm, Sean had to leave for some filming session elsewhere, whereas myself and the 3 gals continued chatting, and then we could finally use Studio 5. We were joined by Vadi, aka "Mr India Curry House", or Sanjay Chapra in the sitcom.

Once inside, we waited for the crew to return. Sherm and I looked in awe as May applied some fake hair on Vadi's chin and sideburns. Gurmit got into the makeup room to check his email. Later on, Shermane helpd him edit some picture using Photoshop. Around that time, Fathim and Sean arrived.

Initially, this was supposed to be a pic of me and Vadi only... then Gurmit and Khai decided to join in the fun. Look at Gurm's hand! :-p

So far the main cast were present... Tracy wasn't really required for the scene (which will feature in Episode 8) in the studio interior, so no sign of her. Filming started rather late at 10 plus, cos the cast and crew needed to have dinner first. The calefares were instructed to walk past the main cast and chat normally.

At one time when the camera wasn't rolling, Gurms went on with his 'lipless' act (seen in shows like "PCK Pte Ltd" or "Gurmit's World") which got the cast members laughing til they nearly 'peng san', ha!! :-D

It was around that time that I saw an orange cat at the other end of the studio loading bay. XIAOOOO MAOOOO...!!! The shoot finished in less than an hour.

Here are the pictures we took after filming wrapped up...

The cast and crew of Calefare. Only the director and a few of the more important crewmembers stay behind, the rest of the crew have to go overseas to film another project. That includes Khai and Sharon. :-( Will miss them loads... high chance that most of us calefares would be called back into duty with the new crew til this Sunday, which is the deadline for "Calefare".

The crew and Ben going 'brokeback mountain', hehe. That's Sharon aka 'Zoey' in the middle. Ben looked a little drunk, having drunk a can of beer prior to this photo.

Me with Mastura, who played Kak Pon in the show. She's touted as the 'Huang Biren' of Suria, having been praised for her character acting, and also having won Best Actress award a few times in the Suria TV Awards (I think). Very nice and warm lady :-)

Me with May, makeup artiste and part-time actress from J-Team Productions.

Me with Khai and William.

Sean, Benjamin, Angeline, William and me.

We calefares left the studio at midnight, and took taxi back to our respective homes, while Gurms, Ben and the rest of the crew had durian for supper. Not beore I patted Shermane on the head again and exclaimed, "Xiao mei meiiiiiiii...". She'd be lucky that I had spared her from the Force Pinch... for now. :-p
