HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Hady Mirza, Nick Carter, Eric Png and Tan Eng Soon
Yesterday afternoon I went to Orchard Cineleisure to watch some preview screening for the telemovie titled "Heng or Huat"... quite worth the watch I must say. I can't provide much spoilers, but I can surely say that there is a morale to the story... we haf to rely on our own willpower to get good luck, not on stuff like gambling or taking up bets. Nat Ho had plenty of screentime in this show, since he plays the young son of a compulsive gamble played by Maggie Teng. Lin You Yi looks really chioh as a girl who just broke up wif her boyfriend and went steady wif Nat. Shawn Tok did quite ok as a heavenly messenger assigned to improve the lives of mother and son... he doesnt overact at all, his acting is quite natural. Lin Xiao and Belinda Lee also showed good comic timing, and stellar acting from Samuel Chong and Wang Yuqing. I rate the film 4 out of 5 stars... can't wait to see the cast at PS this coming Sat ;-)
Yesterday at abt 1.30 pm, former Indonesian President Suharto had left the living world at the age of 86, less than a week after Heath Ledger's sudden passing. Suharto's demise was expected, he had been battling for his life for more than a year (thru multiple organ failure and cardiac arrest). Without him, Indonesia wouldnt be a stable nation as it is today (although it got corrupted midway thru Suharto's reign). Hopefully, the citizens of Indonesia can let go of their hatred and learn to forgive Suharto for the many sins he had committed during his run as president from the 1970s to 1998. May he rest in peace.
And I just read some startling news in the latest issue of i-weekly... in the style of Darth Vader revealing to Luke Skywalker the truth about his father in Bespin in Star Wars: the Empire Strickes Back.
'Darth i-weekly': Come 6th February, Felicia Chin will be Chen Feng Ling no more... from next week onwards, she will be known as Chen Jing Xuan!!
Me: What?!? Chen Jing Xuan??? :-O NOOOO... that's not true!! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!
'Darth i-weekly': Search your feelings, you know it to be true.
Me: NOOOOO.... NOOOOOOO!!!!!! :,,,,-(
Why the name change, Fel??? Feng Ling suits you more!!! I cant believe this is happening... seems like there is nothing anyone can do about it. :-(
